Amazing hike!! Would highly recommend! It rained off and on the whole time but it made it even more beautiful.

Really amazing hike, had so much fun! Amazing views and a great workout. The first stretch was the hardest but after the first mile or two it still gained quite a bit in elevation but was pretty easy. The whole loop took about 3 hours with breaks to watch the rock climbers, loved it!

The only reason I gave it four stars was due to getting to the trail head. If you love to rough up your vehicle then by all means travel the last 5 miles up there early spring with pot holes the size of a car. BUT! Totally worth it. The pools and streams where beautiful and still recommend the hike

Great hike! Went last year, and plan on going again soon. Good hike to take kids, we even took one of those big wheeled child stroller’s. Much is a road. Ppl in the town are pretty friendly and it’s interesting to see how their energy set up runs.

One of my favorite short hikes. The falls and pool are beauriful. Be sure to go when the runoff is at its peak.

Wife and I just did the loop yesterday. Beautiful walk. There were a lot of families along the trail and it seemed like even the young kids weren’t having any issues. Well maintained, well marked. We were prepared for a much more difficult hike, but all of the falls and the forest were such a great atmosphere that we really enjoyed ourselves. Casual walk, stopping for photos, a lunch break, and to converse with some folks- the whole thing took 3.5 hours.

A great family friendly hike. You can hike different sections if you are crunched for time or the whole Loop. I've done both ways several times. It does get very busy in the late spring and summer. Best time to enjoy it is on a weekday- less busy.

I wouldn't recommend this to avid hikers, but it's perfect for families and people who don't want a super strenuous hike or to have to go out into the wilderness. For someone who hikes/backpacks as a hobby, it was a nice walk through a park and if I remember correctly much of it is paved, so it's hard to call it a true hike. Physically felt more like 2.5 miles total. Still quite lovely, just depends on what you are in the mood for and it's a perfect place to introduce kids to hiking and nature!

Easy hike, and very beautiful. Went yesterday and got there at 6am, only saw a small group of people as we got back to our car. I recommend going early to beat the crowd. Quite a bit of snow still on the ground, but I managed to go through easily with a pair of nikes.

The perfect spot for a long walk and lots of waterfalls. We took our time and hiked this easy loop for about 3 hours.

My best gal pal and her two kids did this hike no problem last weekend 3/11 and the weather was absolutely perfect, the trail is beautiful but some very muddy spots I advise you to wear hiking boots.

Amazing trail. Loved it. We loved the cove at the far end of the beach. Definitely coming back. It is muddy and can get very slippery.

I am 50 years old had a heart attack in June of 2017. And we made it up and thru the whole trail. Don’t kid yourself, it’s difficult but beautiful. It was awsome

Beautiful hike, think the distance was about 8.5 miles, but certainly didn't feel like that when there's beautiful waterfalls to see so frequently. Some parts of the trail were pretty muddy, so my waterproof hiking boots were appreciated (leave the runners at home)

Love this place! So beautiful.

Beautiful views and great workout!

I like this place because the waterfalls are pretty and they have a nice picnic area but ONLY if you go w/o a dog will you be able to enjoy going under the falls and the other fun trails because they aren't allowed. so if you have one you'll be stuck on only 1 trail that doesn't have very much scenery except trees and the road and maybe a top of a waterfall here and there it gets kinda BLAH after a while.

The water here is the prettiest blue to turquoise.

Amazing views on an easy hike. Lots of other people and plenty of mud, but a must see if you arent familiar with the area.

I brought our middle school hiking club here. all were very happy. Some good challenging spots for the novice hikers and lots of natural beauty. trails we're muddy in spots as one would expect this time of year. and there were LOTS of other hikers on the trail. A great hike!

Great hike but can get crowded. I always like an early start.

Couldn’t get my sportwagen through the snow today unfortunately but looks like a beautiful area! Going to try again in a month or so

Beautiful, short hike over packed snow. Family friendly and definitely worth it. Expect snow until mid March.

does anyone know someone to contact for a reopen date of this trail?

Great trail, well crafted. I hiked the full loop Feb 27, and found most of the ice has thawed making it much easier.

I did it today in 1 hr 38 min a quick pace taking time at each photo op but jogging some of it too. Trail was fine the upper ( north ) end was packed snow but most was just wet trail ( not too muddy. My first time doing the whole loop - there are a couple sections where you walk for a ways w/o a falls but it’s a nice river canyon all the way . Trail well crafted.

HIKE: Late February, on a sunny day.

BEST PART: A dozen huge deer gathered in form for several minutes of our hike, just to eat and stare from the tree ridge about 1.2 miles in or so. This is before the wrap around of one of the creeks, where the elevation changes the most. It was beautiful to watch them move with the hills, and wait on each other.

It was muddy, but gorgeously armed with a amazing forest. Quite passable trail for even probably an ameteur. We went on a sunny day. Moderate does describe this hike RT though. The trail runs down the last few thousand feet on a very easy descent to the beach, all of it is worth it!

Aim for a full hour long hike of 2.1 miles, so you can get out there BEFORE high tide. The trail begins to the left of the upper parking lot restrooms, clearly labeled "Crescent Beach Trailhead," however its not 1.25 miles. There are 2 creeks/waterfalls, and the correct trail brings you out in the beach in between both of them.

The caves are accessible at low tide, play safe, drink plenty of fluids. I personally take B-Vitamins, Vitamin Water and Herbal Kratom 2 hours before a hike. Energy plus electrolytes plus pain-free.

February 26, 2018 Monday

We started the trail at the south falls trailhead and conditions were great. Only saw two other people on a Monday mid day, and the south falls were fantastic and right off the lodge area so it’s an immediate viewpoint if you want to see some amazing falls without going the distance. You can loop back to the entrance or continue to the 10 falls trail. The nice thing about this “long walk” is you have multiple areas to cut back to the main parking area by south falls if you don’t want to hike the whole 7miles.
Conditions were very clear, good traction throughout most of the loop and suitable for all ages. The stairs leading down to the Lower South Falls did have some icy patches so do use caution, and Winter Falls ironically had the only real snow cover that was a little slick but not dangerous by any means. Just wear good shoes that can get wet and warm clothes because the falls get you a little wet!
Overall a stunning trip and I highly recommend this to anyone.

Awesome hike. Soft on your feet and beautiful trees. The view of the pool is incredible from above. Really cold water. Heavy trafficked trail

who's doing a 12 mi loop?? drop a car in Ecola and rally at pelican then get your car in seaside later.
