Beautiful lake, but it is too smoky now. I suggest hiking this trail when smoke clears. Lake is definitely very beautiful.

Perfect short easy hike for glacier. If you’re looking to get away from the crowds hit the Reynolds trail for a mile or two near the overlook of Hidden Lake. We did on the way back and went from passing people every 30 seconds to not seeing a soul around us, real quick. Views were obstructed from the smoke but still beautiful 8/15/18

Beautiful hike, crowded at 7am. Walked it with our cat, don’t forget your discovery pass! There is also a pull off on the road immediately before the trail parking lot (if coming west from Seattle) that saves you about a mile of hiking.

Really enjoyed this easy hike.
Definitely looking forward to doing it again.
The falls are amazing when you are standing in the mist.

Definitely a rewarding hike. I loved it.. by far my favorite place.

Easy with kids! Wish we had packed a picnic!

Do not go without a permit. BLM and the sheriff check several times a day. The fine is huge not to mention federal court and the bad karma from doing the wrong thing to Mother Nature.

Protecting the wave and surrounding area is critical. It is fragile beauty.

It took us 8 months but we finally won a permit. The effort was worth it. No one can really describe the mind boggling beauty of this hike.

It is as though you are on another planet. Enter the lottery every month until you are awarded a permit. It is truly the golden ticket.

Sandy in areas which is exhausting. Take the detailed map you get with your permit. We used it way more than I thought we would. You are on your own out there.

The ranger will stop you and examine your permit. Writing down the details. They keep careful track of who is out there.

The lake is just magical. Must return on a clear day.

I found this trail BRUTAL. Make sure you have a huge breakfast and bring at least 2+ litres of water and plenty of food and snacks. Only exposure to sun is right at the top so don't worry about SPF or anything like that unless you plan on staying up there a while.

It was gorgeous and breathtaking but I can't comment on whether the physically demanding hike is worth it. That's up to you to decide.

I used the trailhead direct bus from seattle, only $2.75 and drops you off right at the bottom of the trail. These run at the weekends in summer only I believe.

Trail wasn't too crowded for a Saturday and everyone was really friendly and encouraging. Some athletes ran up and down it then back up again in the time it took us to climb up!

Fun hike. Started at Indian Beach parking lot and did the Tillamook Head out & back. The trail is a little muddy in places but it’s a rain forest so no big surprise. I’d wear some sort of hiking or trail shoe/boot just for the added traction.

I’m 22, 5’1, 120lbs and I left my body and soul on the trail. This is hike is definitely difficult. It took my group and I about 3.5+ hours to get to the lake. I’d say this hike has 2 parts. The first part is the most intense, you’re going on a steep uphill for about 2 hours? It seems like never ending, never look up it’s discouraging. Bugs weren’t bad, weather was fine. The second part is when it plateaus a little then you go down hill for 1.5 hours? When you get to the lake go to the small little water fall on the left side of the lake it’s beautiful there. Water is cold.
Tip: WEAR GOOD SHOES. I wore running shoes and they were not comfortable throughout the trip
Bring at least 2L of water! You will be sweating tons
Enjoy the hike!

Hard to find parking so get there early!

Great trail to the waterfall. Show up early and it's not bad.

Much more enjoyable than the zoo at Snoqualmie Falls.

Nice trail. A lot of the hike is spent in the woods on switchbacks but the top has some excellent views. Get ready to sweat.

Warning! Trail is closed until 08/31. Rangers are actively ticketing trespassers

If you go to Arches and you aren’t just a tourist then GO DO THIS TRAIL!!!! We got to the visitors center right at 7:30am when it opened so we were the first people out on the trail and it was amazing. Maybe one of my favorite trails I’ve ever hiked. We got lost for almost an hour but just laughed to whole time because the scenery was too gorgeous to be upset. Please do yourself a favor and hike this trail!!!

Loved it, get there early to get a spot and bring your Discover Pass. You can purchase a day pass in the parking lot for $10. Recommend walking sticks for the descent. Beautiful views of river and falls.
Air quality was good but a bit of a haze still lingered.

I didn’t enjoyed it that much. You can’t deny the view is take breathing, but you are not able to get close to the falls, the viewpoint is really far from there. It is my understanding that another trial exists to get to the bottom, we just didn’t know where that was. The trial it’s crowded, and to be honest, I was really scared about the missing boy and probably dead by now. At one point of the trial I saw some girls getting beyond the fence limit to get some shots and selfies and they were really really close to the edges and to one of the waterfalls. So scary! A picture is not worthy, life and security first, people!

The trail was pretty good. The weather was cloudy so very soothing to sit at the top. Only drawback was mount Ranier was not visible.
First break spot is at 1.25. Miles.
2hours to go up and 1 hour to go down for us...

What a view!!!! Be there when sun shines!

Climbed Mt. Si for first time today while taking a back to school shopping break. The parking lot was not crowded. The trail was in great condition and easy to follow. It was quite the climb the entire way. It took me about an hour and 20 minutes. I thought this was great, until someone ran passed me almost at the top. It did take some others I met almost 3 hours to get to the top. I enjoyed being in the trees for most of the time until the top. I followed some others to the top of the haystack. It was quite the view, too bad it was smoky. I would recommend this hike just bring water and be prepared for a ‘great ‘ leg/butt workout.

Our family has stopped on this trail at the overlook numerous times over the years; on our last visit we hiked to the lakeshore for the first time, ascending back up the trail was somewhat strenuous, but worth seeing the scenery and serenity lakeside.

I can't imagine a more beautiful hike. Not so much of a workout at the pace we went, stopping so many times for photos and to enjoy the views, but worth every second. If you are at all considering this, do it. You'll be so glad you did. (But start out early, especially on the weekend--it will get crowded.)

Scenic views of waterfalls are plentiful on this hike. It didn't feel hard but one does need to be prepared for the distance. It was heavily trafficked on a midday Saturday – so don't expect a solitary experience – but that is to be expected. North Falls are worth the extra distance.

The parking lot is full by around 630am. Make sure to be there early

I’m a novice hiker and this was my second hike in the PNW so far. The views along the way made it really enjoyable the whole way.

We did this hike today and it's beautiful. The first cave is easily accessible however the others require little effort but worth it. There was a water curtain due to a small water fall behind the cave in the last one. It was worth taking the effort to go up till there. We actually entered and experienced the cave from inside however one of the cave, which was small and fragile collapsed right behind us, be careful and don't risk.

Beautiful! Moderate hike, hard on some of the switchbacks and uphill parts (depending how much weight you’re carrying). Bring a lunch to eat on the lake with a gorgeous view. Definitely worth the hike!

Excellent. Hiked the entire distance in one day - started at Stuart trail , finished at Snow lake trail head. Took 15 hrs ( swimming stop and rest breaks) a bit scary hiking last 4-5 miles in the dark.
Beautiful scenic yet challenging hike. Thank you to my friend Kristen who organized this adventure !

Prepare to get wet! Fantastic hike along and in a creek. Beautiful scenery as you hike through a canyon, climb over a huge log jam and wade through the water to reach a cascading waterfall at the end of your hike. Highly recommend!
