Amazing. A must see!

It was my first time in years sense I’ve been there. It was even more beautiful than I remember. It was my three dogs and myself that went. Found some pretty cool areas just around the falls as well. :)

nice, easy hike in. no snow but a few spots of minor mud but ends with breathtaking view of the falls.

Nice trail with beautiful moss covered boulders. Wildflowers are just starting to bloom. Pearsoney falls is gorgeous and accessible.

Hiked this tons. Always a favorite. Last time I came it was closed. It must be reopened now. I was shown a cave off this trail a few summers ago, don’t know if I could find it again. Love the bridge at the entrance. Nothing beats North Umpqua hiking!

Hiked this with my mom on Mother’s Day. Great for kids and old people. Very pretty wild flowers along the way. It was great seeing families out as well. Got lucky and got a parking spot as someone was leaving.

Took my daughter, son in law, and grandkids on this hike April 2018. Temperatures were low 30’s so the mist coming off of this raging giant was turning to snow! The very short uphill hike ends up at a huge 100’ waterfall that you can actually walk behind to reveal a cave. Clinging to the ceiling of the cave hung sleeping bats. Recommend bringing a light raincoat during winter months since the mist coming off of this waterfall is intense!!

After you reach the bridge continue on for a short distance and up a pile of rocks/small boulders to a beautiful view right at the base of the falls. It was so icy (beg of Apr) be very careful!!!

The moss! Amazing power from that water falling. Smooth walk, not too much traffic, a little snow (March) but not cold. Can lower to base with ropes. Great for kids and dogs.

The pool! Can climb down with rope. Stairs super well maintained. About 100 steps up and the same down. Clean, bathroom setting at trailhead. Went in March, no snow, not cold: just perfect weather. Tons of water.

Great hike! we went Wednesday 3/28/18 & it was absolutely beautiful!

First time on this trail. Some ups and downs but not bad. Little muddy in a few spots. Nice photo op. Well worth the trip.

Great trail! unfortunately went in August so the falls was just a trickle. So if you're hiking for the falls, you'll be disappointed! They are very small in comparison to the beauties further north on Hwy. 138!

Haven't been yet...I've researched this trail and it is impassible due to the fire that caused washout a couple of years ago. With that said, I believe the only way to reach this falls now is via the Stuart falls trail off of the PCT near Crater Lake which makes it a very long hike!

Great hike!

Great for kiddos...my Love proposed here!

Took my lil guy on this hike which made that incline quite the challenge. But the scenery and trail were amazing had a lot of fun.

Good Hike, river is basically by your side the entire trail. Beautiful views and pictures, was still icy when hiked it. Quite a few rocks on the trail, but nothing to difficult, besides incline on mud.

Good trail out and back. Small amount of snow right now but so pretty did not need any snow gear. Beautiful!

This is a nice, easy to hike area.

You can get a nice view of the waterfall but, in my opinion, the area with the boulders is much nicer. The boulders are giant and you get great views of the rapids.

I don’t think the area is marked very well, and signage could use some help, but it’s not a massive area so you should be able to find your way around.

Nothing like relaxing in the middle of so much beauty only nature can give!

Nice, wooded trail that winds through wet bottom area with reasonably gentle incline toward the Fall. Much insect life to observe such as a myriad of butterflies and very large, black beetles. This is a great trail for curious, little kids! Trail is maintained well by the park and appears to be weathering constant use. It is not a lightly-trafficked trail. The Fall attracts plenty of visitors, and rightly so. Large and refreshing in late summer, it's a beautiful jewel in the Crater Lake crown.

Loved this trail. There’s definitely one hill that will get your heart pumping, but, the rest of the hike was mild and enjoyable. The trail is well maintained and followed the creek all the way to the falls. We really enjoyed the beauty of the forest and the waterfalls. Great way to spend an afternoon!

Great quick and easy hike to a beautiful waterfall. Stopped on the way to Crater Lake and it was totally worth it. Check out video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcRCOVhdvhI

Heavily trafficked trail. Family friendly and pet friendly. Well marked and easy to find. If you make the drive all this way, I recommend visiting some of the other waterfalls along Hwy 138. Clearwater Falls and Whitehorse Falls are along side the road and do not require any hiking to see them. Watson Falls (the 3rd tallest waterfall in Oregon) is about 2-3 miles round trip. Umpqua Hot Springs is also proximal, but be prepared for nudity if you decide to stop by.

It’s a long drive from Roseburg to the trail head, but it’s well worth it. This short hike allows you to walk up to, and behind, Grotto Falls. If you make the drive all the way out to this waterfall, you might as well visit some of the other waterfalls on Little River Road. You will pass Wolf Creek Falls on your way out here. Yakso Falls and Hemlock Falls are further up Little River Road, if you continue past Road 2703 (which takes you to Grotto Falls).

This waterfall is most impressive during Winter and Spring. During Summer and Fall months , Grotto Falls is merely a trickle instead of a roaring waterfall (but it’s still a pleasant hike nonetheless).

Pretty spot and we hiked up to the top of the falls too!
