Stunning views have hiked here many many times since it's basically my backyard.

Fairly moderate with no real gradients. Very muddy at the moment but slippery rather than deep. Very peaceful and great when it’s hot out as it’s fairly covered. Pigs are damaging some of the trail and I saw a fairly large one at the 4 mike mark. Worth doing for a quick outing.

Nice quick trail to a decent lookout. Average view and not a very intensive hike at all. Can get muddy so just watch the weather, but it's nothing that would prevent you from doing it in the rain or panicking if you were caught out there in a passing shower.

Excellent scenic local hike! Not many tourists compared with other falls trails.

Got super lost, make sure you know where to go!

Great trail, though it’s longer than listed. My app said it was 5.6 miles for the loop. Starting at the lower parking lot helped.

They probably went via Po’opo’o Place or Kamahele St., the two alternate backways. They boarded up the Kamahele St. steps and posted signs telling hikers to go away.

This trail is CLOSED for now. Not sure how others can review it in the past weeks. They have signs posted.

I’m going on my past experience before it was shut. Great views and awesome for exercise.

Quiet technic but ok ... super place to see ... we enjoyed it . Not for raining days at all ... our 9 walked easily to the fall but he is used to .

Humid but not hot due to tree and then fog cover. Occasional fantastic views. Muddy, trail runners are okay. Overall great!:)

Definitely turn right at the tree with the blue arrow. Staying left won’t get you to the waterfall and is not very kid friendly of a hike.

So I just tried and there are a few forks. I went right at 1st one and ended up under hwy, backtracked, went other way and right at next fork by big white tree trunk. ended up by 2 big green electrical towers and then ultimately on the fire road back to my car. I'll try again tmrw. Apparently there's a right turn I missed. Lots of trails off of this trail. Had a great sweat and work out anyway. But darn it, I wanted to get wet too. Next time!

Great running trail!

What a breathtaking view up there definitely must do trail

its a very good hike especially for beginners. you can see the H3 freeway and the ridge mountain. it's beautiful

It’s an awesome and fairly easy as long as you take the right way. When it comes to a fork make sure you take the left if you aren’t looking for a challenge. The right is much steeper and can be exhausting in the heat. Many bunkers and definitely worth the view.

Great ridge trail. Challenging, but much safer than others I have hiked. Not a great hike for small children, but everyone else can enjoy it. It was muddy today, recommend hiking boats or trail runners. Tennis shoes might not cut it for some people.

Awesome hike. According to my GPS it 2.3 miles each way and all uphill. My five year old was a trooper and did it, but she has been building up to these hikes. l carried my three year old in a kid carrier and l would highly recommend a good walking stick for coming back down the summit stairs. All in all one our favorite hikes on the Island.

great trail to go running at a moderate pace if it's not raining! (because then it would be muddy and slippery) beautiful view at the top (don't go past the bench at the top!- it's not really a trail and you go through a bunch of thorn bushes that leads to the electric pole where the view is the same from the end of the trail at the bench- not worth the thorns! lol)

very beautiful when you get to the waterfall take your wet shoes as you can walk right next to the waterfall and climb for a closer view.

Probably the third or fourth best waterfall on the island. A short and sweet hike with nice scenery but as a Hawaiian resident you won’t be blown away. 4 stars for a tourist though and if you really like waterfalls its probably for you after lulumalu and manoa falls. Chill trail, good for running on dry days.

Caught the sunrise. Super crowded but worth it.

Great hike, especially at sunset. A couple switch backs and steep parts, but worth the climb once you get to the top. Can get warm and there is no shade/breeze so bring water.

Beautiful views! The hike itself was quite steep on the way up and on the way back it was very difficult. Hike is shaded for the most part, with minimal exposure to the sun. Therefore, it is a great hike to do at anytime of the day. The pictures come out a lot better when the sun is out versus when it is overcast. Make sure to get your manicure after rather than before this hike because your hands and nails will get dirty!

The views aren’t super fantastic there but it’s a great nature outing nonetheless. The trail itself isn’t difficult it’s just pacing yourself to make sure you make it haha. Lots of species of plants (im a botanist so im biased) to ooh and aah at plus the trail is great for groups and dogs.

Great hike . A little muddy but cool on a hot day. Mostly covered hike with breathtaking views. Took about 2 hours. Great for a beginner.
