Sunrise hike here is amazing!

Road was closed when i got there. I had to walk extra 2 miles to the trail head, and it was covered with a lot of snow. Will come back when it has better condition.

Beautiful hike with great views of St. Helens. I went in mid March and there was still snow in some places.

Not breathtaking, but it's a fun day. My five year old was tired at the end but had so much fun. We will definitely do it again.

Hiked to Lake 22 on Saturday and the parking lot was full and slightly icy. Had to park across the street in the entrance of the second lot, as that was completely covered in snow and a car got stuck trying to go in. The hike is really pretty easy, definitely icy and lots of snow. The lake is starting to thaw and there was a high avalanche warning, but it seemed safe to me. Super beautiful!

World class waterfall! In the middle of NOWHERE! But worth the drive from wherever you’re from.

Amazing short hike to a breathtaking waterfall. It was pouring rain when we went and it was still very enjoyable.

good spring or fall hike.

This is one of my all time favorite hikes, its so beautiful!!!

Beautiful trail, a little muddy but overall great hike.

I went March of 2017 and it was good. I didn’t hike all the way down because I had my dog but I got some amazing pictures.

Tried to go up to the falls today but some drunk idiot got his Honda stuck on the road a mile away from the trail head! Best to bring up a AWD car or 4 wheel drive if your trying to come up soon! Otherwise I suggest to wait until spring in a couple weeks when the snow is gone! Will have to come back soon !

Great little loop trail! Everyone should visit and see Palouse Falls at least once in their lifetime. I went on Feb 27th 2018 and was able to catch sunset. It was great!

I also filmed the hike and caught some good drone footage of the film. For anyone interested it can be found on Youtube if you search “Sunset over Palouse Falls. Flying to film.”

trail running

I ran this trail in the evening and there was a pretty good crowd but everyone was very gracious in letting me get by. It was a challenging run but nothing too crazy. The payoff at the top is worth the burn, such a gorgeous scene!

Hiked up to the lake today, the parking lot was full, very snowy and hard to drive up to. Recommend a 4WD vehicle. We watched a Subaru Outback spin and have to be be pushed out of the parking lot. The hike was moderate and completely covered in snow. Micro spikes weren’t needed, but were helpful on the way down. There were lots of dogs and friendly people on the trail. We didn’t have too much visability but it was still beautiful! A good calf workout :)

This hike is pretty and not difficult. Lots of fresh snow so spikes weren’t necessary but did help when going up an incline. The cave is covered up right now, but the hike is still worth it. Saw a small avalanche as well. I can’t wait to go back when I can actually see the cave! Parking is about 2 miles away from the trailhead.

Great hike and amazing waterfall. I recommend hiking out to the top of the falls as well as down to the bottom. Great views from every part of the trail.

gave it a 4 because of the slick trail but Beautiful!!! the beginning of the trail was pretty snowy and slick when we were there in February but just took it slow and we were good! the sign for the trailhead is hanging in the tree but if you pull off into the big rock pit you can then find the trail no problem a little back down the road and there was spray paint on the ground to mark it.

The falls are incredible, but it's not much of a hike to get here. It's more of a walk from your car. I would recommend hiking to the nearby Falls Creek Falls (which is in my opinion even more impressive), and then drive to Panther Creek Falls before you head home. I saw both on the same day in July of last year.

I had the trail to myself on this beautiful brisk morning. Lots of scat on the trail but didn't see any animals around except birds overhead. Stunning area, a few nice waterfalls leading to the lake.

More of a swim than a hike. Lots of character! Wear wool socks.

Wonderful hike up to the lake with the dog. Few inches of fresh snow. Lots of water along the trail.

The hike is worth it. The falls are amazing.

Snowshoed this half way then back tracked.. next time doing the entire loop . Today was sunny and clear skies . Magical views that never stoped

Good hike, not many people out. I definitely recommend wearing waterproof boots and bringing along microspikes. It’s a wet trail and towards the top there’s some ice and snow. Great views of the frozen lake and the mountains nearby

love this hike. Today was the first time I've done it during the winter and i wasn't disappointed. Definitely wet with snow and ice up towards the top so just take it slow, layer up a little and wear good hiking shoes/boots and you'll really enjoy this hike. Always so rewarding when you get to the top, especially this time of year. 2.5 hours total with 15 mins at the lake.

Spectacular waterfall. The road to get to the gravel parking area gets pretty narrow at some points, but is paved. Getting to the bottom of the falls is a very short, but pretty intensely steep hike. As other reviews have mentioned, once you park, walk back down the road a bit and the trail becomes visible on the right-hand side a little past the spray paint on the road (then follow the sound of rushing water).

Went yesterday and the road is closed 2 miles before the turnoff so the hike is longer than what you’ll read about it. An avalanche covered the cave entrance so we couldn’t explore but up to the right are some small waterfalls and it was an absolutely gorgeous day. A lot of hard pack snow and ice, I didn’t bring my spikes but they wouldn’t be a bad idea to have.

Best hike of my life
