This is my favorite trail!!! Always clean. Everyone is so friendly. Almost everyone has their dogs there! Beautiful scenery, great spots for pictures!!!

It was a beautiful trail, but poorly and confusingly marked. Even using the map here on Alltrails, somehow I wound up only going 2.3 miles. I suspect I missed a turn somewhere. More flashes, like in the state parks, would be helpful--

Very safe during the day. Family friendly. Love forest park!

Great trail, lots of shade. Good when you want to get in a quick hike.

Definitely would recommend, trail can get confusing. Easy to walk and even good if you wanted to run it!

Nice trail!

We happened to hit this trail the day of a trail race. Everything was super well marked for the runners, and we had a cheering section when we finished!

Views of the Missouri along the bluffs were nice - bet they’d be even prettier in the spring or fall!

very shaded hike with a lot of butterflies and a few decent views. The trail is full of spider webs if you take the Lewis at the fork but still a nice hike

Can someone fix the website....The directions address is not right...it takes you to 94 Shaw Ct, which is a cul-de-sac off of Page Ave. The map itself is right, which is crazy, but the address is wrong on the directions link. :(

This is one of the most scenic urban park that I've ever seen. The grand basin area in particular is amazing which overlook the art museum. The attractions in this park, the art museum and zoo are a must see destination if you're in St Louis. I find the history museum a bit of a bore though.

Great intensity!

Poorly marked trails and my dog and I were both covered in seed ticks even with bug spray on. Not a fun day.

Really nice trail that is convenient to St. Louis (and close to the burbs). I went trail running today, in the midst of hot and humid Missouri summer. The trail was perfectly shady with off-shoots to view the river from the bluffs. I ran the 5.3ish Clark trail and only had to walk partly up one ascent so the hills were reasonable for an experienced runner and a nice work out. The trail narrows near the fork between the two trails but was easy to navigate. I found the signage acceptable knowing to keep an eye out for trail markers. The trail was not terribly busy mid-Saturday morning but the parking lot was full. Highly recommend!

There are several fallen trees you have to navigate around and the signage is not great. Otherwise, it’s a gorgeous and shaded hike with views of the river below.

If you go right at the start there's a nice .75 miles with a lot of elevation although not too steep - a couple gradual switcbacks. the rest is mostly flat and beautiful terrain. no bluffs, no streams, although a nice Creek at the end.

a mini favorite ..great for a quick brisk mostly shady walk when you have only a little time

Lovely hike for a mid-summer hike! The trail was balanced with both hills and flat areas. The trail is gravel/dirt and narrow with overgrown brush in areas. Most of the trail is shaded. We saw countless elk, deer, and turkey along the trail. At times we had to take an alternate route to avoid disturbing the wildlife on the trail. We inspected ourselves after the hike and found we were covered in hundreds of seed ticks on us despite DEET insect repellent. We drove through the bison area but didn’t have any sightings. We will return again soon!

I ran just over 19 miles of this segment of the trail. Not the most exciting, but it is flat and offers a mix of small town and rural scenery with a couple views of the river.

nice! lots of spider webs...watch your step. I will be wearing hiking boots and fully covered..blue jean trail.. I started yellow..ended dogwood..narrow hiking trails where hikers only are permitted.. and came to the broken bridge...had to pull myself up and out in a not easy way... Lol..
fix the bridge please...more hikers makes easy to follow trails.. need of love.. it is a lovely place! :)

Excellent mix of terrains. Ranges from easily runnable sections to difficult rocky inclines. Liked the fact that it was tree-covered and shaded. Great views of the river. Had a great run out there and will come back the next time I’m in town.

beautiful trail. Lots of covered trail and mostly paved. it's got maybe 2 or 3 hills but nothing difficult. it's really beautiful and not a lot of traffic. very peaceful

This park is great for easy bike riding ! Beautiful and interesting! There’s even soft drink vending and rest rooms

One of my girlfriend and I's favorite place to go :) Lots of views and you can see alot of deer on the lower levels. highly recommend for anyone, friendly for all ages

First hike, great experience! Panoramic views. We started at the east and ascended via the stairs. They are well maintained and really get the blood pumping. A few more inclines made for a great hike. Cooled down with the Meramec river trail.

First 1/4 to 1/2 mile a little tough but rest of trail easy enjoyable
