a lot of construction going on a few places you can't get to.. drove 2 hours so I was kinda upset I couldn't do everything! A bit of ice.. but over all a wonderful experience and will definitely be back.

Great trail for the winter and plenty of elevation change. Trail has quite a few areas that could use some tlc, however it is looking better than last time I was here.

Wonderful place to go excercise and clear your head of life.

4 stars but only because we couldn’t make it to the top. About 1.7 miles up during the switchbacks the snow is very deep. The tracks of people who had come before us stopped, and we tried to keep going but would have needed snowshoes. Either way - gorgeous views and manageable elevation. Very windy but beautiful sunny day!

Awesomely hard trail. Rained all day but grip was still good for most of the trail on rocks and roots. Falls were overflowing and beautiful. Highly recommend but please keep in mind it is not an easy trail.

It was silent, peaceful winter trail.
The weather was little cold but rock climbing is make me sweaty.
And rest of the course was nice, easy.

easy hike for beginners. I would start at the trailhead off of the right side of the start of the hike up trail- that side has the most elevation gain and is pretty difficult when you are tired out from the rest of the hike

Great trail with fantastic views. Excellent for walking so there’s no need to bring a hiking stick. Many stairs.

Really nice hike. 4 waterfalls and a rugged trail. Interesting water features...some with no outlet. Be sure to take the Sheep Cave side trail. Not a beginner hike.

One of our absolute favorites! I’ve hiked it with my kids since they were in hiking backpacks! It can be a little intimidating with kids if your kids aren’t well exposed to diverse trails but we have a “serious” talk before each hike explaining that hikes are fun but not a playground. We must respect the environment and watch each step because it can be dangerous if we don’t give our full attention to what we are doing.

super tough hike, but very rewarding

Hiked on New Year's Day. A little muddy but overall in good condition. Falls were flowing beautifully. A great short hike.

Beautiful views on the way up and from the top!

So so pretty. Definitely a little challenging but doable. Just have to pay attention to what you’re doing. I would be very reluctant to do this trail after some rain. A lot of rocks but well marked. Virgin Falls at the very end is worth it I promise!

The look outs near the top of the waterfall were closed because of structural damage but you can still get to the top. Best views are from the observation decks. Really short and easy hike. Don’t let the “strenuous trail” signs fool you. ;)

Yes the road to get there is rather rough but hikers aren’t pansy-asses and so you’ll all do fine and manage fine. The hike is short but the falls are cool. Nice trail to get there too. Really enjoyed this little jaunt.

Easy to access trail ending with a beautiful waterfall with lots of areas to hammock and enjoy the upper and lower falls. Usually fairly crowded given the easy access but lots of lesser traveled spur trails to access from all sides of the trail. Sandy pines to rhododendron - beautiful!

Love this trail for a good challenge! Be ready for steep inclines and declines!

Its been raining a lot so some of the trail was quite muddy. Bring water proof shoes and you’ll be fine. Awesome trail.

Beautiful waterfall, very tall and powerful. Easy hike to it except it is a lot of stairs in the beginning. No bathrooms so go before you even drive there. Muddy at some points so don’t wear your brand new shoes as we saw several had on.

Hiked this in December, took the counterclockwise route as suggested. There were 10-12 stream crossings that were very challenging. A few of them can be navigated just staying on dry portions of rock, but most had rocks that were just too far apart to take a step. Solutions include bushwacking off the trail to find a better spot to cross, shimmying across fallen logs, or just take off your shoes and trudging through the ice cold water.

Aside from the initial stream crossings, the hike is not very challenging beyond Devil's Bathtub. There is a sign saying something like "Warning: next 5 miles very strenuous and rugged", but it was a relatively easy walk through the woods compared to the first part of the trail. First 2-3 miles took 3 hours, remaining 5 miles took 2.5 hours.

Overall it was a lot of fun; navigating the stream crossings added an element of challenge and decision-making.

We stopped in our way out of town. With all the recent rain, the trails were muddy but the water was running fast and it was SPECTACULAR! It was a moderate hike, need to watch younger children and your step. Highly recommended.

Very nice trail and super easy. The falls are very close and the surrounding area is beautiful and fun to explore. Perfect place to picnic and play in the water in nice weather. Would definitely visit again. Look for the well marked area on the gravel road in as there are several trailheads that are close by and may be mistaken for Riley Moore.

It is very challenging but I felt like Jesus wanted to meet me here so I did even if I was scared that the stone is slippery because it was pouring on my drive to the location. Anyway I just kept hiking up like a penguin by using the outer edge of my foot to support each step. I didn’t slip and the rain cloud started to be swept away and I got a chance to see the sun while it was slowly setting. You have almost a 360 view at the very top. Coming down a solid white line is steeper, it needs more faith, trust and persistence. The breaking yellow line would still be slippery if it rained so still be careful.

One of the pretties falls I've ever been to.
A little steep but not too long of a hike.
