Great trail, awesome incline towards the peak. Lots of loose rock but almost no crowd! Great views of the whole valley. Parked on Tatum and used trail 100 to meet with the trail to the peak.

Soldier Pass to Brins Mesa is a 'must-see' hike. The trail is well maintained and makes for a fairly easy walk. There is a long, gradual ascent to the mesa, although a few uphill spots rate as moderate. The views throughout the hike and from the crowning mesa are awe inspiring, transcendant, unforgettable. The trailhead parking is practically non-existent, so be prepared to park far away and walk some distance to reach the trail. This is a minor aggravation, but well worth the glorious views. Even on a weekend, the trail did not seem crowded. I will be back again and again for this fantastic hike.

One of my absolute favorite hikes in Arizona. This hike is a go to year round and especially nice in the warm weather when you’re able to enjoy the water.

go up to the top , then come back down to the half way point. then run the back side all the way around to the front parking lot.

only did it 11 times in a row , in 13 hrs .

Great trail, saw 3 rattlesnakes

It was a very difficult trail towards the summit. It was totally worth the climb, and I felt very accomplished after the climb.

Sneaky hard trail. Good Stuff!!

Challenging and beautiful. Harder coming down. Witnessed a rescue here today. So, watch your footing, and bring lots of water. We brought over a gallon and could have used more between two.

Great trail. We live less than a mile from trailhead and have done this loop more times than I can count.

BEAUtiful!!! definitely will be back to see the wild flowers and the green!

Busier trail which is expected in the city, but the view is great! Much more hike feel than the stairs over at Piestewa. Parking is a a pain and no facilities at trail head. I agree with others, moderate the first 2/3 of hike then more difficult. Wearing proper shoes and bringing more water than you think you need is just smart especially on this trail. Saw lots of people in slippery casual shoes with no grip having a harder time than need be and some with no water.

Great views throughout the entire trail. Some sections are quite steep but manageable. Feels longer than posted distance.

Respectable short hike but too much traffic and not much variation along the way.

Absolute favorite trail ever. Went in the late afternoon and caught the sunset from the top. It gets crowded at times and the climb after the saddle point is extremely difficult (yet rewarding). The view from the top is unbeatable. This climb is not for the faint of the hard as their are some dicey climbing parts with no room for error. A hike I won't soon forget.

Definitely one of the best trails I have ever done. Unfortunately we had gone on a day that was forecast to rain throughout the day and it was a bad decision since we didn’t have much rain-proof gear, so it was cold and wet. Nevertheless, the views were 10/10 and would definitely go back again on a sunny day. There’s not much incline but it is a decent distance to the end of the trail and the stream crossings definitely slow you down but makes for an interesting hike.

A great hike that turns into a great climb. A rewarding workout for the day. Definitely want to do Echo Canyon next!

It was crowded but one of my favorite hikes!

This is a great hike, don't believe anyone who says they turned back because there was too many people, they couldn't hack it. Plain and simple

Nice, well defined/well marked trail. Easier side of moderate rating for sure! Views are nice, but not spectacular. Can lengthen your hike with connecting trails if preferred. Nice parking lot, restrooms and even a dog fountain at trail head. Took dogs and they did fine, a bit rocky but no issues with cholla.

It was tough to get to the top, but very rewarding! Halfway up trail, it basically turned into rock climbing versus hiking. The view at the top is incredible

Nice views, tough climb on loose rocks in spots

Fantastic place to trail hike/jog! Beautiful scenic views and trails are wide and well marked. Quite rocky which I liked, more challenging than just a dirt trail. Didn’t see many wildflower....not sure when they are in season. Handy to have convenient parking, restrooms and filtered water fountain at the trail head.

This hike was grueling almost to the point where it wasn’t enjoyable, and I was thoroughly exhausted by the end of it. However it is open enough that you can keep on trucking for the most part, and the view is well worth it.

Took my older parents, they loved it. A beautiful, easy walk. I continued on past the maintained trail. You can climb up along a cliff line and it does not disappoint. The view is spectacular, you can even see Bell Rock in the distance.

Nice hike with great views of Phoenix at the top!
