Sooooo much fun. still needed micro-spikes for the last mile in the snow and ice. Simply gorgeous. The old growth Douglas fir trees are beautiful neat the mid-way point.

Great easy hike, a little climbing over a downed tree, but the falls are just beautiful. Lots of gorgeous pics of moss covered rocks with water flowing over.

Loved this trail! I got 4.5 miles up today and was stopped by snow as I couldn't find the trail today. Definitely going back when the snow is melted!

great views. very snowy on april 18 2018. extra gear needed to reach the top due to weather that time.

I did this hike a year ago and it was a good one. Beautiful, challenging and well kept. There seems to be snow into spring so dress accordingly, I had to learn the hard way with this hike but it was well worth it! Make sure you are in good shape to finish this hike so you can finish it in a timely manner!

Beautiful! Lots of snow at the top today. Glad I brought my spikes.

Hiked it clockwise a few days ago with wife. We did it round trip, but last 1/8 mile was a scramble up a loose rock field, pulling ourselves up toward a railroad track by grabbing a rock outcropping on our right. Hike is not for the faint of heart - see link below. In hindsight, we should have hiked down to the top of the falls and returned the same way we came, which would have eliminated a long cliff hugging trail section which takes you close to the base of the falls and then back up to the parking area if you can navigate a steep scramble uphill at the end. If you look at the map provided on the Alltrails site, you will notice a gap in the “loop” - this gap is a a steep hard to ascend slope (fenced off at top) - we had to go past it to find a route to ascend to the parking lot. There was a fatality in late May 2017, due to a fall from this trail.

Awesome place to go in winter and also in spring when it is slightly less taxing. Go there enough prepared to walk in snow for good two miles if you are going in winter or early spring. The hike experience is wonderful and worth it!

Light rain the whole time. Well marked trail, friendly folks and close enough to the city to get an aggressive training hike.

Leg Day!!! A nice challenge. The journey is definitively worth the destination here! You'll be glad you did this one. Fair warning, the water is freezing cold! Even in July.

Bridle Veils is not bad, go on ahead to the Lake to make it worth it.

A great challenge and beautiful view! I did not need crampons at the top after Monday’s sunny day it was mostly melted and slushy.

Awesome hike! We had a pretty warm day yesterday and a lot of the snow melted at the top. I put my spikes on to walk 20 feet then took them off. Stay on the pinestraw and you're all set, the spikes were over kill IMO.

Amazing trail and beautiful as well! Very icy so you have to be careful but definitely worth it.

Excellent hike! My bootie raised two inches this day. Be sure to wear spikes there is still ice and snow at the summit

It was definitely difficult for us but so worth it!

Super easy hike, great views. Part of the trail higher up past the falls is snowed out this time of year.

Beautiful hike. Must bring crampons during this time of year to get to the top.

Steady gain in elevation. Perfect if you’re looking for a low-key morning workout. Hiking boots, poles, and crampons are a must if you want to make it to the top. The snow pack gets pretty slick as you get higher up!

Wife and I did this trail this morning and had a great time. The parking lot was fairly full but the trail was never close to being anywhere near crowded. The weather was just right with it only being a bit cool towards the top. I was hesitant at first about bringing crampons but certainly glad I did. I got a kick out of watching all those in sneakers skidding and sliding around trying to not fall on their butt or worse off the trail. Overall it was a fun hike and would recommend it.

Great hike. beautiful lush greenery and creeks along the way. there is a large tree in the way so go around it. falls are roaring this time of the year

Beautiful hike to enjoy with the kids and dog in tow.

On March 10th a Friend and I climbed to the top of Mount Si. Here is a video i made along the way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0tvffyzSH8&t=3s We began hiking at 6:00am from the main trailhead, it was 29 degrees, clear skies and only a few cars in the parking lot. About 2ish miles up the trails we stopped and i put on my crampons, microspikes would have also worked a little while later we made it to the top of Mount Si through a near vertical scramble. I would only attempt this if you have crampons or an ice axe as it was a little hairy!! The cornices at the top weren't terrible but still stay away from the edge. We stayed at the top for a little bit took a few photos and then began working our way back down the views were incredible, not a cloud in the sky only a little windy. On the way down we encountered a TON of people we couldn't hike for more than one minute without seeing another group of people headed up the trail. We reached the trailhead around 11:00 and it was full. Again here is the video i took on the hike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0tvffyzSH8&t=3s

First time I ever hiked in the snow. It was amazing! We made it all the way to the waterfall. Simply beautiful!

It’s hard, but worth it once you get to the top. Should be in moderate shape before attempting to get to the top.

great trail for beginners and what an awesome waterfall! if you're squeamish of heights then hiking to the falls may not be for you but it's only really tall at the very end. great little trek though.

We hiked this in September and it was incredible! I had no idea we would see so many peaks in the distance. The first part of the trail is woodsy, then much more exposed (it got a little hot!) and steep with some rocks to climb over at points. The view at the top was more than worth it. This is in my top five hikes for sure!

We were able to get to the top without spikes, but we certainly slid around and took a few falls. Overall, the intense uphill battle is completely worth the beautiful scenery, friendly birds, and memories. Dress warm-top is covered in snow!

Did this in August with some friends and it was so much fun! Definitely recommend starting early because it took us a while, especially since we did bridal falls first. This trail is hard with tons of switch backs and a lot of uphill stairs. If you are somewhat fit, you will be fine. The lake is nice to swim in during the summer time as it is completely clear and cold. Reminds me of Lake Twenty-Two but you can’t walk around it on a board walk :) Bring lots of water and snacks because there are a ton of places to take a break and look out at the landscape. Highly recommend for those of you who want a challenge!

Hard but worth it
