I'm not sure we got to experience the whole thing, due to some 'police line - do not cross' tape near the bridge. Nice walk otherwise.

great hike with some good views

10.7 miles? Maybe around 16 according to mile marker signs

It's a beautiful park and almost never ending. Beautiful spots for photograpy and a playground opportunity or 2. The 'waterfall' here isn't really a waterfall, rather it's water running over some slippery rocks. But it is still gorgeous. If you chose to go on the rocks, be careful. It does pull and you'll probably lose your footing. It is VERY slick. I highly recommend this hike. There is also more than one loop, so read the map beforehand if youo want to see the water feature.

The part that we got to walk was beautiful. Construction stopped us very close to the beginning. It's very unclear where you are as the one map down the trail doesn't inform you exactly where you are. It would've been so lovely. 8/9/18.

We enjoyed this little mini adventure. Took us about 45 minutes to slow wander around the perimeter trail. Despite huge rains the days before, the trails were still maintained. My dog seemed at peace and the whole time we only saw about ten people total. Easy to get to for a quick retreat outside of Atlanta.

Very easy, well maintained, and well marked (much better than last year). It's virtually flat the entire way and it is NOT 6.7 miles... My wife and I both tracked on GPS, and we were on the marked trail the entire time. It's between 5.6 and 5.8 miles. However, there is an outer loop intended for bikes that could be used to make this longer if desired. The signs say it's 12 miles but they are wrong about the inner loop too.

We averaged 19-20 minutes per mile walking all the way around the lake. There's nothing making this trail moderately difficult.

Update: looks like they fixed the description!

long and hard for me that's what she said

Trail was enjoyable. Not to busy with people but enough to feel safe. Trail had a pleasant view of the river at times and could be done by all ages.

Nice walk in the woods near river.

Good for a nice easy hike with pretty views along the way

I liked the trail but it was NOT easy to follow at all. The map signs are missing at several forks and intersections in the trail so I was lost for quite a while. There are also a lot of areas that look like part of the trail but are not. Other than that the trail itself is fun and easy with a few moderate climbs depending on your skill level. Enjoyed walking by the river and spotted some deer!

Discovered this trail for the first time awesome!!

Very nice , mostly wooded with Great Lake views.

I like to do this one every other week. For me it’s not very difficult, but, for a first time hiker, I can imagine that it would be a little more difficult. Very nice beautiful views, and, not usually too busy during the week. Not terribly far from Atlanta, and is worth the drive. Weekends, it’s always crowded, but, don’t let that deter you, this is definitely one worth going to.

Nice trail

My calves were killing me going up

This is my go to place to hike and I love it have been coming here for years there’s different options you can take which range from easier to more difficult. If I had to complain about anything it would be from people leaving trash on the trails why can’t people just pick up after themselves. The visitor center is also worth a look at some good history there.

Best trail at Kennesaw Mtn!! Lots of gain in altitude over the 1.8 miles from the parking lot on Burnt Hickory to the top of Kennesaw Mtn. My family and I love the trail due to the natural terrain, which means there are parts not well marked so you need to pay attention.

Some of the trail wasn’t super defined and it could be hard to follow. Went for the bridge but there is hardly anything left to see. It was nice to walk along to river though and aside from confusion on where to go it was a fairly easy trail.

I think this is a super fun loop. It's like a rollercoaster crossed with Return of the Jedi, trees can be tight in some sections significant wildlife rideable up until 10 p.m. Bring bright lights. Monster Mile is a must it's a great technical side loop.

awesome bike trails

great trail system

Beautiful place! Quiet and not too difficult. It does go up hill a lot, though!

Not a hard hike. Good view of town from the top and the vantage point. A lot of history here. I'd say it's easy to moderate.

Good trail through the trees with steep incline and city views. You can also opt for the road all the way up - great views over park area and city; has more of a gradual incline. Two or three points from the road where you can connect onto the nature trail. Stays consistently busy - “lightly moderate”, depending on the time.

Great trail, hirstorical markers and great views. Got my geeky history fix as well as a great hike.

nice history and view

This trail is 10 minutes from me and I take my husky here for exercise 2-3 times a week. Well kept, nice scenery, and plenty of rest areas if needed.
