Love this hike, definitely a climb but so worth the view. Got up early and did it at sunrise, there was still a layer of fog on the water and the ship-man it made for a beautiful hike. It’s a challenge but a goody. Parking is limited so I recommend getting there early!

Relatively flat and easy for trail running. Great for beginners and those who just want to take it easy. Awesome views and lots of spots for cooling off after running in the heat!

great training hike.
From Chuckanut it is much more difficult than from the upper parking lot or from the parking lot at barrel springs road.
great view from the top.

A very easy day hike, or stay over. It's worth walking over to Lower Curtis Glacier, though it's a bit more difficult and some rock scramble. Swim in the icey Lake on a hot day. Very refreshing.

Several years ago this was a nice and quiet trail if you wanted to go on a stroll, now it’s so overpopulated.

The Skyline Divide trail brought about one of those few "wow" moments in life. A perfect day hike for a bit of a workout and breathtaking views. Read my full trip report at https://www.gatlincreatives.com/blog/skylinedivide and watch the full weekend camping trip!

Did this hike on Sunday August 5. Beautiful and busy trail. Scenery is outstanding once you get up to the ridge. A little buggy in the afternoon but not terrible. Road in has some holes but generally in good shape.

Beautiful trail, bugs are out to get ya if you camp out on the ridge. Also, service road is about 13 miles long with some decent sized potholes. We saw plenty of Priuses making it up though so the road shouldnt be an issue if you look ahead for them. Beautiful sights made it one of the better backpacking trip I've done here so far. Bring plenty of water. Enjoy!

Go early it’s busy. Bring water for dogs not a lot of streams but there is some snow close to the top (beginning of aug)

Car got broken into at the trailhead camping for one night. Good one night backpacking trip but not worth it if your car is gonna get broken into.

Did this one yesterday. poor our car! if you are not driving a tall 4 wheel drive that last 40 min of drive would be a roalercoaster with flying stines, dust and it would take more than an hour. there is some camping on that road though, which is amazing.
Trail is beautiful! Most people just go up and do not go though the ridge.
We did go to Chain lakes today and id say views were about same spectacular, but road was really nice, so next time not sure which one would i choose.

This trail was rated as moderate which is probably true on other occasions. Today there were several ice fields to traverse which made it difficult especially when descending on the afternoon. I chose to glissade

Great trail, amazing views. Took us 4:30 back and forth with limited stops. the first 2.5 miles are snow free. then you encounter some small snow bridges between mile 2.5 and 3.5.
The last mile is fully covered with snow. I really recommend poles and micro spikes as the hill was really slippery. Lake Ann is fully covered with snow and the views are amazing up there.

Hiked it July 16. Beginning is still completely snowed in. Since I haven't done it before I had done trouble finding my way with all the snow, but eventually my micro spikes got me through the uphill snow field and to the switchbacks.

At the switchbacks the snow disappeared and the going was much easier, albeit straight up through rugged rock. Beautiful views of Baker as you're ascending.

Once on top there are 360 degree views of Baker, Shuksan, and many other beautiful things in every direction. I was competent enveloped in blue snowmelt ponds, snowy mountains, sheer cliffs, and so on.

To continue past the top it requires micro spikes to be put back on so I could do some ridge hiking to explore. Only saw two other people the three hours or so I was on the hike.

Road up to trailhead is in good condition. Potholes as expected but plenty of room to maneuver around. Busy parking lot, make sure to get up there early! Trail is in great condition. Tennis shoes will get you to the top no problem now. A couple of very small snow patches to cross but nothing to be overly cautious about.

hard but amazing views and definitely its worth it!

so couldn't do any hikes because there was so much snow, but roads clear and open. we wandered around a while looking for a trailhead but no luck, had my 1 year old and 8 year old so wasn't going to chance it. talked to a women at the visitor center, she said at least 2 or 3 more weeks til it's clear. the views from the parking lot were amazing so cant wait to go back.

beautiful hike on 4th of July! snow up to the meadow is very compact. follow the pink ribbon to stay on the trail. we continued past the meadow and up the peak for lunch which was beautiful. bring poles or prepare to "ski" down or, as I did, sled on my bum! it feels a bit exposed at some snowy areas with drop offs on the side, but totally doable and super fun.

made it to 4592 ft but had to turn around as we weren't prepared for the snow on the trail. Will go back again to complete whole loop. Its beautiful! July 6th a bit too early this year.

had a great hike. next time bring my swimming suit.

Absolutely beautiful. It’s pretty steep on the way up but it is totally worth it. Definitely would like to go again.

Beautiful trail, great stop offs and candid moments. The top is silencing and you’ll wish you had a picnic dinner with you to enjoy it. Just stunning!

Great hike, gorgeous views. Reasonably crowded for a Saturday. There’s another lake you can venture off to on your way down. Took about 4.5 hours, with a break at the top and detour to the other lake.

This was a pleasant, easy walk with lots of birding opportunities. The trails are clear cut and fairly easy to follow. I got there around 10:30 and it wasn’t too busy yet (I’m sure it helped that it’s a Monday) but by the time I left around 1:30, there were a lot of people. Like most places, I’d recommend arriving early if you hope to do any solo exploring without other people popping up.

The road up was long with lots of potholes, but not too bad with the right vehicle. The hike itself was good even though there was a lot of snow. made it more fun anyway. we had to turn around about 2 miles in due to lack of a clear trail. manageable without snowshoes even if it’s a little slippery. Will definitely have to go back later in the season!

Awesome! Kid and dog friendly, can cut over to other trails within and around main trail.

Beautiful hike! Still some snow patches but very manageable without snowshoes. We lucked out with the warm and sunny weather, saw amazing views of Mt Baker

Started this hike at the base, Excellent hike to get ready for my three months of wandering around the PNW. Great hike with two spectacular views of the Sammish Bay. There is little to no water in the trail so be prepared. Lots of switchbacks and footling changing going on in the upper part of the trail. Moderate is a good rating because of the elevation gains from the start and intermittently in the trail. There was logging going on in the area so it wasn’t always quiet on this hike. Enjoyed this trail either way.
