Beautiful waterfall and a nice leisurely walk along a wide path. Plenty of parking and many other trails to explore if you feel like venturing off. Quiet area and peaceful.

I appreciate the review that told about the boulders—that was tremendously helpful!! Nice hike and lovely falls. Really enjoyed this early morning hike.

We hiked this with our 2 dogs and it was an easy route! The path starts on the south end of the parking lot and looks like a dirt vehicle path. Stay on that for a bit until you see 2 boulders with a narrower, rustic path to your left, that leads into the woods. That path climbs a bit and then drops down and you go through 2 more boulders where is joins another path. Stay to the left on that path and to the next, where you will make a left again. Eventually, you come to signage for Wintergreen falls and follow that to the waterfall.

Very easy trail to hike on a afternoon. Trail visibly marked no need for gps or any stress!

Easy hike. Falls were running full. Great place to picnic on the big rocks while looking at the falls.

Nice, easy hike. Once again enjoyed this park with my two year old on my back. He liked exploring around the old fire tower structure. I recorded this to be 4.4 miles when using "Map My Run", but I did start and end at the additional parking lot, and used the connector trail.

Easy, nothing special because you’re always in the woods and there’s no “view” to enjoy

I think moderate is accurate. I carried my two year old in a child carrier on my back, and we went counter clockwise. This put the more technical stuff first. The home stretch back to the parking lot was pretty much nice and easy. Like others have said, there isn’t a mind blowing look out or waterfall, but it was a nice shaded hike for me and the little fella to do. At the creek crossing, we saw a a few crawfish in the water which he thought was cool.

This is unquestionably a bike trail, no where near a hike. The majority of the paved path is adjacent or eye shot away from the main roads. This is definitely more enjoyable if biked and stopped along the way at the quaint areas, like Traveler’s Rest for food and drink. Overall this path is more about the distance and less about the scenery.

nice easy trail

Beavers sometimes flood parts of the trail making the area almost “ancient.”

Nice easy hike. No view just a circle but food for trail running and exercise

Both the pup and I really enjoyed this quick hike. Definitely steep enough to warrant the moderate rating. Only saw one rattlesnake. :/

We chose this trail because it was rated ‘easy’ on this app and we had a 3.5 year old and a 7 year old with us. Even though they did pretty well, this trail was NOT easy. The park map labels the first section of the trail from the parking lot ‘moderate’ and the second part of the trail ‘difficult’. The waterfall was lovely but a little hidden. The trail itself was rocky and had some steep inclines at points. We used the directions from this app to get to the parking lot and the trail head. Directions were good. However, make sure to also use this app to find your way to Wintergreen Falls bc it is not labeled on the way down the trail in the park, until about half way in. Overall decent hike, but again, NOT ‘easy’.

my favorite fall at Dupont.

I did it counter-clockwise. The downhill part at the beginning (the foot-traffic only trail) was actually very challenging on the knees and toes, but my body was thanking me when I was able to do the gradual return hike up instead. It was a nice hike, no spectacular over looks or water views, but still relaxing. Only saw one biker on this Friday early afternoon.

It was very easy & mostly pine needles & sand which made it nice after a rough rocky hike yesterday & great spot to take my 2 dogs along. Only ran into one other couple & one mountain biker the entire 6 mile loop

Moderate for sure, although steep and lots of roots to trip you up along sections. Great place to use hiking poles. For about 60% of the trail, you share it with mountain bikers. Takes about an hour or so.

Biked today and only encountered 2 groups. The first thought the loop was only 1 mile  the next 3 mile. We set them straight much to their dismay. Great trail for MBing. 5.94 from parking lot back to PL went left (north) at first split and followed orange blazes. The first split is just a few hundred feet from PL after creek crossing. Several free crosses and bridges. Most were too narrow to ride across (we are beginners on MBs). North side is mostly all down hill or flat and south side same. Halfway point is wide bridge and large camping area with big rock fire pit. Took us about 2.5 hours. Not bad for 55 and 54 newbies to MBing. Definitely would do again!!!!!!!!

Was a nice hike. Kids had fun playing in the water.

Had a blast on the trail today with my wife, very easy ridding. Many spots are in the open sun so wear sunscreen like we didn’t XD

Secluded beautiful waterfall - the trail was a little boring for kids, but easy.

Enjoyed this hike a lot. Only came across three other groups of hikers so we pretty much had it all to ourselves. There are a lot of tree roots to navigate through the first half of the hike and there was a lot of muddy areas but the wild flowers were worth it.

Great hike! easy but little long. May not have great views but scenery changes often. Lots of thing to walk over (bridges, rocks even walk across a tree trunk). I went with my dog and she loved it. I especially liked she was able to cool off at all the water spots. It was very quiet. Not a lot of traffic. Think I came across 5 groups in total. At the trail head I started left and it seemed to work well. I will definitely be going on this hike again!

I love cycling from Kroc Center to TR you can stop at Furman along way and eat lunch in downtown TR.
Great for all levels of cyclists however if novice be sure to pay attention and stay to right. Many experienced cyclists use trail and on weekends very busy.
