I snowshoed this trail in march and it was so fun! Flat, and accessible. Some were mountain biking it.

Super cool loop. Can tell why this would be a great place to walk your dog if you're a local. But if you're looking for views and a good hike go elsewhere, lots of better views in this area!

Quarry to Peterson Ridge Tie Trail to Whychus Creek Overlook. Back on Whychus Draw Trail to Metolious Windigo Trail and back to trail. This mileage x2 due to technical difficulty. No bikes, no horses, very few other hikers. Beautiful. The best scenery was on the Metolious Windigo side of this loop.

What an awesome hike. Did some fishing also and we caught a trout and a salmon. Pretty easy hike for some beautiful views.

Nothing spectacular, way too many tourists and cars. Super easy hike. Probably won't ever bother going back. Do it to cross it off your bucket list, but really it's nothing great.

Went hear last November looking for hikes without snow in the bend area! This was was a great little hike in a canyon!

Beautiful walk along the river.

Beautiful mellow hike. Lots of creek/falls viewpoints. A few steep rocky parts, but they were short.

Such a beautiful hike. We took our time and took lots of photos, so it took us just over 3.5 hours to complete. Gorgeous views of Clear Lake. The water is uniquely green, blue and aqua depending on the sun and depth of the water. You won’t be disappointed.

It's the closest trail to my house, so it's my go-to whenever I need my "nature fix".

Beautiful this time of year, just be careful in some spots where the dirt is pretty loose.

We did the loop, perfect for a beautiful October afternoon. the quiet forest and occasional glimpses of Tumalo Creek made for a lovey afternoon saunter.

What a great trail! Off the beaten path which I loved. The trail loops around and leads down to Wychus Creek which is spectacular! One helpful note... to stay on the trail that leads down to creek there is a sharp right turn about 1/8 mile before the sign for Wychus Creek. It’s not obvious but it’s marked for horses as well. Thankfully another hiker told us about it.

Awesome hike! First time on this trail but will definitely go back. If you follow the trail around the perimeter of the lake it comes in right at 5 miles....took us about 2 hours. We did this hike today...gorgeous fall colors and spectacular weather. I’ve never seen water so clear before....and the submerged tree stumps still standing from the volcanic damming of the McKenzie river make looking into the water even more amazing. Definitely recommend hiking the trail counterclockwise otherwise you may miss the views of the 3 Sisters from the north end of the lake (if you go clockwise they will be to your back)....they will come into view shortly after you go past the northern most point of the lake on your return to the Clear Lake Resort parking area and trailhead. This is a very easy hike and one well worth the time!

very easy great swimming spot

Gorgeous fall colors of the leaves contrasting with the surreal blue of the ice cold lake water. Easy hike, almost flat, about 6 miles. It was a bit crowded even on a Friday early morning and parking can get challenging.

Very peaceful hike. We started at the fish hatchery and hiked about 3 miles down river , crossed over a bridge and hiked another 3 miles on the other side of the river. Beautiful scenery but there is no waterfall on this hike. We saw a trickle of water coming out of the side of the river but not what we would a waterfall. Still a pretty hike though.

Wonderful trail! 7miles out and back. Pretty easy hike, mostly flat the entire time. Dogs loved it as well! You follow the river for majority of the hike with beautiful views of the river and mountains. People also mountain bike on this trail. You can also just drive to the falls by following the road to the every end. (Lost of cars parked there) The falls were amazing!! Breath taking!! You can get very close to them and potentially even underneath them, but we did not try. We did the hike the first week of October:) highly recommend!

Beautiful hike at any season. This is a gorgeous and unusual lake. Just hiked this during Fall and it was beautiful lit up with color against the blue of the lake. Hike is longer than reported (about 7 mi/not 4.5). The trail seems a little different than when I hiked it 15y ago. Maybe it was rerouted. Watch out for bees.

Really gorgeous views of the river while heading to the falls, especially when combined with the colors of autumn.
It was an easy hike so poles aren't really needed.
I'd never seen a falls where it does a 90 degree turn - Loved it.

pleasant easy walk

Beautiful waterfalls and an easy hike to see all of them. This one I ranked lower only because it gets pretty congested with many other hikers and dodging the bikes get challenging. Road to trailhead is gravel but no problems navigating around the occasional pothole. Parking is a problem if you don’t get there early.

great easy walking path, really fun if you want to enjoy the fall colors. however, reiterating what others have said - this trail does NOT take you to the Tumalo Falls.

This trail is basically a walk through Shevlin Park. Still very nice!

Great trail for walking, running, biking, picnicking. Mostly nestled along the water, and surrounded by trees. Tons of butterflies and little critters, and not as many people as I was expecting to see.

My only disappointment is that hike does NOT, I repeat, does NOT lead to a waterfall. After asking a few people I came across, it sounds like the waterfall is a few miles past the end of the trail. Still a great experience though!

It is a great place to walk with the water along the trails, and also to enjoy that cover bridge . Please go before bridge is taken down.

Stunning hike on a Fall day. I'll be back to go kayaking next Summer.

Nice! Great little fall hike.

Loved it. Easy, safe to do on my own. Love the water but hold on to your pets and kids as there are sheer 200 fr drops at the view areas for upper Falls.

Fairly easy hike, with some moderately steep parts, but overall barely broke a sweat. Worth the short trek! Incredibly beautiful waterfall, with many small swimming spots. Didn’t fish, but could see lots of large trout swimming around. Also, looks like there are nice camping spots just down the dirt street from the trailhead.

Hiked in September with my dog and really enjoyed it. Easy to moderate with a few rough spots but overall very nice. You will want to use a trail shoe for traction as the dusty trail can be a bit slippery the slanted portions .
