Nice wide trails, dog friendly (please pick up after them) great views and plenty of wild life. Moderate terrain. Only downfall for me is no dogs allowed on the trails in winter when cross country skiing is going on. Too bad for me:(

Lots of frequent elevation change (600 ft is a net change), very poorly marked trail with markers only at trailhead or when it crossed a campground. There were no trail markers or distance markers, lots of lose rock and frequent forks to lose you way and your footing. On the plus side, some fantastic views and scenery along the way, just watch the transition from West Lake trail to East Lake trail. You have to find it yourself.

my favorite trail. I live in the area and always love going to this trail. its busy but worth it. wish people would stay off the waterfall (as there is a sign that says u can't go on it) so it can be there years from now

Absolutely beautiful hike. The views of the canyon are sweeping and breathtaking. We didn’t make it to the bridge but saw some really great views after only hiking 2.5-3 miles in. There are parts of the creek that get pretty deep (5-6 feet) and you can swim easily. The elevation gain felt very minor.

The trailhead is located at the very end of the campgrounds but if you’re not using a campground for overnight camping you need to park at the beginning of the campground area and walk through the road leading to the campsites all the way to the end. You could also walk on the horse/hiking trail from the visitor parking area which eventually connects to the trailhead at the end of the campgrounds.

This was my favorite hike due to the leisurely pace, sweeping views, and how uncrowded it was (and we did ice lakes and highland mary lakes also).

gorgeous! my favorite hike

Easy, simple hike.

nice trail slightly hilly gives a pretty good workout for an old lady like me ☀

Spectacular canyon views above the river for the first 3 miles. Up and down terrain in both directions makes for a more balanced hike out and return.

Arrived early and had the place to ourselves. Trail starts out easy and then you encounter rocks to get to the waterfall. Still easy going climbing around the rocks and worth it to get to the waterfall. Great place to photograph..

One of my favorite places to hike in the area. I try to do the blue loop at least once a year.

Short but interesting

Very nice hike, I made it to the 3rd bridge. Few trees down blocking path.

Pretty but got to watch out for the roots, rocks, and steep climb on the trails.

Wear water shoes and walk in the water back to the falls. Nice wide and paved trailhead. Short hike, but very fun and pretty.

Amazing and fun place to go mountain biking! A few trails available to go down that are different levels. Was a really rainy day, so it was slippery and slidey, but regardless an awesome time. OFF Deep Woods spray was not very effective, and there was no water around, so just prepare for that.

Perfect for biking and running as long as you keep moving to avoid the mosquitos. Great scenery and plenty of trail!

Beautiful!

This is a nice trail that goes around the entire lake. The people that have houses on the lake have given up a small strip of their land for you to walk on, so be mindful of that. Along those lines, there really aren't too many places to exit that trail once you get on it since it goes through private property. Make sure you bring snacks/water with you for however long you plan on walking.

4/5 stars because during the summer it's pretty crowded and the trail isn't very wide to accommodate the traffic. There are nice lake views and cool houses to see, though. I would do it again.

Awesome app! Would not be able to find best trailheads without it. It really got our family out into nature

Nice for running or biking. Very clear and straight path. Clusters of bugs because of stagnant water from creek so not great for walks/hiking.

been here several times, always beautiful views and opportunities to see wildlife.

Great trail for biking. you need to plan on 1.5 hours going hard. Great workout.. will keep your heart rate in the red zone for 75% of the time.

nice change in elevation but a little too wide of a trail for my liking.

Nice hike which includes various habitats but there is too much time spent on paved surfaces. Staying on the Ice Age Trail instead of remaining on County K for so long makes for a longer but more interesting hike. Trail is very well marked with numerous benches dispersed along trail for taking breaks. Decent number of creeks and wetlands for dogs to stay hydrated.

A well maintained, wide, flat, smooth trail for biking or walking. The description above is inaccurate, however. The trail is 52 miles long, flat and EASY (it's a former rail corridor, with never more than 3% grade.). We hiked this trail with 15 women from adventuremamas and Wisconsin women trial adventures beginning of spring, it took us 8.5hrs with bathroom breaks and lunch, we went anti-clockwise and planned to hike 3 miles an hour, it's a beautiful challenging hike, be prepared and have fun when you decide to do it, we all parked at the state park. We got lucky with the weather it was 40 degrees and cloudy all the way if you plan to go in the summer start at the sunrise time.

Peaceful

Beautiful. Not that hard pretty easy. Good for the whole family. I saw an older woman with a can walking it. I should say there is a part that has a small walking path next to a cliff not that bad though, there’s enough room that it’s not really bad plus it’s short. (:

The under 2-mile purple loop is relaxing and easy. Lots of benches along the way.
