Great hike with wonderful views of DTLA.
Hollywood sign right there to take it all in.
First couple of miles will have you huffing and puffing as it’s a pretty steep incline.
After that you’ll be treated to the views on your way to the sign.
Enjoy!

Very nice easy trail. Restrooms at the interpretive center. Mostly paved except the dirt side trails.

I LOVE THAT YOU CAN BRING DOGS WITH YOU

I had a difficult time finding the entrance to this ‘trail’ tucked in behind a marina. This trail is a paved blacktop road suitable for biking walking or running. The scenery is beautiful, but there is not much shade. Safe place to run, with beautiful views and no traffic.

After 13 years of living in LA I have finally have crossed doing the Runyon hike off my bucket list. It's not necessarily that I was avoiding it, it's just I hate going deep into Hollywood and getting stuck in traffic going back to the Westside. Anyways, this place is GREAT for quick workout. You can walk the trail but you will see alot of people jogging/running, and also doing random exercises. There's usually a good amount of people on this trail and the conversations that you overhear can be so Hollywood and hilarious. I can tell alot of Hollywood entertainment professionals frequent here. This place is very dog friendly as you will notice. Once you get to the top, there is a decent sized park where people sit on the benches and play with their dogs. If I lived in the area I could see myself doing this hike during the week after work. Lots of eye candy here too if you know what I mean.

If you are a looking for a "serious" hike, I wouldn't recommend this but this is a good workout and fun hike that is right in the city.

I loved this trail, but it is not moderate. There are one or two easy sections and the majority of the trail is moderate. But, Camarillo Trail is rated difficult, this is seen on the trail maps that are at the trail. So, how is the trail? Well most of it is double track with probably around 30-40% single track. It has a mix of smooth to rock and technical trails. This means that if you are a beginner to moderate skill level you can ride the trail and walk down and up the parts that you can't. In short, I really enjoyed this trail and I will definitely come back to help me improve until I can clean the whole trail.

Short and sweet but it's a steep incline! I like that it also leads you to the Toovet Trail so you can make it a longer hike that is equally as rewarding.

If you can’t get out to real wilderness this will do in a pinch, it’s a pretty easy trail, but it is VERY crowded and parking is a joke.

It’s quick, all uphill but it’s a clean workout. Grip running shoes are better but I had some simple athletic training shoes on and did fine.

Too many people who spend all morning putting on their face to go hiking. This hike seems more like a fake stars map tour then a hike

This allows dogs- not sure why it says they are not allowed.

Great hike that connects to 3 other trails. It’s a great but hard work out, with awesome views the whole way.

If you like a good inclined track this is it. A place to be seen while getting a great up hill walk. One way of course. There are some great views from up top.

Great hike! It took me about 1.5 hours to do the 4.8 mile loop. I started at 2:30pm on a Thursday and I only saw two other people on the trail. Views from the higher elevations are gorgeous. I was able to see all the way to DTLA. Trails are well marked and the ranger has maps available.

Awesome trail for a great workout

Besides the noise it’s a fun adventure.

Easy walk. You’ll see some horses as you walk.

You guys are full of it this gives you a side view of the sign that’s it

Obviously a popular place to go! Quite a few people sharing the trail on the way in but drops off the further you go in and becomes more secluded. 0 shade so make sure to bring proper sun protection. The hike back up through Rattlesnake Trail is the best part. Some "mini scrambling" and cool places to rest for 5 mins and enjoy the view. Not my favorite hike in the area but still worth the outing :).

Amazing easy trail with great views!

A bit charred still from the fires, and the water level is low, but still a pretty hike and nice loop, away from the hustle and bustle...but not too far so it’s easy to access!

This is a funny trail. Starts with a park, then bunch of stairs so you feel like you’re more on a masochistic walk than a hike, but eventually you get on a trail that leads up the mountain, and then it’s hiking again. Nice climb, pretty 360-degree view of the city from the top.

I love this trail for early morning hikes/workouts on way to work in DTLA. Even by 6:30 am you run into several mostly friendly hikers perhaps doing the same. It’s become my go-to weekday hikes. Whenever I’ve hiked this trail on weekday evenings, I am amazed as to the amount of people just beginning their hikes as late as 8 pm as I am finishing mine. Haven’t been here on a weekend but I am certain it’ll be a crowded place. By the way, stick to the map and stay on the trails and you should get a good workout in 5-5.5 miles under 2 hours.

I love this trail, but the amount of people hanging out here just waiting to spot a celebrity is insane. The foot traffic is nearly as terrible as LA traffic. The upside? So many doggos running free just waiting to be petted! It’s definitely a good hike if you wanna get a good sweat going though.

I ran into Joe Rogan strangling a bear with his bear-hands and when I saw this the Bear noticed me and that made Joe turn to me and the bear Ran off. Joe then nonchalantly turns to me and says, "Sup Dude." then just jogs off into the wilderness. I still can't believe what I saw but this was a great and challenging trail.
