Not bad, good for a short hike and time in nature. Good for families and dogs. Pretty busy on a Saturday, by the time my group left at 11am the parking lot was packed and many people heading out to the trails. I liked this and would be a good hike for my small dog.

on Red Rocks Trail

Added it on to the Mt. Sanitas loop to make the hike longer (4 1/2 total). Nice way to start. Parking lot had plenty of space at 8 am.

Great hike for families. Took our 5 year old and 1.5 year old (in carrier) up this trail and they loved it. Going up McClintock Upper is definitely the more challenging direction for this loop as it's pretty good incline until you reach the Enchanted Mesa trail junction. A few good views, but it's really a nice stroll through the forest and across the Enchanted Mesa. Many trail runners and people walking dogs.

Really unique rock formations. Coyote song is an easy trail, some inclines but nothing crazy. If you take the Lyons Back trail towards columbine trail it gets pretty steep. You can also go off path a lil and climb up to the ridge. Views were awesome, would not recommend the ridge climb to kids or anyone unsure of physical ability. Def go again, quick drive from Denver.

unfortunately it was really foggy early the morning I went, but great easy trail

Nice trail for a leisurely stroll. Super short but beautiful at the top. Great for a short morning walk. Kid-friendly!

Nice short hike, we went up the rocks to get to the top and hiked around the rocks for a while. Perfect for pictures! The rocks are gorgeous. Nice hike for being so close to town. Surprisingly, we only ran in to one person while we hiked the whole time. Good workout! Not for elderly or overweight for sure!

Nice and relatively easy, with great views and dog accessible.

Yeah it's a little crowded, but Lair o' the Bear in general is. You don't go there for secluded walks, but more of a meander-with-kids-or-dogs type easy hike. Great for kids as they get the fun of climbing the 'bluff' and can play around in the creek after. We've been to LofB half a dozen times, and this is the first time we've ever formally followed a trail instead of just playing around. Really nice, would do this one again.

Best View! Not at all tiring, the place motivates to hike more! pleasant surprises at every nook and corner!❤

Pretty hike but in no way easy. To my mind "Easy" would mean I can take Grandma and Grandpa for a walk in the woods with the kiddies. This is "Easy" relative to climbing a fourteener, but it's steep and I was concerned my shoes (trail runners with tread) would hold on the rocky inclines and declines with the loose scattered rocks. As to being strenuous yes, it was a pretty good little 30 minute workout, I would liken parts of it to going up about four flights of stairs before leveling out. If you're out of shape or over weight, or elderly this is probably not a good choice. But it is surprisingly wooded for being so close to town. .

Great hike. Some steep parts, but overall pretty easy!

Shaded soft trail is great for running. Lots of lovely sounds from the creek and wildlife. Dog loved wading in the water.

Nice easy hike. Somewhat busy but it was a Saturday morning. Would be a great easy trail for running!

Beautiful easy hike with views, although Boy Scout trail DOES NOT allow dogs!!!

Beautiful easy hike

smelly nasty lake with blue green algee and dead fish. go to McKay instead.

Had fun, very dog friendly. Would recommend a day that's not too hot.

This was the most disgusting lake (if you can even call it the) I’ve ever been to. It’s more like a sespool of algae and nasty ness. Smelt like we were in a porta potty. They should fill this in. I hope they don’t get their drinking water from here.

More of a outdoor walk than hike but really pretty. Definitely go on a cool or overcast day as there is no shade. I also recommend not taking a stroller or bikes for small kids.

Beautiful views throughout the walk. Quiet and peaceful.

So beautiful and has a variety of inclines and declines which could be challenging. Definitely a work out and a beautiful sight. My favorite so far.

Wonderful hike. A little steeper then we anticipated but my 5 year old rocked it.

Not bad. Some nice views of the hills and trees. Weaving out of shade and sun and some switchbacks with elevation gain. Very short hike of about 1-2 mi and a photo opp at a pile of rocks (bruins bluff?). Fun for kids and dogs by the creek jumping rocks. Fairly crowded for a CO hike but nothing compared to the crowds found in Silicon Valley trails.

Nice little hike, very close to the city. A little elevation gain makes it a good workout. The views are nice but mostly I liked the trail which weaves in and out of trees. Would definitely do again when I'm looking for a short walk.

Beautiful views in all directions! Gentle slope, not to tough of an incline. Love this trail!

This hike has beautiful rock formations and an easy to follow trail for my kiddos from the east coast. There were lots of dogs on the trail which was a bonus for us. Beautiful wildflowers and plants to look at. It was very hot with very little shade but there were bathrooms and water fountains at the beginning and end of the trail. I’d definitely recommend it for a short hike.

If you are looking for a more strenuous hike go up the Mcklintock side and come down the Enchanted Mesa side. For a more relaxed hike go up enchanted and down mcklintock.
Either way a great hike!

Great place to take out of town visitors. It is both easily accessible locationwise as well as accessible difficultywise.

Pretty views, but part was much steaper than we realized. If you are not acclimated to the altitude this trail is not easy for parts.
