Snow and slippery conditions after about 1.2 miles up. Microspikes recommended. Mucky mud too, but it was only really bad in a couple of spots. Winter is coming! Still a great hike, lovely view of the pines topped with snow much of the way up. Walking slower since I didn't have spikes, it took me 2 hours up and 1 hour down with a short break at the overlook.

Lovely hike. So beautiful the entire way to the Falls, and the Falls themselves are awesome.

Love Sundance and Stewart Falls.

Super fun
Great work out with family

Very beautiful. We saw two moose, ducks, and a woodpecker. Definitely steep for the first half.

It was an ok trail.
Not much to see.
we'll find a better hiking spot next time.
$3.00 to hike it.
The dogs enjoyed.

Lol... this one is steeper than some rated hard on here. It’s just short. I’d say this is moderate, because of the steep part. It’s really not hard, but still a lot steeper than some others rated lower. Decent view.

This is a great trail. a small climb up to the Bonneville shoreline trail then it really evens out for a while while meanders the contour of the ancient Lakeshore. I took slightly different track to the point below the peaks and get back up on a trail along the peak face. I like this trail because of the sweeping views of downtown and the valley.

Amazing views and the fall colors were breathtaking. We had an amazing day.

Great hike! Nice elevation so it’s just enough of a little workout. Amazing view at the end!

Save yourself from crowds of people and all the things that come with that and do this hike during the week and early in the day to refresh your spirit in the outdoors. This is a fun hike to a great falls.

We went to perfect timing with fall leaves and weather. At the top (waterfall) , it can get cold so we were glad we had a good jacket (next time I will bring gloves for my kids hand). Good thing we had a friend who knew exactly where to find the location, it can get little tricky off HWY 89. We started to hike around 3:30pm and were able to catch the sunset by 7pm. It is dog friendly but little kids may need help to go all the way. Even if you don’t go all the way, it is fun to bring family there. I was told every season this hike is different. Probably not in mid summer where it can get really hot (unless hiking in the early morning). Can’t wait to return back again.

Took my nieces and nephews (ages 8, 9, 12, &13) on this family-friendly hike. The trail gently rolls up and down until the final descent to the falls. It took us 2 hours roundtrip going at a very leisurely pace and with about 20 minutes down at the falls. This trail is not strenuous at all and is very beautiful, especially in the fall.

Incredible hike through a wonderful Aspen forest. The lake is worth the hike. So peaceful. We talked with a local or two who said that this is a great place to spot moose. Sadly we didn’t see any. We did the hike with a 7 year old and were from Louisiana. Great hike for beginners. When you get to the Y in the trail the left path is a bit easier terrain.

Loved this hike fall colors were great there was
a lot of moose activity
I think the AllTrails description of
“lightly trafficked “ is off I would call it moderate to heavy and it was a Monday night when I went I can’t imagine what it looks like on the weekend.
I will be back love this area

Really loved this hike! The aspens are so beautiful in their fall colors. Leaves have fallen onto the evergreens, making them look like Christmas trees with gold lights. Then at the lake we saw two moose! A word of caution...the trail is not marked once you go up. If you aren't careful coming down you could end up away from your car. Look for a fork to the left to go back down to the Willow Heights trailhead.

Great easy trail, make sure to do this one during the golden hour. The hills are beautiful as the sun sets.

This is a fairly quick hike that is easily enjoyable. Nothing too strenuous, and it provides beautiful views. The falls are a bit low in autumn, but still fun to hike to. It's a bit busier than a lot of other trails in the canyon though.

Nice short trail, great for trail running!

Absolutely beautiful with the fall colors.

Hike was great. It’s pretty short (I did not think it was steep as other reviews were) and my kids did great! Probably took 30-40 min with many stops for breaks to get up. Very pretty this time of year

Loved this hike today! Refreshing and beautiful!

Enjoyable family adventure! Would’ve loved to have come across some wildlife. No moose sighting! Beautiful fall colors. Bit of a climb going in, and the 3 year old had a great time sliding his way back out. We recommend!

Bring a change of socks if you don't want squish foot. This is worth the climb.

Wonderful hike. A little technical in some places.

Very nice short hike.

Really nice, quick hike to a lake. Beautiful fall colors and saw two moose.

amazing trail if you need something to kick your butt. the first little section is a bit awful just because of the dust and switchbacks but once you're past those, it's all beautiful and shady! dogs are free to roam off the leash and mine loves all the water along the way.

Did this hike yesterday after hiking down from Red’s Summit Trail. It is a moderate hike that is best early in the day before it gets too crowded at the falls.
