Watched the sunrise over horseshoe bend this week. Absolutely amazing. Very few people there at that time, but by the time he sun came up it was packed already. Recommend going early.

Definitely one of the best trails I have ever done. Unfortunately we had gone on a day that was forecast to rain throughout the day and it was a bad decision since we didn’t have much rain-proof gear, so it was cold and wet. Nevertheless, the views were 10/10 and would definitely go back again on a sunny day. There’s not much incline but it is a decent distance to the end of the trail and the stream crossings definitely slow you down but makes for an interesting hike.

Crowded and people get too close to the edge, but pretty

A good loop trail. Boots required and a pole (or two) is handy. We followed the advice of returning hikers and began at the Marshall Gulch trailhead to the right of the bathrooms (marker reads "Marshall Gulch #3"). After a gradual shady ascent on a mica laden trail, you reach the trail intersection. Turn left onto the Aspen Trail. Big views of the basin and range emerge ahead, along with some steep down hill sections before returning to the picnic area parking lot. Parking is limited.

Beautiful trail!

Went up when it was frozen over with some friends. It's tough getting up and back down with all the snow, but so worth it. Some people hike up and sled / snowboard down. You get to walk around on a big frozen lake once you make it all the way. Really awesome.

Loved it, not a lot of people around. Will definitely do this again.

Absolutely gorgeous hike. Creek was a little difficult to navigate as the water was high after a rain but we did it! (We’re new to hiking, age 62). We thoroughly enjoyed this.

LOVE this trail! It's long and somewhat challenging with the ever present incline. The scenery was amazing. The trail was very dog friendly. Definitely worth going all the way to Massacre Rock. The trail does get pretty narrow in places and a little steep here and there but nothing above a moderate rating. We did lose the trail once and got started down a different trail going the wrong direction so use your map if you can. There were many places where the trail would split and meet again on the other side of a rock. Bring lots of water and sunscreen. We did not see any waterfalls but could tell where there would be waterfalls if there had been heavy rain. Everyone we met on the trail seemed very friendly. Definitely plan to go back.

Pictures just don't do justice. This place is beautiful regardless of crowds! just be patient bc there are tons of people trying to take cool pictures. it's all in good fun!

Awesome find! We went around 1pm and only saw two other people on the trail. Follow the tips from the review below. When you are close to the top there will be a turn off. The trail itself is very easy and I really didn’t think the ledge to get to the cave was scary at all. It was wide enough to walk. The cave itself has such breathtaking views. Enjoy!

Fun, beautiful, adventurous! This was an ideal morning hike. The hike was challenging and fun, requiring lots of rock climbing. The lookouts were worth the effort!

Fun day hike! Only downside would be the amount of dog poop everywhere.

Starts off super easy , flat with beautiful views of superstition mtn and a forest of lovely saguaros. But the BEST part is broadway cave for sure ! Beautiful outlook. NOT high trafficked so makes it even better

The last portion of this trail is steep and has a TON of loose rocks ! Go at your own risk since not maintained

*free parking *

A little snow but mostly dry trails. I was hoping for more views but it was a great hike.

Great view from the cave. Starts of easy and gets difficult as you ascend up to the cave.

Fun trail, easy to moderate. Good views

Sunday March 4th 1:30-3:30pm
My biggest advice to anyone is to either do this hike early in the morning or late late afternoon. It is extremely crowded and for the best experience possible, do it on an “off” time. Beautiful vistas and stunning scenery this is a short but moderately strenuous climb in the sense that it is mostly up. Lots of great areas for breaks, and it is absolutely suitable for all ages. I’d suggest wearing good footwear because the rock is a little slippery. A great climb.

Love this trail. The temperature was perfect in this first weekend of March. There was a lot of snow on the ground which was a really cool contrast with the creeks and the rocks and the trees.

Beautiful trial along the creek side. The end gets a bit more difficult with rock scrambling but worth it! Trail was pretty iced over but still passable. Very enjoyable with the dogs!

Great trail. Challenging at times. The distance is way off. 6.64 miles to the base of the falls. Even without water at the falls it is a good hike. At a couple spots it was difficult to find the direction of the trail but if you pay attention not too bad. Will be back out here again for sure!

Very easy, beautiful hike. If you’re looking for something non strenuous and short this is a good one. Fun to sled down the hill in the winter too!

This hike was amazing with absolutely beautiful scenery, lots of red rock and stunning views.

Nice hike with great view. Went on a weekday and not busy. Easy side of moderate with a steady gradual incline. Decent overgrowth in some areas. Great for dog paws, just watch for cholla. No facilities at trailhead. Dirt road to trailhead was no issue.

Wonderful walk with amazing views. Some rocky footing, but not too bad. Enough up and down to keep it interesting.

Great hike. Spectacular views!!
