Great little trail... and nice, scenic drive to get there.

We did this hike and loved it!!! You do not have to be an experienced hiker to complete this hike, but at the same time, this hike is not for the feint hearted, there are plenty of places where the trail gets narrow to one pass at a time. If you take your time and have good hiking boots, no problem.
I would not do this hike with little kids and flip flops. The hike opens (and closes) with a two series of steep switchbacks, after that it levels out as it goes out to the point.
Once at the point, you see that all the effort was worth it. The views are amazing and if you go out to the rocks on the point you get about a 300 degree view of the canyon in all of its splendor. You feel like it is surrounding you.
The return hike is tough, but plenty of places to rest and enough water will get you through it

Neat trail at a neat National Monument. Lots of petroglyphs to look at. Easy walk in sand and no shade.

such a fun hike with great views of the mountain landscape. I would highly recommend.

Started the hike around 5pm knowing the sun was setting a bit before 6pm and saw only 2 other people on the trail. Beautiful and short hike (even with ~10 minutes at ooh ah point it took us under an hour moving fairly quickly) and was a great introduction to the canyon. However, it was very cold - especially after we stopped moving and were waiting for the bus. Great, manageable switchbacks and well-maintained trail.

Great views and still a good challenge.

Took off 1 star for no trash cans on trail equals litter & alot of trails were closed.

We tried to ride through today on our motorcycles but it's closed from July 6th to February 15th and then it's only open to vehicles the second half of the month

A multitude of trails makes reliance on gps a good idea out and back. I’ve gone clockwise, and counter clockwise, and the latter is a bit steeper. Can be windy at the top. And wonderful views!

Amazing hike! It took close to 3 hours, but I made a lot of stops to take pictures. Take some time to relax and enjoy the view at cedar ridge. It’s not a difficult hike if you’re into hiking. The last bit can be a bit tiring if you’re not accustomed to hiking since it’s steep! Beautiful hike. I had one day in Grand Canyon and hats the one I chose to do, and I’m happy with my selection :)

Great easy trail with lots of petroglyphs. Took my dog with me, and she enjoyed it. Make sure to take water. Unfortunately, there is a lot of vandalism and fake petroglyphs. Some are obvious, but some are harder to tell if they are fake or real. I played it safe by only taking pictures of ones I knew were real because they were in the brochure!

Looking forward to going back with some friends and family.

Used to do this hike as a kid growing up in Los Alamos. Recently went back and it was just as awesome! Would recommend for an easy hike with fun sites

Nice scenic trail, end of Oct ,30s low- 65 to 75 highs, no dogs allowed, amazing history of Cliff Dwellings

Awesome opening hike.

Nice lil trek. Super easy and the vastness of your view from horizon to horizon just really reminds you of how small we are on the planet. I liked the sound of only the wind in my ears.

I liked this trail. Even my mother hiked it with me. Great little loop and the blue hues of the mesa were fun to take pics of and edit the color later on my camera.

Nice views of the rocks, but you can still see the road while on a lot of the marked portion of the trail. However, there are opportunities to go off the beaten path, which is always a plus to me.

The best part of this hike was seeing a tarantula crossing the path. The petroglyphs we're interesting, but I didn't realize they were all drawn sporadically on boulders.

very unique hike. loved the landscape with all the petrified trees.

Nice Trail. Flat trails. Liked the petroglyphs. Saw a chipmunk.

Easy trail took 40 mins had to pay close attention just to notice petroglyphs

Pretty easy trail some wildlife

Beautiful hike with beautiful views! Took us a little over two hours round trip, with a lunch break at the bottom. Easy going down, so don't let that fool you. Coming up will have your heart pumping and your thighs burning!

Loved this! Lots of ladders to climb.

Quite fun!

Relatively easy hike. Climbed down a few rocks to get to a more secluded spot, but there are some great spots out on the ledge to sit and have lunch, very peaceful with nice views.

One of my favorite trails in the park! Hiked it multiple times while at the canyon. Please please if you pan to do it bring water! There is NO water access on this trail. Bring at least a liter per person, more if it’s during the summer. Beautiful views and once you get to the ridge it opens up and you can see all around the canyon. Difficult but doable if you take your time. Wear proper footwear, I don’t recommend sandals.

The parking lot was well kept, no pay station. Trail head was well marked along with the trail. This mornings weather was cast over which was very beneficial cause the Petroglyphs were easy to spot. Can't wait to return to run this trail.
