Beautiful views! Well worth the effort. I’m a beginning walker/hiker & struggled a bit on the last leg of the climb up, but I did it, twice in the last month in fact! If I can do this, anyone can!!

easily one of my fav waterfalls in this area..easy hike to two great falls.

Loved this hike. started at the lower parking area and hiked to the top of the falls. then went down the stairs to the pool and trail back. Best way to hike this trail. Starting at the falls doesn't build any anticipation.

Great views and moderate workout. Trail clearly marked.

It’s a stunning view! The steps are in excellent shape and handrails smooth wood.. so lovely! The canopy of trees was such a blessing!! You definitely feel like you’ve accomplished something after this hike!

Loved this hike, it was speldid. Double feature waterfall, the top fall is better (in my opinion) for swimming. I gave four stars because we didn't know that there are TWO enterances. We went through the back and had to cross TWO rivers in my little Kia Forte. Which, no surprise, we had to park and walk. It was a solid half mile, if not more, to the actual waterfall entrance. Other than that, no complaints. SUPER slick, so be cautious. A must see, we plan to go back.

Decent hike, beatuiful waterfall!!! It is crowded however but worth the trip.

Great hike.. it's best to go earlier in the morning before noon, otherwise you'd be stuck in traffic. After being in traffic mon- fri the worst thing is to be stuck in traffic on the weekends. We got there at 8am on a Sunday (clear and calm). by the time we left it was bumper to bumper in the park so I'm good we got there when we did. The hike is great for beginning hikers(myself). Great views and a great workout. There are multiple paths and be sure to put on bug repellent.

My Husband and I drove up to the top of the falls, and walked down all 604 steps. it was our first time there. I am not a small Girl by any means.& with a number of health issues, so for Me to be able to make it... anyone can!! Just be sure whether your going up from the bottom or down from the top, pace yourself you do NOT want to rush this climb. oh and be sure to stop on the bridge that crosses over the middle of the falls. I had a great time and can not wait to do it again.

Beautiful view of two waterfalls. Super easy. I’d hardly even call it a hike.

If you are in Roswell and have nothing better to do then this is a fine way to spend a morning. Don’t go out of your way.

extremely easy falls to hike to but still worth the trip...

Very short little hike down to 2 beautiful waterfalls, the upper falls has a great little pool to swim in. It is cooler water so it’s perfect for summer but a great short walk any time of year to view the falls. Great for kids and older adults.

Nice, peaceful trail. A good stroll on the woods.

This trail has a good mix of ups and downs. Great for exercise

This is a great walk. We did about 1.25 out and turned around. Beautiful views of the lake. It is posted No Dogs (seems to be part of the park across the road) but we saw no one other than a couple of fishermen thigh-deep in the water. So, whatever...

Started on the right side behind the visitor's lodge and hiked up, then took the steps back down. Highly recommend going in the morning before it gets hot and people start flowing in! We were finished around noon (on a Sunday) and the steps were packed with people on our way down. Also as a previous review stated please do not take your dog on the steps! There are so many other ways up or down that are less painful for them.

Easy short hike. The 1.5 mile dirt road to the trail head wasn’t too be but I could see this being a challenge on a rainy day. The waterfall and pool were awesome. Easy to get to and enjoy. Water was a little cold but you adjust on a warm day.

Very short little hike. the trail is very welll kept and the views are sensational

Great trail! Beautiful view! Super helpful staff.

DONT GO HERE! APPARENTLY IT’S NOT ALLOWED?

Pretty view of the falls. One of the more crowded hikes along the Chatahoochee

This was a nice hike with the exception of the downed trees. Be careful climbing over and around. Its refreshing to be able to dip in the creek after the hike in the humidity!

Very easy hike but one of the families favorites. My 3 yr old and 6 yr old have no trouble with this hike and love climbing the rocks and playing in the water. The swimming hole at the upper falls is a great place to cool off.

Fun hike up and down to the last waterfall (don't stop halfway). Beautiful fall and swimming hole. Great place to cool off and take photos. Brief climb down from viewing platform to get in the water.

Moderate is definitely what I’d use to describe the hike. The views of the falls are definitely something to come for! Unfortunately, as some other reviewers mentioned, there is a bit of a littering problem at the base of the falls. Besides that, it was great exercise with some beautiful scenery! I’ll definitely be back and bring some less experienced friends with me so they can get into it and enjoy hiking like I do :)

This place isn't anything special. Its always crowded too.

Great if you just wanna cut right to it and see a gorgeous waterfall and enjoy a swim!

Helton Creek Falls has been a favorite of ours for over twenty years! We love the easy hike to a delightful and scenic swimming hole for an easy trip. We've taken kids and adults there, and it's always a hit.

Keep in mind there are no facilities of any sort. If you're swimming, be prepared to change in your car or put down a towel so you don't get your seats wet, unless you are confident you can find a secluded spot to change in the woods!
