I went on 11/3/2018 with my husband, our 7 year old, 3 year old and a friend. You will need to drive over the bridge, park on the left hand side in that little area. Then walk back over and go over the guard rail, there will be a cable with pegs to help you down onto the trail. We had to pick up our kids and carry them down. The trail is very muddy, so I recommend boots instead of tennis shoes. It was a nice hike. There's a couple buildings and a car on the trail. There will be a fork where you can either go up or continue straight on the trail. If you go up there's an old schoolhouse. The bottom part of the trail, we ended up going off the path to the river. There's a little camping spot and then a little beach area where you can get a better view of the river. Overall it was a good hike. Very easy for kids and dogs after you get down from the bridge. This is also a trail for offloading vehicles so be aware. There were several dirt bikes that zoomed past us. **Also, be careful of certain people. There were a couple locals that were trying to get people away from the trail by telling them there were ruins of another town down the road. Several people including ourselves drove the directions they gave us and it lead to a dead end. Also, encountered some angry locals as well on another day that we were at the bridge.

Easy stroll.

Great place to view wildlife... bring your binoculars to view all the different birds

Really good hike. Kid friendly and good balance is sun and shade.

Excellent views during the hike. The hike itself was confusing, we kept going back and forth with the map instructions matching with the sign posts. i gave a 4* cause the restrooms were locked! Overall, we enjoyed but I would definitely advise hikers to plan the route.

We walked this trail on Monday. It was a clean trail with nice scenery, but darkness crept up on us and we ended up getting lost, so we had to go back the way we came. There are a lot of different marked trails so don’t be afraid to go off the trail marked by GPS. It’s definitely getting more and more muddy so be careful!

It was a beautiful fall walk through the woods! We explored through a couple unofficial trails, met some nice dogs, and generally enjoyed the fall colors! The main trail was well maintained and there wasn’t any trash around, so altogether good walking up, down and trough the hills.

One of my favorite places to go for great bird watching year-round.

Falls larger and better than expected

Woods in the middle of the city. boring beach.

Beautiful hike, wet leaf litter and mud near the falls made it a little slow going, but well worth it.

My husband and I did this (we're not in the best shape) and huffed and puffed on the way up but man was it worth it! Great views, lots of beautiful greenery along the way!

Part of the trail was closed. But I will delve going back. My 7 & 6 year old boys loved it. They were amazed by a wood pecker and they didn’t want to leave. Great if you want to look for animals. Bring your binoculars

It's a great trail. We did hike the long trail and walked back via short but difficult rocky trail. the view are amazing.

Awesome hike, and well marked, with great signage

Still couldn't find the Wall after two attempts; don't know what I'm actually looking for either. The walk is nice but was hoping for a destination or a view of something. Still a pleasant piece of Cougar Mountain to experience.

Found a drone controller on Poo Poo point trail (the flat area where you can see Mt Rainier). Please reply or DM me if this is yours with a description of the controller. Trying to make sure it finds its owner.

They’re doing logging near this trail so the trailheads are difficult to find. Got lost a few times due to the trails being cut into different sections with no discernible trail markers. Plus parts of the trail are not well maintained. Not the coolest views either. Just a lot of forest and ferns.

Beautiful walking trails. We went on a crisp sunny autumn day and it really was idyllic! The entrance is steep and parking can be tricky but totally worth it! We brought our dogs and three young children. The pathway is muddy so wear appropriate shoes.

We were able to see a few remains of the town!

Great trail for cardio... did it with the kids 7-12 yrs old... they did get tired, but the end was amazing... we got to see people para gliding.. and some beautiful views.

Nice, easy hike with great views and wildlife. My dog loves it and it’s always a good trip.

Trail is closed until October 1st for logging. A huge disappointment

Spectacular views. Easy run. Not crowded early in the morning and Lots of wildlife. I definitely recommend.

came in on the little mashel falls-bud Blancher trail side. beautiful trail but beware of vicious blue heeler living on the ranch the trail goes by on the right side. my dog was bit and had to turn back. need to try again with out the pup!

I was hoping to see a few spring flowers, but I guess it's too early. Trail is mostly flat. The loop back is rather steep. I'd recommend a walking stick.
