Gorgeous trail and lakes, but SO CROWDED. Even on a Tuesday in mid September.

I loved this trail and the beautiful lake! It is very rocky so make sure you wear hiking boots with ankle support because it would be very easy to twist an ankle. I saw a lot of dogs on the trail, and the bigger dogs seemed to love it but saw some smaller dogs that were really struggling. It also might be a good idea to bring booties for your pups If they have sensitive paws due to the rocks.

This is one of the best hikes in this area - and probably the best day hike. We did this along with Stuart Lake and the mountain views and the water color were breathtaking

This was a nice easy hike that was pretty beautiful the whole way. The waterfalls were gorgeous. We went on 09/09 at like 10am. It was sort of a rainy day which maybe helped as there weren’t too many people. We actually had some time completely alone by the lookouts over the falls which doesn’t sound typical. On the drive in we stopped at the first pullout that had a bathroom. Ended up being a little path to a small waterfall overlook that was nice as well you should check out if you are in the area.

Magical hike through the rainforest. I never tire of how the light flickers in and out and highlights the beauty of these special woods.

A lovely, challenging hike with a stunning reveal at the end. Bring a small picnic to enjoy by the lake. We saw many other hikers and lots of interesting wildlife. Just beautiful.

so gorgeous!

Beautiful hike!!! Pretty rocky. Highly recommend hiking boots with good ankle support. Make sure you continue down to lake once you get to the lookout. Will absolutely go again!!

One of my favorite hikes in the PNW. It's a very popular trail, so get there early. Leave yourself at least 5 hours to complete the trail, but give yourself more time if you want to stay at the lake for a bit. Try to go on a sunny day as the water looks a brighter shade of blue in the sunlight.

This is an amazing hike worth every step. I highly recommend this trail.

The most beautiful hike!

Cute trail, great for families. The map here is somewhat misleading as it does not start at the “official” trailhead. And the trail is not 2.8 miles, more like maybe a mile and a half round trip. I think there is a newer entry in the app for this trail called the Whistler Trainwreck Trail via Sea to Sky — that one has the correct trailhead marked which is actually easy to find. There’s even a small parking area for the trail (on Jane Lakes Road.) Basically, from the 99, go south on Cheakamus Lake Road (by the Whistler Interpretive Forest), keep right to Legacy Road (for a short distance) then to Jane Lakes Road. You will see a small parking area shortly, and the trailhead will be near a stop sign.

when I arrived the tea house I realized there was no view from this level.
Most of the ascent to the tea house was in the woods and there was a little view all the way.
The only view is from the little beehive that was 1km ascend.

As mentioned previously, lots of options as far as trails to the top. Easy access to parking and a restroom at the lookout. looking forward to spending time there this winter.

This hike is really crowded but the views are great and the tea house is lovely. You can help out the tea house by bringing down trash bags to help them out.

Very nice hike, you have a great view on Lake Louise and pass Mirror Lake before arriving at Lake Agnes.

Beautiful. After finishing the ascent and going down around the back end and going down the first two switchbacks, and having the lake come into view down below, it was amazing.

The hike wasn't too bad. Lots of rocks throughout, and the beginning of the trail from the trailhead, and at the end of the ascent were the hardest.

Overall, I thought it was completely worth it. Just so beautiful. Make sure you leave early so there aren't that many crowds, or during the week.

Found this hike on accident. I went on a Tuesday so there was no body the whole time! the lake was beautiful and the trail was very easy to stay on!

Great little hike! The train wreck is really neat. Instead of following the man made path, you can cut down to the river and follow a dirt trail that has a some pretty sweet views of the river/cliffs. Parking is really easy and straightforward if you follow this site: https://www.whistler.com/pdf/maps/whistler-hiking-trail-head-map.pdf. Trail head is well labeled.

backing.... it was my first time with my husband, and absolutely loved it!!! I’ve hiked snow many times and never get tired of the lakes! 9-6-19

its a. busy hike ..it is a little smoky still but nice ..p.s if u want to take an alternative route down thats quieter take the horse trail down..its muddy but super quiet ....

This hike was awesome! The hike to the lake was not too bad at all, and the view when you got there was amazing!

Sad to see this trail so crowded, can do with high heels on as the trail is much easier than years ago. Didn’t see any rangers , outhouses stink and even the area around middle lake near outhouses smells like urine. Overcrowded parking lots and the experience now “speaking for myself” is a major turnoff in the summer months.
Suggest going in the off season mid-week. Views are spectacular just minus the huge amount of people and slinky outhouses.

We arrived at 9.10 on Thursday morning and the car park was barely 1/3 full. The hike to Upper Joffre was moderately difficult for this 54 year old but certainly doable. It took my husband and I around 75 minutes to make it to Upper Joffre after stopping for many photographs of the spectacular lakes and surrounds along the way.

There are people coming and going from the car park so hang around and wait for someone to leave, it will probably only be a 5 minute or so wait.

A must do hike if you’re in the area - each lake is a beautiful turquoise blue colour.

Beautiful hike! Passed a few people on the trail going in (they were going out) No one was at the Lake. Very peaceful. & No bugs!

Great hike!!!
