Nice short hike to the falls. Trail is shadded well and not super rocky but it gets over crowded real quick, so go early to avoid the crowd and to have the falls all to your self.

a fun and easy trail

Short and easy hike. The only tough part was climbing the rocks to get a better view of the falls at the top. Saw a moose (!!!!) and tons of chipmunks along the way. I went on a Sunday around 11am and it was pretty crowded, but there were still plenty of parking spots on big cottonwood canyon road. From there I walked the .75ish miles on the paved road (FR019) to the trailhead.

This is an awesome trail for a quick hike.

Anyone giving this a bad review probably just has a bad attitude.

The falls are beautiful, and there are some great views.

Sunday afternoon was a great time to do this. I only ran into a few people.

We started our hike at 8:15 this morning and didn't see many people. Tip: you can park at the trailhead though this app directs you to park along the Big Cottonwood Canyon road. If you go early there will be spaces; otherwise walk a mile to the trailhead. Bold ground squirrels were entertaining.

Very nice hike. The views are incredible. And to have the stream right along the trail was awesome! Will definitely do this hike again

great all around hike not to difficult unless you want to climb up to get a closer look at the falls.

good short hike and very nice falls.

beautiful hike all the way through and the prize at the end the waterfall perfect.

did this hike today. very steep in places very beautiful wooded hike with the sound of the river always near and the falls at the end was amazing. well worth the hike.

Fun & easy hike. We parked near the main road & had to walk in on the paved road, but it was still fairly easy. You can try driving all the way to the trailhead to see if you can get a parking spot - be careful not to park in a marked spot that says no parking at any time or you’ll be ticketed (even on Sundays)
My two year old hiked all the way in with the exception of a couple rocky spots. Come willing to get a little wet & you’ll have a good time.
We hiked up to the top where you can see the actual “donut fall”. Brings lots of water & maybe even some snacks.

I agree with Chris, this is more of a moderate trail. By the end my friend and I were very sore. The pain was well worth seeing the falls. Take lots of water!

great hike with great views!! made for a nice escape from the smokey valley too. there is one spot that was a bit sketchy, but our dog did it no problem. you basically climb up some trees roots hanging over the trail. the falls were so cold, so I don't recommend standing under them. ;) and the flowers were beautiful too!!! I'd definitely do this one again.

Great trail for kids. The last little way up to the actual falls is a bit of a scramble but a fun challenge for the kids. We even ran into a few moose on the trails.

I love this hike. Be prepared to wait in certain areas because it’s always busy and with lots of little children. It’s great to see their happy faces but it can be dangerous. Always keep an eye on your children.

fun destination hike with a great payoff. falls were amazing. most of the trail is fairly ez, but there are a couple of steep sections.
took the whole family, my 9 year old struggled just a bit.
took 2 hours.
GPS had it at 4.3 miles.

Great trail. It's well covered and stays pretty cool. The slightly steeper parts are well staggered, good exercise but not too difficult. Very beautiful location.

Short. Easy with kids. Beautiful.

We arrived at 9am on a Tuesday and there were 4 cars in the lot. After a very pleasant 2 mile hike we arrived at the springs and had them to ourselves for 45 minutes. That is all the time we needed due to persistent horse flies. The lowest pool felt like a 92f hot tub. It was most splendid and strange to have a hot waterfall jet falling on my back. The hike in and out is very nice due to the flowing stream. We were all very glad we took this amazing hike.

Great trail. Easy and fun! Go early, trail gets busy as the day goes on but we had the springs to ourselves before noon. Stop at the first pool you see! It has a mini waterfall and it’s the best of the pools. Once it’s filled, you won’t be getting in. Bring water shoes and bug spray! Horseflies are bad! Great natural hot springs, it’s a sight to see!

Thanks our first nature hike in Utah. It was great for the kids. Some river crossings and pretty forest to walk through. The last part after the bridge was a little tough for our 3 year old (some boulders to climb up and down), so we skipped the actual falls and just played in the water by the bridge.

loved the water

trail running

This is my favorite hike of the season. I’ve done Cecret Lake, Big Baldy, Silver Lake and Battle Creek Falls. I’d give it a 5* if it wasn’t for the amateurs hiking on the trail. If you see a trail runner, move over and let them pass. Falls were refreshing and great to cool off under before I headed back down.

Beautiful hike! Everything was green and lush on the trail. Lots of people coming down from seeing the sunrise on Timp but the trail wasn't too crowded. When we got to the falls there was only one other small group there so we got some peace and quiet and cooled off next to the water. Our little dog loved it too! Good hike for families and people of all ages!

Nice easy hike for the grandchildren (and for me). Recommend avoiding weekend if possible, very crowded and parking was a mess. Otherwise a delightful hike.

Long but easy hike into the springs. Definitely worth the trip. The springs are beautiful and relaxing. Take bug spray!! Horse flies were the size of my fiancé and not as nice :)

The springs are varying in temperature. The bottom spring, the first “pool” you come to is like a nice hot tub temperature. The further up the path you go the hotter they get. Too hot to stay in.

All in all worth the trip!

Fairly gentle hike with a fantastic reward awaiting at the end. Beautiful small waterfall. Very nice hike. Perfect late day trip.

Fun but packed in the summer. The trick is to go in the fall or early winter. Snow scares the crowds away.

Fun easy hike. Get there early for parking and nice weather! 10/10 would go again. Went w/ a 9 year old and he loved it.
