I Hiked 11-7 it was raining in the early am. Then it turned beautiful. It was Diwali and my wife put Tilak on my far head to help guide my way. I went the easy way and followed the Burrows Trail. A little challenging at the very top. But this is very doable. Fantastic view. Saw like further then I could believe. ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

I went Monday 11-5 Lots of ice. Then when I got to the white rock trail it was a ton of snow Many of the markings are on the rocks So I could not see them but it seemed pretty obvious as to where you need to go. Very windy at the top but a fantastic view. ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

11/10/18 Nice hike, easy to follow, well marked trail. We went after a couple days of rain so it was pretty wet and muddy. By the time we got back to the parking lot our hiking shoes were soaked. Waterfall was worth it!

Absolutely beautiful hike, it can get intense at some points closer to the pinnacle but it’s worth every bit. Best time to go is the first week of October.

PLEASE WEAR WATERPROOF BOOTS!!! Due to all the rain a good quarter to half mile of the trail is under several inches of water and there is significant mud.

Loved this trail! Views from the top (and middle) are beautiful and worth the semi-challenging trail. Additional fun: Two local golden retrievers with bells and tags met us at the bottom and took us all the way to the top, no owners. We learned from some locals on the trail that these amazing pups have been on that trail for years and are sweet and brave, which we found out!

So pretty in the fall! Great view at the top. Great hike for kids (7, 5, 5, 5, 3).

just hiked to the falls with our dog. he did great and the falls were incredible. a little mud, running and standing water on the trail. well worth it for the view.

Beautiful sites at the top. Definitely a challenging incline. Could be done in a few hours. Overall very fun.

I took the south trail and its a great and free hicking zone! Moderate is a valid rating for this hike. The view is fanrastic! Can be done in less than 2 hours total easily :)

The view is incredible! Really love this hike and I would recommend it!

Great hike with an amazing view. Very popular so the top may be hard to find privacy.

Trail is well maintained and the entire section is very runnable, with a few water crossings to refresh your feet (nothing better than ice cold Vermont water).
Towards the bottom there is one very cool section under a canopy of evergreen trees with an almost level dirt path which makes for a quite scenic "trail road."
Path gets a bit rockier as you ascend a few switchbacks.
I went during a cold and rainy day so once I got high enough, the rain turned to snow, which added to the ambience.
When I got to the trail junction about 1.75 miles or so in, I read the sign as "falls" straight ahead and the other insignia as towards the right (descent). This was incorrect. The falls are actually down to the right.
Anyway, I kept climbing (toward Bourn pond) and this section of trail wasn't maintained.
It was very wet, muddy, single track and with tons of down / decaying trees blocking the path. This felt like more of a Bushwhack. I kept going about another half mile or so to a large stream crossing, which I incorrectly assumed was Lye Brook falls.
In actuality, I believe this was the higher section of rocky brook that feeds the falls below.
Regardless, next time I return, I'll make sure to turn right at the junction!

This was a great trail! our dog enjoyed the trail as well, we kept her close near the falls since we didn't trust her to stay out of the water. The trail was absolutely gorgeous. Its uphill the whole way to the falls, but the way back goes much faster

Excellent hike and view!!

Awesome

Got to be in pretty good shape !!! Not a beginners trail!!! Great hike !!!

Très belle randonnée! Des points de vue magnifiques et spectaculaires. À faire en famille!

Took the North trail up and back...Views at the outlooks were amazing. Steep in spots but overall it was mild-moderate in difficulty. Took about 3 hours

Beautiful views

Did the loop on October 12 but got started a bit late so took the Halfway House Trail to get up to the Canyons Trail and then eventually met up with the Long Trail to make it to the chin and back down via the Sunset Ridge Trail.

Halfway House was very very steep but offered some pretty views of the valley, especially with the foliage. The Canyons Trail included a lot of rock scrambling but offered some shelter from the wind on the ridge. Also great views on this section. Once we got to the Long Trail, the views were incredible because you get up above the treeline on to the ridge and you can really see the summit, the valley and stowe ski resort. Unfortunately we had a lot of fierce wind during our time along the long trail probably from the combination of elevation and quick changing weather.

Once we started descending via the Sunset Ridge Trail, the conditions were much better and we were able to enjoy the views and get some great photos.

Overall a great hike and worth the views. Strenuous because of steep conditions and rock scrambles. Make sure to check the weather and be ready for temperature drops and wind

The view on the top was spectacular once the flurries of snow drifted away and the clouds cleared. As for difficulty, I would say this is on the harder side of moderate even though I began at the Stowe Pinnacle Meadow parking lot. Yes, the view is definitely worth the hike up.

Great trail for a good work out. I would assume that is a great view of Burlington but the clouds were low when I went. Highly recommend.

Nice trail and great view. I recommend!!!

Very nice trail. A little rocky definitely moderately rated. My wife and I are amateur hikers and it took us about 3 hours round trip. Totally worth the view though!
