Beautiful, lush, and worth the work! The path is a bit washed out and flooded at this time in April, so keep an eye on that. The waterfalls are amazing.

A beautiful, quiet snowshoe with the dog. Saw not a soul on the pine marten or June lake trail that morning. Still about 3 feet of snow at the lake, had to break my own trail from about .25 miles out. I was surprised there was not more foot traffic, but glad for it. Roads plowed / all asphalt getting to marble mountain.

The best overnight backpacking trip so far, we can’t wait to go back!

Great waterfall, just disappointed that the end of the trail was a gravel road, no grand view at the end.

Nice snowshoe walk at the end of the season. Sun was coming through. Some walked without snowshoes but they were struggling a little.

Nice easy hike. Great for beginners and kids.

Road was closed when i got there. I had to walk extra 2 miles to the trail head, and it was covered with a lot of snow. Will come back when it has better condition.

Went on a Friday afternoon, not very crowded was a short hike to falls. Was a decent hike up the hill after the falls to the junction with the John Wayne trail. Will do more often as we cross the pass.

Beautiful sunny, warm day for a beautiful hike. Tons of people and dogs. The trip was still gorgeous though. Good season opener.

Great day for family hike. Busy so we parked on the road outside parking lot. Not muddy and river views were exceptional. A little up and down to get to falls but well worth the effort. Great for kids of all ages!

Mediocre hike with decent views of the waterfalls. May be better in the summer when you could walk down and enjoy sitting by the river. Not bad if you’re looking for a quick, short hike.

Beautiful waterfalls views.
Some mud, I would wear hiking shoes.
My puppy had a blast.
I would suggest going on a weekday, weekends seem to be packed with lots of people.

Beautiful waterfalls. Great river views. Able to go to water's edge.

deep snow towards the top but an adventure forsure!

Views: Crystal clear river, old trees, two waterfalls.
Difficulty: Easy the inclines are spaced out and there's plenty of flat walking areas.
Trail conditions: Beginning of March- trail was muddy in some spots overall wasn't too bad. The trail didn't have as many people as Rattlesnake or Poo Poo Point.
Overall: This was a beautiful hike! We brought our dog, and he loved it!

Nice and easy hike through the snow. Didn’t need snowshoes or spikes.

Great hike! It was a bit muddy today but that is to be expected this time of year. (February 27th) We didn’t go to the very end but we made it up to the second fall lookout. Little to no snow on the ground. The trail is well maintained with a handful of sections of log stairs. The falls were incredible!

This hike is pretty and not difficult. Lots of fresh snow so spikes weren’t necessary but did help when going up an incline. The cave is covered up right now, but the hike is still worth it. Saw a small avalanche as well. I can’t wait to go back when I can actually see the cave! Parking is about 2 miles away from the trailhead.

Amazing hike! We went on 2/18 and the weather was sunny with a little snow. The river is beautiful and the copper mines are pretty awesome. Make sure to bring strong flashlights and extra batteries if you want to explore them. The hike up is all incline and beautiful along the way. There snow was deep and icy towards the top so bring hiking poles. The trail was closed, and for good reason, where it leaves the river to go up to the ridge. We will definitely be back in late spring to see the views from the ridge.

Went out with a partner, our first time using snow shoes.

First 2 miles were hard packed and easy to traverse. Broke trail for half a mile in. Easy to follow the alltrails route through the thick powder. Absolutely no trail markings. The views were spectacular.

Snoeshoed from the road closure to the falls and back. 7.8 miles round trip. Great workout in wet snow.
