Was snowing and the trail was muddy. Slogged through some running water in places.

Somewhat narrow areas on the path. Ages3 and above will be ok on the path. Great views on the way to the falls!

Easy walk to a great falls. Not strenuous.

Good trail to get a taste of Custer State Park

Good trail to get the blood flowing after being in the camper all night. Hiked it a couple of times as it was right next to our campsite.

Hiked this with my 70+ years old parents and they had no trouble. Took about 75 minutes. Absolutely great hike and would recommend. I don't think it matters much which way you take the loop as there are ups and downs both ways.

Nice easy hike. About 2 miles total from Spearfish Canyon Lodge. We’ve hiked and snowshoed. A great hike before breakfast. We had fresh powder one morning and were the first one out on the trail. The falls were amazing to see with the ice and snow covering. Nice views from above the falls any time of year.

Nothing special.

I'm giving this a "5" because of the sacredness of the canyon. It's unmistakable. Take it in. Really easy.

Been hitting it hard last few days. Haven’t been up with my dog since coyote sightings. Beautiful this morning. All fog covered when you hit BR

nice trail with the falls on one end and a fish hatchery on the other end.

Easy, typical campground trail at a beautiful lake.

this is four trails, with varying levels of difficulty, that originate and end at Buzzard's Roost. Beautiful view at the end.

Beautiful views of rock formations. Easy hike.

Great hike with lots of trail options for different difficulty levels. We were on a new trail that they were still working on and it was fantastic. View from the top is spectacular!

Nice beginner’s hike, a good workout and lots of nice views, wild flowers, and people along the way. The trailhead in Deadwood is difficult to find. You will need to start at the Mickelson Trail trailhead and walk 300 yards west up the Mickelson Trail. The Homestake trailhead is a sharp turn to your right. If you come to the bench on the Mickelson Trail, you went 10 yards too far.

This was such a cute trail. We came upon it while camping right across the road. It was very near and it surprised us greatly. Down a little hidden path lands a small waterfall that is so calm and peaceful. Lots of places to climb and see. The trail we went on was only 2.5 miles but it ended up taking us 2 hours cause there was so much to see and do.

I did with my wife and two kids, 10 and 8... We followed the map in the app... it was perfect... beautiful trail... very beautiful!

Paved, very accessible and very easy. The falls are beautiful and this is a great place to get out and stretch your legs even if you are just passing through.

nice trail, gradual elevation

Not impressed. Looking forward to water falls, as mentioned by some previous users commented and online pictures, but in reality the water falls are small. Not a good area to swim. The spires are beautiful as you're walking right next to them. We found the trail was strenuous and not a good pay off for views.

This is scenic. But it is NOT a strenuous hike. The trail is wide and flat for all ages and abilities.

With every step, you felt closer to Mother Earth. The stream crossings, the rolling prairie filled with wild flowers, cactus, grasshoppers, were a sight to behold. We saw lots of prairie dogs and heard coyotes in the distance. Buffalo were in the area but we didn’t see any. The warm breezes were so beautiful and peaceful. A comfortable hike. Just over 2 miles. Cannot rate easy because of the hills, and some lack of shade.
