Well marked, scenic. Probably the best hike in Georgia

Moderate trail with pretty views. There are waterfalls and all sorts of things to see! I recommend this trail for sure.

I do not believe, for a 7 mile hike, moderate is fair. I would rate this a difficult hike and it should not be taken lightly. The terrain is roughly 80% rocky and there are parts where you are outright bouldering. Take plenty of water and take your time. It is very hard on dogs as well. We were going to backpack this loop over 2 nights but ran into foul weather so we were going to finish the loop. It was extremely difficult and I did not hydrate enough (to be fair, it was like 100° outside).

On the other hand, this is one of the best maintained trails in Georgia. It has blazes very regularly, there are bridges over washed out spots and creeks. You do cross the mountain stream a couple times by rock hopping, which could be hard in the case of heavy rain.

There are gorgeous, beautiful mountain spring waterfalls. There are amazing views as well. You can take white candle trail at the left ( + .5 mile) instead if beaver pond to see Odie Overlook, it's gorgeous as well.

I hit the West Rim Loop today and it was amazing! The trails were well-marked and very well-maintained. Took me right at 3 hours and I was moving at a moderate pace with several stops for water breaks and picture takes! Definitely one I’d do again.

Offers a different overlook perspective of the canyon. I especially like the large boulders overlook. The sections that are near water are beautiful. If you want to see rhododendron, this is the trail you want.

Awesome hike!

We did the West Rim loop along with Hemlock and Cherokee falls. This place has the feeling of being out west when your actually in Ga. It is a busy spot, but well worth fighting the crowds to see some once an a lifetime spots.

Just hiked it to cascade falls and back out. 5 miles on the dot the way we went. Great trail with several creek crossings

We
Did it counterclockwise. Waterfall and stream section was amazing. Trail is well marked but about a half mile through what appears to be new growth pines is extremely overgrown with briers. The trail at some points is chocked down to the point you almost needed a machete.

trail is ok.. did this in mid afternoon. very hot. the ups and downs on the trail we're a little tiring with the 98degree heat. lol but it was ok.. disappointed that the trail didn't go along the creek so my dog could play in it. just a steep cliff. I climbed down to refill a water bottle for my dog. other than that no water. pine tree forest. birds. didn't see anything else. some wild flowers. the trail isn't the best design. but it's a loop trail . benches along the way far spaced apart. information plaques about the native animals with description. good for young kids. no cool rocks to climb across or any spectacular views. nice secluded peaceful forest tho.

Trail can be busy if you go later in the day. Breathtaking scenery. Trail is not terribly difficult, but still a good work out.
Note: There are rattlesnakes and copperheads out here, just be wary where you step, don't mess with them and they'll give you no trouble.

This area is beautiful. The trails are marked well and the whole place is kept up very well! There are a lot of steps on this trail but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I will definitely hike this again!

Easy to follow trail. Nice views of the lake. Watch out for all the mountain bikers.

Mike rock is really cool, multiple solution pits make small ponds and natural photogenic areas.

Parts of the first two miles of the trail, hiking clockwise, including the beaver dam trail was an easy hike but somewhat overgrown and in need of some maintenance. The last two miles included several waterfalls and stream crossings which makes for a nice finish. The trail is well marked and easy to find.

One of my favorite moderate hikes in the area. Beautiful changes in ecosystem as you travel through the entire trail. I like to start with the beaver pond and finish with the waterfall section. Go in April and see tons of blooming Mountain Laurels. The waterfall section (up until Wolfden) is fairly busy but I rarely see people after that. You will cross the stream several times via rock and some footbridges. Roots and rocks in the path and the parking area have no bathrooms at the start. Usually takes me around 3 hours at a relaxed pace.

Great training for the Appalachian Trail

Beautiful views! The whole family enjoyed the trail and path is clearly marked. A must do trail!

A breathtakingly beautiful trail with interesting terrain changes along the way. Started with waterfalls trail and the dreaded steps (that weren’t nearly as scary and difficult as I thought they would be), which was a great warm up for the rim trail. We took about 3 hours to complete it but we were moving at a leisurely pace and stopped several times to snack and take pics of the beautiful canyon.

This is a beautiful trail with lovely scenery of the canyon. It is very well signed which makes it easily navigated. The scenic overlooks are well constructed and offer great vantage points over the canyon. We saw clouds forming in the canyon which was lovely. It took us 2 hrs 15 mins at a moderate pace. Recommended time is 3 hrs. worth a visit
