Loved it!

Loved the hike. Beautiful views all hike and great trail conditions. Only issue was a few people had dogs off leashes but it didn’t take away from the hike. Will definitely be going back!

So beautiful! Easy for anybody to do and I loved all the sweet dogs on the trail. Came here on a beautiful day with perfect weather and was rejuvenated afterwards :) nice gem close to my place in Littleton, 20 mins away.

Love this trail and the surrounding trails.

Brought poles and yak tracks, were very grateful to have them.

Amazing views, great trek. Lake today was frozen, the snow was piled high but the trail itself was packed in most areas.

4/21/18 Drop dead gorgeous views at every step! It has moderate steepness but the rewarding views are worth it! Definitely need microspikes! Some spots were a bit slippery/on edge!

A few friends and I hiked this trail about 2 weeks ago right after it snowed about 3 feet. It was the most beautiful and breathtaking hike I’ve ever done.

A bit muddy, but otherwise clear. Make sure to do spouting rock above the lake.

Snowing on our hike. Trees looked beautiful. Mild moderate rating. Lots of rocks on the trail. Spikes unnecessary. Serene environment. Only one other hiker on a Saturday.

Fabulous hike. Go early to avoid the tourists in flip flops.

Hiking in the snow! Great scenery along the way! Many folks had skis or snow shoes, but I was just fine with crampons and poles. I had a really hard time with the lungs of flatlander, but you feel awesome when you come off that last ridge.

You enter this trail from the other side of South Valley Park Trai. Absolutely beautiful and enjoyable. Quick hike/run was perfect for snowy morning.

This was my first hiking experience in Colorado and I’ll never forget it. There are several scenic places along the trail that would each be worthy destinations. The last of the lakes on the trail, Emerald Lake, is a generous reward for a moderate half-day hike.

What an amazing view at the top! This is a great hike to take visitors to. It's not too long, not too hard, and such an amazing payoff at the end!

As always, start early!

Beautiful destination! Hanging Lake is stunning as is Spouting Rock just above it! Definitely worth the trip! I would probably rate this trail as on the hard end of moderate. You're gaining 1000ft of elevation over the course of a mile. If you're new to hiking it's going to be a tough trail but if you're more avid, it's not terribly difficult. Beginners should take it slow, bring lots of water, and be prepared for essentially climbing a miles worth of stairs (also some heights exposure right before the lake). I'd recommend at least some level of fitness before tackling this trail as there aren't many flat areas and it can be narrow in places. Parking lot can hold about 40ish cars and I've heard can be insane during busy times so go early or during an off-time/season! It's not just an easy on-ramp/off-ramp and there's no circling around the lot waiting so parking could be really annoying when busy. There is a nice biking/walking trail one might consider if they're more fit and not wanting to deal with the trail-head parking lot!

Extremely popular trail. We started at 6:30 in the morning and didn't have to share Emerald Lake with too many people, so going early will earn you a little more serenity. It's gorgeous all the way there.

Great trail! Great views the whole way with a really good cardio workout. A lot of incline trails the whole way up so be prepared !

Hiked this on a Monday, 4/16 ~0930. Only shared the trail with 1 other couple but the lot was filled by the time we left. Microspikes absolutely needed, gorgeous hike! Can be difficult to find the trail at first, just take a left at the huge boulder after Nymph

We hiked this with 4 kids aged 5 through 9. We made many stops along the way but was delightfully enjoyed by all. We were there in July, the trail was crowded but less so as we passed the first two lakes. We swam in the lake, it was wicked cold, and then basked in sun on the large rocks to dry off. Great times by all.

great hike. Saw some deer. Cool ruins. Hikers, horses and mountain bikes

Hiked this 3/17. Little Challenging but the views are incredible and completely worth it.

I hiked this trail a few days ago. it was very scenic and easier then I thought. A very good trail for beginners.

Love this entire park!

It was easier than I expected, these is a great place for beginners, trail is clear and accessable, bring layers of you get there early in the morning before 7-8.

Pretty steep if you're not used to the elevation, but otherwise not a terribly strenuous hike. Bottom to top in under an hour should be easy. Went up 4/15 and there was a small amount of mud and no snow left on the trail. Parking lot was half full at 9, completely packed at 10:30. Sounds like a shuttle system will be put in in May, so get your hiking in before the busy season.

A beautiful hike that the two boys (age 8 & 10) we were hiking with loved. The trail winds around rock formations with beautiful views that make you quickly forget you just parked in a populated subdivision. We arrived at 10:30 and the boys were in heaven scrambling up and down little detours on the trail.

However our walk back in the early afternoon gave us all the fright of our lives from encounters with two rattlesnakes. One we were tipped off by a couple hiking just in front of us and the other started to rattle as we apparently had all just walked by him. There was no veering off trail on our way back and we really wished we had started earlier before they came out to bathe in the heat of the day or chose a colder day in general. Definitely keep this in mind. But the hike itself was pretty spectacular.

Great workout and views on this hike. Not super crowded despite the parking lot overflowing. I would definitely do it again.

Absolutely breathtaking!! Did this hike May of 2017. You won’t be disappointed when you get to the top and the views along the way are awesome. Go early as parking is at a shortage.

Love this area! Packed snow the whole way to Lost Lake, spikes or snowshoes are not necessary but I did see a few folks with them on. The dirt road leading up the fork for Hessie TH and 4th of July was closed. So be sure to get here early as parking (which in general is tough usually) will have to be on the side of the road in Eldora until the dirt road reopens. Very peaceful hike and I had the lake all to myself (started the hike around 8:30am). I will definitely be back in the summer!
