Challenging terrain but well worth the effort! 360 degree views from the top. Mt. Rainier, Lake Kachess, 3 Queens, Mt. Stuart and more. Bring bug spray!

Definitely moderate took about an hour from the parking area to the lake, it was a beautiful day! Highly recommend this hike!

Very busy trail. Got there about 8 and the parking lot was filling up already. Gorgeous trail! There’s a primitive toilet at the end of the trail. Not sure what to make of it but people use it haha.

Cloudy so we couldn’t see across the lake but it was a fun hike that wasn’t too easy and wasn’t too hard

Gorgeous trail. I do have a water shoe from someone who dropped it along the road up. If it is your, comment/message the brand and we'll get it back to you!

Get there early! Beautiful hike. Not over crowded in the early morning. When we left at 1pm, the parking lot was packed! Trail was quite enjoyable.
Also don’t forget bug spray.

Spectacular view of the lake and a nice workout. 1hr 45 min up to overlook (3+mi) and 1hr 20 min down. Lots of bugs. I wore bug spray and still got a couple of bites. I didn’t see a bathroom. Will definitely go again and head down to the lake next time.

Great hike as always!!! A lot of bugs this time , don’t stop or you will get bit. 7/17/18

best trail we have hiked this year.

Fantastic hike! The views from the top are stunning and the mailbox truly is iconic. We went up and back on the new trail and my watch clocked it at a bit over 11 miles. This seems to be a trend for this hike, but I'm not sure. Would still highly recommend, just know what you're getting yourself into. That being said, the trail is incredibly well maintained, making it easy to hike--especially towards the top/steepest part.

Trail is good, but watch out for pothole "minefield" on the way up/down the 1.5 mi Mt Pilchuck Access Road to the trailhead! Go very slowly, and even then it's impossible to avoid the masses of scattered potholes. Pray for your car.

Not too much variety in scenery...good workout, and well maintained trail but no views until the top.

Wonderful view today. Perfect conditions! If you have not done this one yet, put this one on your to-do list!

Nice hike! The rocks on the switchback can be kind of difficult to maneuver if you’re not wearing boots. Lots of people were wearing tennis shoes but I wouldn’t recommend it - especially since there’s still snow on the trail to the lake that’s pretty slippery. Come early to beat the crowds.

We did this hike after Denny Creek Trail and when comparing the 2 trails, made this one feel so much easier. It took 1.5 hours to the top and decided not to do the hike down to the lake - it was pretty snowy/muddy and we didn't have the right hiking shoes on. It probably would've taken another hour out and back to lake if we wanted to go. The peak of this trail provides amazing views of Snow Lake

Very pretty home, forest pass required.
The snow on the lake is starting to melt.

Great hike. Hard at the end but totally word it. Breathtaking views.

it was great hiking and you will find it really hard. but after reaching on the top you won't regret at all. its amazing view. stay hydrated is the most important thing and keep some food with you.

Pretty gradual with switch backs the whole way. The whole trail is shaded. took me about 3.5 hours I believe.

Hiked this July 9th, trail in was clear but still a fair amount of snow at Rampart. The largest lake is still over half covered in snow/ice. Mesquites are out in force so take repellent. Warm during the day and not very cold at night. Water is crystal clear. I just absolutely love this place.

This trail was great. It was very rocky all the way to the lake, but the view was worth it. For newcomers, it’s a hike uphill almost the entire way to the lake. If you’re not going over rock which is most of the trail, you are going over roots. The lake is worth the uphill trek. You might think about bringing sandwiches and having a picnic at the top.

The Mount Si trail is a decent trail to hike. There are minimal scenic views throughout the trail because it’s mainly wooded. When you get to the top of the trail you finally get to see mountain and valley views. If you want the best seat in the house, go around to the back side of haystack and make the climb up. It’s a little challenging and should be done with caution, But if you make it to the top of haystack it makes the boring first hour and a half of the hike worth it.

Nice trail, not too long and not too short. very crowded though.

Trail was well maintained and much less traveled than the other nearby hikes. The views of North Bend, Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier at the top were well worth the 3200' elevation gain.

Love that it’s consistently steep and mostly shaded. The opening at top to panoramic views is an epic payoff.

Nice hike. Lots of people on a Sunday. Go early to beat the crowd. The trail is mostly rocky. There was no snow till the view point. Some snow on the trail if you go further for lake access.

We got to the trailhead around 9am. The parking lot was already starting to fill up. We hiked up to Snow Lake and attempted to descend but there was still too much snow and we didn’t have the proper equipment. On our return, we took the trail to Source Lake and enjoyed seeing the waterfalls. The views from the side of Source Lake were amazing!
