The Rim Trail is a good hike with lots of short offshoots that give you great views. My wife and our 2 year old daughter hiked it. My daughter rode in a jogging stroller the entire length. We hiked a little over 4 miles of the trails. Very Scenic and a good hike. I know these reviews are very subjective but I gave it 3 stars because I felt the day use fee was high, which was needed to park in the park. $8. I know it's a small amount to pay for a nice hike but most other places were half as much, or free. The other reason for 3 stars was that I felt the different trails and offshoots were not marked very well on the ground. The map we were provided was great, but the signs on the trail were a little confusing and I wasn't sure much of the time where we were in the park or whether we had taken the right branch. Other than those things, it is a beautiful hike.

So beautiful! A must see!

Beautiful, peaceful, easy hike! Well worth the drive back to the trailhead. My husband and I did this hike at 0900 and were the only ones around. Wear waterproof shoes/sandals as your feet will get wet. They filmed a scene from The Lost World Jurassic Park here if that excites you as well.

Great trail and nice workout. Edgewood features some really nice views, a variety of types of terrain and easy alternative paths in case you want to adjust your hike for ease/more tree cover. Definitely wear sunblock and bring a bottle of water as it can be on the warm side during the summer. Also note that there is a good amount of poison oak to the sides of the trail. Nothing to worry about but be aware. There is a nice parking lot, water filling station and a cute education center at the entrance to the trail too.

Astoundingly beautiful, even though well trafficked. Easy, even for older, less active folks. I suggest water shoes, you'll get your ankles wet unless you can cross the shallow river/creek on a log (easily done if you have someone with you to hold your hand). So worth the drive on a very narrow, sometimes dirt road riddled with blind turns. Loved it!

amazing to hike such great sights!

Beautiful. Great short hike. Only downsides are that access is 8 miles down a bumpy dirt road, and there are a lot of people. At least 30 cars in the parking lot for a 1-mile loop hike.

Fun area! Little crowded but so worth the sites!

beautiful a must see easy hike except to get wet feet

Gorgeous fern canyon, lush and moist.
Super easy hike, try to go early or late as it tends to attract large groups and families. Well worth the crowds though. It’s a unique canyon.

It’s a beautiful trail, loved it.

When I went on this hike on July 14th, the trails were poorly maintained. So much of the grass and brush was overgrown that for 40% of the hike you’re walking on a path a foot wide, with plants scraping at you up to you waist. The trails are also not clearly marked. The trail has little shade as well. The view of the ocean is nice, but the majority of the hike is in overgrown grass, and this view could similarly been seen by driving to an overlook. I would avoid this hike.

it's an easy trail but it's all open ground, so on a moderately hot day, it can get sweaty and tiring if you are not used to going outdoors in hot summer.

Interesting mostly because you are hopping on rocks and logs most of the time. Recommend wearing flip flops or wellies, not hiking shoes.

This trail had a lot of fart touch going on..

Go early and you’ll have entire trail to yourself

Beautiful, easy hike. Lots of water still. Feels like ur in Jurassic Park lol. You can easily extend it and add a more difficulty by way of elevation gain and distance. Small parking lot and the trails get crazy crowded with big groups- beware.

One of the prettiest hikes I’ve done! I went on a Monday to beat the crowds and still shared the trail with lots of people probably with the same idea, but it wasn’t too packed. I took the Fall Creek trail to The Ridge tail and it dumps you back off higher on the Fall Creek trail. The Ridge trail was mostly uphill and a little too strenuous for my kids, but after some complaining we got it done. The scenery can’t be beat! We saw lots of nature including a baby snake and banana slugs.

Beautiful trail in Fall Creek! The lime kilns are somewhat uneventful, but the actual hike up to them is gorgeous. This is moderate because of the fallen trees and other obstacles, otherwise it is somewhat easy, with a mostly wide trail & relatively low elevation change.

A few nice views of the Coast and Ocean. Not a lot of shade so make sure it is a cool day.

great way to see the whole area , this links all the neat littlw areas along one trail , can also get a great view of the campgrounds , and day use areas , get all the views .. fun easy hike

Short but gorgeous trail. Shoes got wet as most of the trail is through a river at the bottom of the canyon (ankle-deep water)

Loved it hiking and camping and fishing was the best!

No water in June, just a little mud. Nice little hike. I’d say closer to the medium side of easy.

I would rate as easy, very beautiful !

Loved it. Hike was easy but wet. It feels like you stepped back in time entering the canyon. Definitely work seeing.

Ah bit crowded, a lot of stuff going on besides nature.

Great for kids. Well maintained. Saw a lot of trail runners too

The canyon is tall and green. It is a must see. Makes me feel like jurassic park. Bring tall wader boots or plan to get wet. If it has rained then you might not be able to even get there. The road is a bit of a challenge if there is bad weather. It might close.

This trail was beautiful! We went at the end of March on a rainy day and the trail was flooded with water. We ended up taking our shoes off and hiking barefoot but the surroundings made it absolutely with it!
