Didn’t make it to the falls, vehicle was not sufficiently equipped for snow. The road leading to the falls is paved and narrow, and currently has a decent layer of ice and snow. Vehicles without snow tires or chains should proceed with extreme caution.

Very interesting how the water flows out of the rocks.

Good workout with hills but overall it’s not too difficult

Good easy to little moderate hike with view of river and waterfalls. Waterfall was gushing with water. Enjoyed soaking in mist water at upper Lookout view point.

Nice hike with a great view of the falls. Trails were muddy 2/3 in, but worth the walk. Pup enjoyed too.

We drove around where it was supposed to be, but did not see any signs :-( ended up hiking a small portion of the PCT instead. Clearer signage would definitely be helpful.

Gorgeous falls with very little effort to see from the viewing deck. Google maps directions were accurate to the trail/parking. It was nice the road was paved the whole way. There's spray painted words and arrows on the road pointing to the trail. Also be sure to look up when on the road, as there's a small sign nailed to a tree above the trail with "Trail no. 137" on it.

Easy family snowshoeing trail with good view.

The snow is hard packed out to the falls which are iced over and beautiful.

Awesome hike. Falls are spectacular. Especially views of falls from different locations on the path. Don't pass the short side trips off trail to see falls

Enjoyed this trail back on October 20, 2018 beautiful views of Mt. Rainier..very popular trail for tourist. Great picture opportunities. Parking and Bathroom facilities.

Busy trail on a Sunday, but the views of the river and falls were well worth it.

on Twin Falls Trail

A good 3.7 mile hike round trip to the Twin and Upper Falls. The trail is well maintained and its a good workout as the trail is inclined for the most part. Be prepared for a number of steps. Good resting spots and a nice bridge to view the falls. I rated the trail 4* since there wasn’t anything too scenic or breathtaking sceneries at the end of the trail or on the way. Good workout and a refreshing break if you are looking for a quick drive from Seattle.

beautiful, just very busy trail!

Great views of the falls but I did not do the entire trail because it was closed. This was one of 3 waterfalls I was visiting so I was not too disappointed that it wasn’t much of a “hike”. I was treated with gorgeous views of a rainbow over the waterfall. I assume on any sunny day this occurs. As others have mentioned it is difficult to find. You will park at a gravel parking lot right off the road on the right and then you will need to cross the road by foot to find the trail head right off the edge of the road.

Here is a video from my day where I visited panther creek falls, lower creek falls, and spirit falls - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KasE9uJGAOA&t=630s

Travelers info:

Forest Pass: YES
Parking fee: no but forest Pass needed
Driving: about 2 hours from Portland, potholes on the road up to panther.

Too hard and far to drive to there.

Very pretty, easy hike. It's great for a fall/winter hike when the skies aren't as clear. Can't believe how many big and small falls there are.

Took a hike in the rain and I’m glad I did! We parked close to the ranger house and you can take a peak at the river before you start your hike. The trail is easy to follow and there is a fork but don’t worry, both of the paths will take you to the fall viewing area. Bathroom by the falls Incase you feel the urge to go.

Such a gorgeous hike! One of my favorites

Very peaceful walk, hearing the sound of the river on the way out and a drop over a ridgeline into the quiet zone the way back. With the campgrounds closed and early start we were the only ones on the trail until we got back to the start. The falls make for a worthwhile destination. I look forward to coming back to see spring run off.

Extra cotton.

Nice hike to the falls from Paradise parking lot. It’s definitely a workout for the hammies but wouldn’t have it any other way.
