Nice run... nice and peaceful trail. Some of the parts were narrow and I had to wait for bicyclist to go through, but that is really not anything to complain about. My biggest complaint was that I heard many small caliber gunshots at the very beginning of the trail. I no longer heard any closer to the falls, just at the beginning of the trail. Based off of the name, I was expecting a nice run to a beautiful waterfall… But that’s not the case. The “falls“ were so small that it is possible to even miss it. I heard some running water hiked down a baby trail and saw it. If you are looking for a nice waterfall, the nicest in the area is Tumwater Falls. If you are looking for a nice hike or trail run, this is the place.

Did this one by myself on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It was a great haunt to end my Sunday!

I hiked up toward the Margaret McKenny Campground and loop back around to the Mima Falls. Not much of a visual hike. The day before, there were horse events, so the trial was riddled with horse poo. It was hot and nasty that morning and the water fall was terrible. The only good thing about the hike was at the top you had a clear look at Mt. Rainier.

Great trail for mtb! U just need to know where your goin' it is easy to get lost; like we were.
I like how long the trail is.

Great trail! The only downfall is it having potholes. And, don't bring your 55 yr. old dad.

Nice hike to a small waterfall. Also good for mountain biking.

Fine hike, but the falls were tiny and not a worthwhile endpoint. The “day use area” by the falls is little more than a picnic bench.

Came from the Chehalis Western Trail and crossed the bridge to get to this one . Very nice and lots to see .

Always have a wonderful walk here .

Solid leg burner hike. Went left instead of right, climbed 1200ft in two miles. The descent was just as good. All with my 11th month old on my back in the Osprey. The creeks are beautiful and there are plenty of benches along the way to stop and rest.

Great trail, the lenght was great. Just be aware of other people.

Went with my friend and we took our pups, lots of loops to explore, loved it.

Great trail! Fun for the whole family and is stroller friendly.

Lots of photo opportunities! Gorgeous views and a nice Visitor Center/ Gift shop

Easy. Great views and dog friendly. I highly recommend this for a leisurely stroll or beginners.

Did this hike with my 4 month old in a pack:) hubby had our 3.5 year old also but she hiked alone for half of it! Very do-able even with little ones! The steep parts definitely made my legs burn but it was moderate!! Would recommend

We love this trail! Beautiful, and dog friendly which is a plus. The beach that it leads out to is gorgeous. Definitely would recommend this to a beginner. Not much elevation, so really it’s great just as a walk or run.

Good paved and gravel trail until the end. Views of the Puget Sound are great with many sea run coastal cutthroat trout active off the beach. This is an excellent local, evening hike for the family or a quick run.

Great local hike with no elevation and good views of the Nisqually River delta. Lots of birds and blackberries.

love it it's good for the kids and very interesting wild life

Great run down to the water, with a rewarding view once you get there. If you’re running, it’s a little steep and challenging coming back up to the top! Overall a peaceful, beautiful trail perfect for families, couples or solo explorers

Beautiful walk through the woods to the beach.

Easy path, stroller friendly for folks that have little ones. Great views, you walk through canopy most of the way until arriving at the beach.

nice little walk...totally great way to start the day.

Great area to get out and go for a jog or just enjoy the nature, there is an ADA accessible paved path, but you can also go further out on the dirt path. You can usually see hawks about half way out, sometimes you see RC planes in the field next to the mounds.

The people complaining about gunshots must not go very far in because you definitely don't hear it the whole trail, occasionally by the entrance you do hear the sportsman's club enjoying their freedom and exercising their 2nd ammendment rights.

Awesome park. Easy for everyone. Good for picnic, kayaking, walking, biking, etc. with Mt. Rainier view, water is so clear and its just beautiful well maintained trails.

Nice walk through the woods that leads to a great view of Henderson Inlet. The main road that leads straight to the inlet could be easily traveled with a stroller, but if you are planning on taking the trail through the woods and you have a stroller I wouldn't recommend it because there are a few places where you have to go up and down stairs and there are spots on the trail where tree roots are out of the ground which would make pushing a stroller difficult. We had binoculars and could see seals soaking up some sun on the pier out in the water. The trail wasn't busy and is well maintained and clean.

Nice easy walk. Good overlook of the Nisqually river. Completed the entire walk with 4 kids the youngest one is 10 so it's definitely an easy walk. If you look you can watch Bald Eagles flying around. The trails were clean and maintained.

longer than expected, not well marked, but beautiful and decent for hiking with a baby. maybe more resting places could make it better for kids, but otherwise good. the trail width made me feel safe, and there were not too many bees. falls were pretty, though a little anticlimactic. I went on this last year in late June. was thinking of going again, but have 2 kids now and should probably choose one with more benches.
