made it to about the 4km mark. (my garmin said 3.85) the snow level when from 4-6" to about 2' in about 20-30' elevation gain had to turn around never made it to the view point. (didnt pack now shoes)

My wife and I went up last week. Absolutely stunning views at the top. The first few km’s are pretty boring until you hit the real trail. It gets steep from here to the top.
Moving pretty quickly we got up in 2hrs and 20mins.

Fantastic hike on a clear November day! The views are stunning. Five hours round trip if you are fit and fast!. The distance shown for this hike is not accurate - my Suunto GPS said 18kms round trip and not the 12.5km as posted above.

Definitely a tough trail. A steep climb most of the way with a bit of scrambling at the top. It took us a little over 2 hours each way. Beautiful views on a clear day.

Loved it. Nicely-built trail winds up to hugely rewarding views at the top. Spend some time on the peak.

Great hike. 5 and a half hours round trip with a few breaks. Trail is well marked and in excellent condition.

Hard trail, definitely need a pair of hiking boots

The Trail's rough at parts and there are definitely a few "No Fall" zones near the end! We did it in the worst of conditions, through Fog/Clouds and using a lot of humor (british colonizer accent) and shenanigans! Made a comical video for those who want the full experience here at https://youtu.be/9RJVervFr3c lol! :)

Tough trail, not well marked and poorly maintained. Did this trail twice, once in winter and again on September 4, 2018. View was ok. Would not do it again. Most of the trail was a scramble, or it appeared as such. Treacherous in some sections so be careful. You will at one point on the trail need to pull yourself up with ropes. Passes close to the edge so caution is advised alone this trail. Took 8 hours to complete with 45 minutes for lunch at the top. I had to use some ropes of my own for the decent as it was quite STEEP. Would not recommend for kids and pets. Only view is at the top which is lovely but not worth the effort. This is not just a hike and definitely not “a walk in the park”.

It was very hard as we carried heavy photography equipment with us and it was hot. Thankfully he started the trail at 7am to avoid the heat. All the pain and big effort, pays off once you get to top and you see the lake. Have good rest at the top so you are ready to go down legs need to be in good rest as you’ll squat like crazy.

I’ll never forget this trail it set up a before and after in my life.

a steep grind. First time I've done this hike and had a view

Great hike. Perfect October fall weather but defintely cool at the higher elevation. Make sure you bring some light wool gloves. Pushed myself hard up and down with a nice lunch break at the top. Next time i will have to bring a collapsible fishing rod, as a fellow hiker pulled a nice pan fry with a few casts. Total up and down with photo stops and lunch break was about 5 hours.

Total beginners
Took us 4:30h to climb and 2:30h to descent
2 passages with ropes at 94% grade.
This is just 25% grade non stop minimum, and half of it was more than 50% grade.
View was stunning!! Absolutely Worth it.

Right in the sweet spot of not too hard, not too easy, spectacular views, accessible from the Valley. We've done it in June, July, and October, and October on a sunny day takes the cake, it's a lot easier when you're not overheating. There's a small trail that goes to Flora Peak, it's much better than the lake as you get a 360º panorama of the all the mountains around, including seeing Greendrop and Flora Lake. Better to be up high than down low!

Super steep hike! I recommend poles for the way down to save your knees (and keep you from tumbling down the mountain!).
Around a third to half of the way in there is a beautiful view point that's perfect for a lunch break.
The trail sikes you out a few times as there are a lot of great viewpoints where you think you have reached the end but you need to keep going up the ridge to summit Harvey! Highly recommend checking your gps to make sure you get all the way up. Quite a bit of scrambling/climbing needed.
Also, bring layers as the weather changes rapidly and can get quite cold.
Trail had awesome views of Howe Sound and the Lions if it's not too cloudy.

Commenced hike yesterday 10 am or so. Went behind the tank and were about 20 minutes up the trail when we commenced heating growling from what seemed like a mountain lion of sorts. Spoke loudly, held our ground but with each movement and sound of our bear bell the growing got more significant. Decided to call it a hike and retreated slowly down while making lots of noise. Would be cautious of area and definitely not do solo.

Had a great hike up to the second lake.
She's a steep knee grinder both ways so beware.
I brought my dog and we got through it in 6.5 hours with a bit of a lunch hangout at the wrecked platform.
Met two nice guys searching for old mine shafts and found an old Spear head while hiking this trail.
Totally recommend!

Great steep rooty climb. I measured 5.6km to the top from the west canyon trailhead parking lot. It took us 2 hours to reach the summit. Awesome views from up there.

Be prepared to scramble to reach the summit!

Took about 8 hours round trip - with stops
Absolutely amazing climb if you’re not afraid of heights

Is a steady go for the whole time, the last portion is a decent scramble. Took 6 hours round trip with a few stops. This did not include much time at the top as was clouded over.

This is a great hike but not easy some good elevation gain. Summer/fall snow until July. start early!

Good hike lots of great scenery. I recommend going in July or August and bring pleanty of water because the streams are likely dried up this time of year. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is we were expecting a beach. We ended up camping right in the middle of the path.

A very sustained incline! amazing for those who want to push themselves in the capacity of a day hike. Such a rewarding view from the peak. Made from trailhead to peak in exactly 2 hours 30 minutes with few breaks. Brunswick lake is worth cutting down to while you're in the area, cold water but not so much that you can't stay in and swim for a while.

Great hike up to Lady peak this Sunday, it was a hazy day but was still absolutely beautiful. The trail to cheam was absolutely packed for the long weekend, over 100 people probably summited Cheam yesterday, but I only saw one other party on the path up to Lady! The trail was well marked throughout and the scrambling was easy with plenty of good handholds and very little exposure. Can't recommend this enough. The trail isn't too long, my GPS track clocked in at about 7k and it took me 3 hours and a half going at a moderate pace taking plenty of time to enjoy the view.

I hiked the trail to the lake. The round trip was 4hrs 20min. With a 15min. rest at the lake. Definitely take your time and watch your step for the first kilometer as others have mentioned lots of rocks and roots to catch you, keep your eyes peeled. This was a very pleasant walking in the old growth sections. The large boulders with the Moss and trees growing around and amongst them is
very grounding making you feel very small. A good hike definitely not a Beginners Trail.

It’s a bit of a scramble at the end to reach the peak but the incredible view is worth getting your hands dirty

End of June 2018.
Incredible! The elevation was great, the trail well marked (once we figured out to follow the road all the way) and the views were outstanding!
There was still some snow but very manageable even without poles.
