Gorgeous hike! We got to the parking lot at 8:15 on a Saturday and scored one of the last spaces and this is one of the most crowded trails I've ever been on.

The good stuff starts after the trail ends. Incredible views of the gorgeous creek and canyon walls. We went up about 2 miles from the official end of the trail and were envious of some backpackers who were going much further up the slot canyon.

Tons of trail crossings - wear trail runners so you can just walk through & they'll dry quickly.

A very beautiful hike, especially during the fall.

Super quick hike/walk. Keep going until you reach the top with views over the city. I almost stopped, thinking I was at the end, but thankfully kept going up.

Went on a Sunday around 6am and it was quite busy. As a person who enjoys hiking for the relative solitude, that diminished my enjoyment a little. The hike itself was good - well-marked, short but uphill on rocks, and a wonderful 360 degree view at the top.

What an absolute blast! The trail is well maintained and wide. Talk about spectacular views! I highly recommend for avid and intense hikers!

Great views. Must go to sacred pools in the spring.

Just completed this hike. And it was phenomenal! One of my favorite hikes in Sedona, debating between this and Devil's Bridge. Very well shaded trail with plenty of creek crossings. I would rate this hike moderate based off distance, but the actual hike is relatively flat. We stopped where the water was getting too deep, but you can go a lot further based from what we heard from locals. Be sure to get to the parking lot early as it does get really crowded. An absolute must do hike if you're in Sedona!

Always a treat! the first time I did this trail was in October and I ran it. the trail is heavily trafficked. surprisingly it wasn't too busy. Out and back 7.42 miles.

Amazing bike and hiking

Breath-taking views, the dissent is pleasant, however the return up is pretty strenuous.

Hike was far more difficult than anticipated. we should have stayed on the peavine trail for the majority of the trail, but unfortunately most of our hike was through the rugged rocky portion of the trail. it was far too hot and difficult for the hikers in our group. Got to be treacherous as we got overheated, worn out and low on water. Thankfully we all made it out, but took over 4 hours, was over 5 miles an we were pretty worn out. Be sure you know where you are on the trail... stay on peavine if your fitness level isn't up for this level of challenge.

Amazing views. Start early (6am) in August and bring water.

Super nice seven mile hike on maintained trail system. Many stream crossings and 800 foot rise hiking in.

Fern, oak, elm and pine primal rain forest setting. Inside protected wet canyon under canopy of trees.

Grapes, black berries and small apples all good to eat on the hike.

Stream crossings are slick and mossy. I witnessed several slip and falls.

Great hike. Takes about 4 hours if you don’t take breaks.

It was raining on my hike and was super nice.

Incredible hike with great views throughout. A little crowded but worth it

absolutely loved this Trail. A little more traffic than I thought it would have especially in July. Make sure you have plenty of water -there is no reliable water on the trail. I repeat- bring plenty of water, a cover for your head, and long sleeves. don't feel like I need to say it but make sure you bring sunscreen. The trail is pretty easy to follow there's one place within a mile up, go to your right although theTrail looks like it should go on the left-- that's the only hiccup

Great hike!!! If you want to challenge yourself further, go down to Skeleton Point and back, it should take an extra 2 hours.

I do like this hike but would rather do echo.

Great hike if you want to beat the crowd at Squaw Peak summit trail.

Great beginner hike if you're getting into hiking.

Our favorite trail in Phoenix.

Awesome hike. Well marked unless you're myself on the way down. Definitely for more experienced hikers or more driven people in general. Beautiful views of wildlife and the city.

Very easy to get off the main trail! We were off track for about 30 minutes. If you ever question “is this the trail?” You’re not on it!! The main trail is about 3 ft wide the whole way. Pretty easy to cross the creek - need some balance at some parts. Would recommend wearing hiking boots and bring plenty of water!

Easy walking trail mostly on red sand. Highly recommend climbing the rock wall at the end of the trail - AMAZING views of Sedona!

We did the full 11 mike loop. Gorgeous and easy to follow the trail. So many mosquitos! TONS. I’ll be back when there are no mosquitos! Hike wasn’t too hard. We hiked it clockwise ...about 5.5hrs with breaks

it definately has opportunity to try different trails. it does spider off and connect to other trails randomly. the trail makes you feel like you're in the middle of the desert but you know that the freeway is close by. I have run into a snake before, no big deal. the wild life is very scarce. great starting area!

Challenging trail. I loved it.

Great hiking trail but also quite populated. We started hiking at 12:30 on a Friday. Couldn’t finish the trail due to needing to meet up with family in town, but we will be back to do exactly that on another day. There is a $10 fee to get in to the parking area.
