What a beautiful hike. There is nothing like getting up to the top and seeing clouds everywhere. It gets pretty crowded at the top so hike early!

What a beautiful hike. There is nothing like getting up to the top and seeing clouds everywhere. It gets pretty crowded at the top so hike early!

No phone service once you get to trailhead and no map available at trailhead and only partially marked on trail so got a bit confused. No shade, so best for cool weather or sunrise/sunset hike. Cute nature center when open 11am-5pm. Pretty views at top

This is a lovely trail, is best in an autumn afternoon when the sun is not too hot but soothing with a gently breeze , great view of the city

If you are complaining because there too much poop maybe you should stay at home

Went on a beautiful Saturday and only saw three people the whole way - a group of two and a firefighter. 360 view at the top is wondrous.

Several approaches to the top and we took a pretty treacherous stair case trail. Up top is pretty cool with benches and tables and the history and Amir’s story is nice. I’d definitely try another way up the next time.

No shade and we did see a rattlesnake but overall great hike! We went around 7:30 am on a Saturday and were the only ones there. Will definitely be back.

this hike was not that great not a lot of scenery and not a lot of shade but the panoramic view would have been nice if there wasn't fires all over the place

Lots of dog and horse poop everywhere. Very dirty trail. I parked on the street for free. Definitely glad that I didn't pay $5 to do this hike. One of the worst hikes that I've done in Southern California. I won't be back.

First time hiking or doing anything physical in a really long time. Entered the trail at Larwin close to Chatsworth Park South. Followed the paved path till it ended and continued on the unpaved trail beyond it ... I wandered on a different trail by accident and found myself in a much rougher and steeper hike.... turned right instead of left after coming to a fork beyond the end of the paved path... There was still a trail but it was significantly tougher toward the top close to Lilac... Was worth it though and was proud of myself when I finally got to the sign. Now that I know where I turned wrong the next time should be much smoother! And btw... It’s still spring so watch that poison oak!

this hike was all uphill and it was 10 .1 miles round-trip but the view from the top is a 360-degree view so it was worth it once we got up there and we think we saw a mountain lion but it was too far away to tell for sure

Love this trail!

Took the stairs up to the garden and continued up the mountain. Bit foggy morning but still great views.

quick and easy and yet so beautiful. one of my favorite secret gardens in LA.

Started hiking from the street to the saddle back trail, it was really nice! only minutes from civilization but it doesn't feel like it once your going through the mountains, very peaceful!

A constant incline and not much to look at since the place is still recovering from the fires.

Easy to navigate fire road. More an easy/moderate hike. We hiked through the cloud cover in the higher elevation so the views were limited. It was nice to have a reprieve from the sun since there would have been no shade otherwise. Always enjoy a new hike.

Fire road all the way to the top. Not going to get lost here. Good work out. 2.5 hours to the top and down. About 10 miles on my Apple watch. 90% exposed to the sun. Fulfilling.

DILLY DILLY

dog friendly and we got to enjoy some snowy and icy views at the top.

Fantastic trail. Well worth the effort. Life affirming

This trail is a steady incline to the top on a wide road. I would say it's a pretty easy hike. it has some really great views. The top especially gives you a view all around right next to a little cabin. Being above DTLA is a very cool view. One nice simple hike

Great trail run

This is honestly an extremely under rated gem at Griffith. You can take the long way or the somewhat intense steep “stair” path up to enter this bio dome-shaped garden teeming with beautiful colors and geometries of all the exotic flora that have made their residence there. On the borders of the meandering trails weaving through the garden, breathtaking views of the lush valleys, open sky, and the city views on the other had us at loss for words as we felt like the curious Alice who had just stepped thorough the looking glass.

I started at Los Angeles live steamers, up Rattlesnake trail, then Condor trail to the park and up to Amir's Garden. I enjoyed the hike there and back. The destination is very pretty.
I was just a bit put off by dog owners not leashing their canine companions.
The lack of trail etiquette bothers me. Other than that it was a nice hike. Total trip out and back wad close to five miles.

little bit of a challenge, very uphill but the view is definietly worth it, i wouldnt suggest bringing kids though because they would definitely get tired.

Josephine Peak Trail is a fire Road that leads up to a small solar/electrical cabin. I throughly enjoyed this hike as it offered a steady incline on a flat, walk-and-talk trail. The trail meanders in and out of areas where you walk against the mountain with views of shrubs and chaparral and then into sections with sweeping views of both the city and far into Angeles Forest.

This is a fabulous hike for newcomers or those who fear tight trails and long drops. It trail feels “safe” the whole way up. The best view is from the very top where you have a 360 panorama of the front range to the Channel Islands!!

My favorite trail to take my dog on! The garden is absolutely gorgeous!

if you take the stairs it's pretty steep but it knocks off a lot of distance some pretty good views from up top also
