Beautiful hike but definitely not as easy as some say, it took me about a hour to get to the top, or it felt like it. It was also a lot harder because my almost 30 lb 2 year old decided she was done walking maybe .1 mile in

Did this Dec 9. The vehicle access road to the trailhead parking lot closes for the winter on Dec. 1 so the hike up the road to the trailhead adds 4.5 miles round trip, making this a 12 mile hike. The log crossing was easy as there is a log handrail next to one of the main crossing logs, so even though it’s icy, you can easily hang on and feel safe as long as the water level is low. Could have used yak tracks in a few icy spots but no need for snowshoes right now. Pretty views of Hood and the falls are beautifully iced over in parts. Almost no one out today due to the weather.

Amazing walk to see a variety of waterfalls, with multiple ones being able to walk behind (you do get a little wet). The walk itself is pretty easy and trail is super easy to follow. The cost into the park is now $5 but it’s definitely worth it

A quick hike close to Sweet Home. We went today (12-3-2018) and the trail is clear with the exception of one tree that looks to have been down for a while. It’s not hard to climb over but be aware that there is no way around it. The bridges were slippery but that happens when everything freezes! The falls were gorgeous and my kids love peeking behind the trees for fairy houses. There was a minimal amount of mud.

The view is the best part once you get to the falls

One the best hikes in Corvallis, good workout for a Sunday afternoon

The parking fee is 5 dollars now, but still worth it!

It was a great trail. Not too hard and a great length. How ever, I believe the 6.9 mi. that this app says is wrong. My garmin watch said it was close to 9 miles. Went late November and hiked through some snow! Slippery but just be cautious. And crossing the river is fairly easy. Enjoy!

great view.

Went this last Sunday, it was raining and I came out muddy and wet but all worth it! I drive 2 wheel Hondai Tucson and took the road down as far as I felt comfortable then walked. Felt good about my stopping point. The last mile of the road is larger rocks and comfortable in a higher clearance Subaru but I didn’t want to chance it. The Hike is great once you get to the trail head. Stayed Left, very steep but ropes right where you needed them. Loved walking along the river, glad I had boots, lots of rocks to get they but the Waterfall is mind blowing!

Road to the trail is kinda hectic. alot of pot holes and big sharp rocks. asides from that I made it down to the gate in my honda crv. If u make it all the way to the end of the road the hike goes from 5.3 down to like 1 1/2 miles from the gate. stay to the left when u hike down the trail. STAY TO THE LEFT! if u don't want to climb down a cliff.

Awesome, relaxed hike. Crossing the river wasn't too bad - it definitely looks scarier than it is. We went the first weekend of November and there was no issue, but I'm not sure how high the water is now that it's rained recently.

Fun relatively easy hike! Be prepared to walk on a log to cross the river! Super pretty and pretty empty trail!

11/18/18. Relatively easy hike, mostly flat, well-defined trail. Beautiful views of Mt. Hood when the forest opens up a bit. Ramona falls was an awesome way to cap off the hike.

Great hike! I didn't do the entire loop though. I took the Canyon Trail and cut across on the Winter Trail and then took the Rim Trail back. (to do the 7 mile loop, you do the Canyon and Rim trails). The way I did it was a 5 mile loop and I saw 8 of the 10 waterfalls. So even if you cut it short, you'll still see them!

I went in November and the fog hung in the air even into the afternoon, making for awesome pictures and a more somber/peaceful experience. Go on a weekday to avoid crowds, and start in the morning if you can. In the fall, definitely bring warm clothes and hats, mittens, etc!

The trail is rated as moderate, but with the slight elevation gain (other online sources say only 800 feet), I'd rate it as easy. There are steep sections, especially one place going down to Lower South Falls, but there are stairs and handrails here.

Parking is $2.00 for an all day pass. Totally worth it!

I loved this hike and recommend it to families with slightly older kids. As well as anyone who likes to hike but isn't looking to overexert themselves.

Great place. Amazing weather for Mid-November. Simple but so beautiful.

When you start the trail you will have a quick choice. To the left, trail meanders up hill and around, to the right straight up the stairs. Serious stairs, so unless your in descent shape, go the other way and come down them.

Great trail. Beautiful all the way.

Easy, great views without much effort. It is a busy spot.

This was a beautiful and easy hike. Mostly flat hike with some moderate up hill areas. The river is easy to get across on the logs, but could be hard with pets or small children. There are a few beautiful views of Mount Hood, especially near the river you have to cross. Ramona Falls was even bigger than I expected, it’s definitely worth the hike! The area around Ramona Falls is roped off for vegetation regrowth, so please obey the signs and don’t pass over the rope.

Absolutely breathtaking views and amazing perspective of the falls. A lot of falls have walkways behind the falls. Definitely one of my favorite hikes of all time!

Absolutely beautiful. I went with my husband & daughter in the summer. Be sure to take plenty of water. I'm going again with a friend in October. should be pretty in Fall. Highly recommend it.

Difficult road to travers to the actual trail head unless you have an all wheel drive vehicle. We walked the road to the TH and the trail itself is not long but steep and appearing not formerly maintained. The hike is sleek with rock and covered in fallen leaves making it difficult to traverse in many areas. The pay off is well worth the jaunt with a beautiful falls. The drive to this falls is also splendid.

I really love hiking this Trail. It is rated moderate, but I think it is fairly easy. The view at the top is well worth the hike!!!!!

Very easy long hike with a beautiful bridge and view at the halfway point. Cool mine town place also. long drive to get there though from salem area.

Basically, the right side is a trail and the left is a road. Look up some good directions online. Get there early. The rock slide isn't marked so you have to watch for it.

I was in town for the Ducks/UCLA game on November 3. It was sort of a homecoming- I was a law student at UO in the late ‘80, and remember being introduced to hiking the many beautiful trails around Eugene. I really looked forward to seeing some old friends and I promised I must return to some of these hiking trails on this trip. As was expected, there was an off-and-on gentle drizzle which didn’t seem to bother my fellow hikers on this crisp late Saturday morning. The hike was moderately strenuous but very worth it as the views of the Willamette Valley from the summit was a deserved treat. I wished I had more time to hike than the hour I spent on the trail since I had to head back into town for the game. I look forward to another trip to Eugene and hopefully spend more enjoyable time hiking its beautiful trials. By the way,the Ducks won.

very good place! The stairs were a lot for me but made it through
