Done this twice. Each time in the winter. Very hard but perfect for a day hike. 2:15 up and 1:45 back. Skipped the eyebrow trail each time which is now a regret. Micro spikes were necessary.

Did this with a summer camp. Really fun, not challenging. There is a cliff at one point but you don't have to go near the edge. Steep rock face to climb but I was fine in hiking boots. Took five hours with slow frequently stopping camp group. Would probably take four hours with a frequently stopping but well paced group. (done somepoint in July)

Conquered this hike yesterday! Starts out as a moderate grade then becomes quite steep the last mile. Micro Spikes a must at the higher elevations. Beautiful views at the 2 outlooks near the summit.

I’ve done this hike a few times. Gone with kids ages 8 and up during May in New England. May flies prohibit a great hike during this month as they’re everywhere.

The trail however is an incredible family adventure with challenges up a somewhat flat and steep incline. Slow and steady and the kids find the challenges once traversed as monumental achievements.

Beautiful scenery and skyline views and surprisingly little traffic.

Makes for a full day adventure where you can stop numerous times for water, potty, feeding breaks.

I suggest plenty of water and healthy snacks in a medium travel pack. The more people the merrier this will be in your group.

Killer winter Hike. Most definitely will be going back to do more hiking there! I highly suggest this hike to anyone looking for a solid day hike with great views at the top!

Enjoy!

beautiful day for a hike. Definitely need yak tracks. the view at the top was spectacular today!!

We hiked up today (nov 12). It was a nice thin snow cover but very icy towards the top. Pretty low elevation gain and not too difficult besides the ice. The view on the top of the fire tower was beautiful and panoramic. I would recommend crampons and or sticks if you are going later in the winter but we made out just fine in backpacking boots in early nov. perfect for a quick day hike

I Hiked 11-7 it was raining in the early am. Then it turned beautiful. It was Diwali and my wife put Tilak on my far head to help guide my way. I went the easy way and followed the Burrows Trail. A little challenging at the very top. But this is very doable. Fantastic view. Saw like further then I could believe. ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

Moderate hike with some steeper sections in the final third. There were ladders going over the steepest sections. The summit itself is entirely wooded with a small cairn. However, there is a nice outlook right before the summit itself. Most of the hike was icy/packed snow, so micro spikes are definitely recommended.

Absolutely beautiful hike, it can get intense at some points closer to the pinnacle but it’s worth every bit. Best time to go is the first week of October.

Nice trail, we live by Littleton and our family does this trail often when we visit. Easy for hikers of all ages. Family friendly, and dogs are welcome.

Loved this trail! Views from the top (and middle) are beautiful and worth the semi-challenging trail. Additional fun: Two local golden retrievers with bells and tags met us at the bottom and took us all the way to the top, no owners. We learned from some locals on the trail that these amazing pups have been on that trail for years and are sweet and brave, which we found out!

We took this trail October 12 the weather was cloudy and rainy but the views from rocky ridge unparalleled. I would consider this moderate at best not as difficult as others said.

I really enjoyed this hike, lot of ice (Nov 4th), should havé worn better shoes with spikes

My brother ( age 50) and I ( age 52) hiked this yesterday November 4th and a lot of it was covered in ice and mud and snow . It was my first time hiking Giant and my 3rd high peak and most challenging yet . We were warm enough but should have worn some kind of chains on the hiking shoes . We each fell on our butt once but just enough to hurt our egos and laugh at each other . Hike time a little less than 7 hours ( including about 1/2 at the summit ) the trail is not marked very well and we took a few unplanned detours . I would do this hike again in the warmer months .

Beautiful sites at the top. Definitely a challenging incline. Could be done in a few hours. Overall very fun.

Great hike with an amazing view. Very popular so the top may be hard to find privacy.

Great hike up to enjoy the fall colors. Went up eye brow and down the AT, eyebrow wasn’t a must do and wouldn’t be a good trail to descend. Clear day up top on the fire tower, views were stellar- snow on top made it even better. Took longer than expected due to icy conditions but beautiful hike, another great 4ker.

Went yesterday. Started out on Ethan Pond Trail and then went up Mt. Willey. Summit is a pile of rocks in the tree lines. There's was very little snow and ice on the ground. In the first 1.6 miles, lots of fallen leaves. The section after has the snow/ice. It was a good hike. Moderate in the beginning and steep near the top. You have to climb up roughly 6 man-made ladders. Because of snow and ice while climbing them.

I love the challenge. going up was a challenge but going down was rough. the hardest part was the rock climbing. be prepared to climb up that mountain with all your limbs, otherwise you'll have to turn back and not able to make the loop. be sure to have good shoes or hiking boots on during the autumn season because the leaves may be a bit slippery.

Views for days! This took us about 6 hours because we kept stopping to appreciate where we were - a new favorite!

Excellent hike and view!!

Great hike! The views are beautiful due to the 360 degrees. The day we hiked it was a bit slippery so hiking boots were necessary due to extremely large boulders/earth. We got lost a few times due to unclear trail heads. Overall fun day in the woods!

If you enjoy rocky climbs this is without a doubt, one of the best hikes around. Not that difficult, and great views. Easily one of my favorites.

Beautiful views! One of my favorite hikes!

Awesome

Our group of 4 (young adults) completed the 4.4 mile trail in around 3.5 hours.. stopping only for a few spectacular views! It was snowing on the ascent, so the slippery rock slowed us down considerably. We had a great time!

Got to be in pretty good shape !!! Not a beginners trail!!! Great hike !!!
