Water Hikes Map

short, easy,pleasant views

A little muddy at the beginning. Lots of options on which direction you want to go , I wouldn’t say easy because I think it would be difficult for some children it can get steep. Very beautiful views although windy so dress appropriately.

Really fun hike! You get a little of everything - rolling hills, rocky areas, and the greatest ocean view. I went midday on a Thursday, and it was not crowded at all - for the last 1/2 of the loop, I only saw three other people.

It’s rated as easy, but I would categorize it as moderate. I went on the first clear day after a few days of rain, so the ground was pretty muddy and there was a ton of loose rocks covering the few steep inclines. Some trail areas were non accessible due to huge puddles so I re-routed a couple times and made a few wrong turns along the way. Definitely added a little more adventure to the hike, which was fun!

I parked in the Mori Point parking lot. It’s kind of small (only space for like 6 cars), but I think it’s the best starting point to the hike (rather than the start/end marked on the map.

It is SUPER windy, so make sure you bundle up with layers! And make sure your phone doesn't fly out of your hand when you're checking the AllTrails app, haha!

Rolling trail with spectacular views. Windy from off shore breezes. Nice way to spend the 90 minutes before the sunset.

Fun hike with friends on New Year day. Gorgeous views, a little crowded but tons of cool graffiti art in the Ana dined buildings and bunkers.

Majestic views!

Steep incline worth the views!

Awesome views!

Easy hike with great views. Maybe spot a whale or two if you’re lucky!

Wide open views of the cliffs and sea. Very steep but worth the payoff. Lots of side paths to meander to vistas.

Easy but very beautiful

Great trail with a killer hill or two, it connects to a flat trail that goes down to Rockaway beach. I enjoy it.

Nice hiking trail, the first half is a bit tough, but gets easier afterworlds. If you're looking to hike in forest between trees, pick another one. This is open high elevation space with nice views overseeing SF, the beach and marin county.

Beautiful hike, highly recommend making the short hike to see the Nike Missile Launch site. It’s the only one in the US still open to the public. Open Saturdays 12-4pm

nice easy trail with great views. . .

Beautiful overlook and well maintained trails. It is a popular spot to visit with lots of parking.

I like doing trail because I love doing nature walk and enjoying and look at different types of plants and smell the Eucalyptus tree

Done this twice. It's a nice hike.

I suggest going all the way to the top! Totally worth it. Would also suggest going on a clear day (if you can find one, haha), as everyday we've gone it's been super foggy!

Beautiful easy trail. Wonderful views.

Great workout with beautiful views

Amazing time. Saw the Marin headlands. It’s amazing

This is by far the best trail I’ve had the opportunity to hike. The views are astonishing. Some parts were steep with lose rocks but overall this hike was easy. Not very crowded and very quiet. Will definitely be back several more times.

great view and fun hike!! there is alot of dog poop on the trails so watch where you step

This is a trail -- or area -- you can customize to your own level/desires due to the number of criss-crossing options. I hiked early morning with the hills and coast in a fog and found this just completely beautiful and mesmerizing. Besides the first steep incline, the loop trail can be kept pretty easy, but if you want more of a challenge, work in a couple of jaunts to the peaks, you can even approach them from different sides to amp it up even more. There are also some interesting old cypress trees to admire in addition to all the wildflowers. I imagine this is really beautiful on a clear, sunny day as well. There were enough locals jogging or walking their dogs to keep it from being too creepy. But it didn't feel crowded at all.

Stunning and accessible

I would rate this as moderate simply due to the few inclines and declines and the loose ground. They’re short bursts but enough to take it out of the easy category.

Sadly the trail has been destroyed with dog poop. I was disgusted by the sheer volume of poop we encountered. I was there with my dog and I had to ensure she didn’t stand on any. Ugh, people of California - please TAKE CARE of our coastline trails! 郎

Great views, but be careful with dogs or kids as some sections cut very close to the edge! I
