This trail has a lot of steps.

Wonderful views. Can't wait to go back. Go early to beat some of the crowd!!

Good hike through the woods. I combined this trail with the Cook's Wall Trail for more mileage. Great views all around!

Good hike. The Wolf Rock Trial combined with this one makes a better hike. Great views!

The best trail in the park in my opinion. The day I hiked it was super foggy/rainy so views from the summit were zero. The fog up there made it feel like being in a cloud, so it was still very neat.

Amazing view and enjoyable hiking..

Nice shady trail. Does have lots of roots and rocks on the path that could make you howl if you don't watch your step!

Beautiful 6 mile loop (approximately). Shaded the entire trail. Some nice elevation gains throughout. Sounds of the flowing river in the background. We had a blast!

Amazing views!!! We had a lot of fun exploring the different trail options. Be sure to check out the waterfalls!

Great short afternoon or after work hike.

A great and fairly easy trail around the summit (Big Pinnacle). One of the best trails in the park just because it's around the knob. Breezy and cool up there with great views. Great loop possibilities with the Ledge Springs Trail and Grindstone Trail.

A lengthy hike on foot if you hike it down and back. Many manure piles from the many horses litter the trail so you'll need to dodge those. A wide and easy trail through the woods.

Very smooth trail for beginners

Many of the trails are marked poorly and duplicate as biking trails. The trails are thin and impassible so you must always look behind you when hiking, reel the pup in, and step aside to let bikers pass. It makes the time in nature a little less enjoyable.

Not too long of a hike, but gets steep and challenging right at the top. BEAUTIFUL views from multiple lookout points - and great photo opportunities at hanging rock!

Great hike to see the historic Pump Station ruins and great view of the river with lots of rocks there. We continued west on the trail and kept going on the Laurel Trail until we were across from Bobbit Hole (see the chimney ruins). The trail to that point was up and down ... sometimes along the river and sometimes branching away a bit. At the chimney ruins, there is a trail that goes down to the river where we were able to cross to north side of river by hopping rocks and then walked east on the Bobbit Hole trail and then Cole Mill Trail. We kept going east Pea Loop and Dunegun loop trails until we were across from the Pump Station trail, Crossed the river again, rock hoping, and then returned to the Pump Station parking. Fun hike.

the park is great but needs to have more detailed maps.

very good trail, I made the mistake of having to many drinks the night before and it made the trail a little bit tougher

Good moderate hike for varied ages and dogs. Well marked, well traveled, and very beautiful.

The views at the top were gorgeous, and it was a good workout..but very crowded, loud and lots of trash! I would only go back very early in the morning or maybe in the fall/winter months.

I took my son and my dog, it was a lot of fun to hike. It was also pretty scenery, especially hiking next to the creek. It was a good 6.3 miles starting at the Reedy Creek entrance parking lot and doing the entire company mill loop - very fun!

A nice trail but ALWAYS busy. Very steep stair-step type of climb for a long stretch with nice views at the top.

This park was very clean and well organized. The staff were friendly, and the people on the trails were pleasant. There were all sorts of different kinds of people, and it made nice for hiking alone. As for the terrain, I wouldn’t go if you want to just stroll through the woods. There were many handmade stairs and many rocks, and to get up to hanging rock was crazy! I died three times, but when i got to the top it was all worth it. You can hike barefoot for about half the trail if you would like, which i did, and it was comfortable and made for a better grip on the rocks. (At your own risk) the waterfalls weren’t as big as i would have thought but nice to hear the running water down the rocks, but since it was so busy it wasn’t as rewarding due to people being there. I did go on a weekend so that had something to do with it I’m sure. All in all, i enjoyed myself and got an awesome workout. The best things is i got to reflect and appreciate gods creation.

Quite easy trail once you complete Grindstone, but it just adds to the excitement. I recommend the views and sights for anyone looking for a good 6 mile hike when combined with Grindstone.

It was okay the trail had some good views and very crowed I would recommend the trail still

Well marked trail. It pumps your heart rate up for a good work out. Pretty scenery and peaceful. Make sure you take your time to admire the creeks, and bridges.

I have a 10 and 12 year old, and we hiked to the Wolf Rock via the main Hanging Rock Trail. It’s well labeled with a blue triangle. We enjoyed the hike. The kids have only done moderate and easy trails and did just fine. We only saw one other group going back toward Hanging Rock trail. The trail is set well, but sharp rocks stick out of the ground sideways, so it was hard to keep our eyes up to enjoy the beauty: a rhododendron hell (they were in bloom), and the beauty of thick forested mountain side. We will be back to finish the trail now that we have a more accurate map via this app.

Beautiful spot. So near the airport but rarely heard planes. Lots of wildlife to be seen and heard. The loop was moderate as advertised. It was a welcome diversion after work!
