An easy 1 mile each way hike that I could do with my toddler on my back. Beautiful views of the lake and Adirondacks. The only complaint is that it was extremely crowded, but we were expecting that since we went on a beautiful fall Sunday so no big deal.

It says 3 miles but it feels longer, parking is also quite problematic with the limited number of spaces and the rules about not parking on the road side. But the hike itself is beautiful.

Good hike, but lots of rocks. Pretty falls, but probably a lot nicer after a good rain.

Great hike in my backyard. PLEASE DO NOT VENTURE OFF TRAIL! I’ve done way too many searches for lost hikers up here. Easy to follow trail markers

Fascinating place, very grounding, somewhat surreal, worth every penny.

Good hike, 2nd half of ascent is a little tough, but the falls make it all worth it

Quiet respite amongst tall trees and fern filled ground cover. Paths well marked and maintained. Lack of sunlight allows mushrooms to florish.

Nice hike! Not too strenuous, and with a great view at the end. Falls are better if it recently rained, but there would be more mud on the way there.

Great local place to get away and get exercise. Small inclines, fields and the pond.

The falls at the end is such a beautiful treat. We did encounter a black bear along the trail but quietly went our separate ways. Gorgeous hike!

Beautiful easy hike with the dog.

Beautiful and quick hike. About two hours, round trip

on Mount Philo Trail

Nice hike. Decided to take devil's chair trail after the summit. It was very narrow with lots of interesting crevices. Loved it.

Even though it is rated Easy, there are some pretty step and long climbs. For our first outing may have been more than we should have tackled. Looking forward to doing it again when we’re better prepared. Last leg near edge of water isn’t much fun. High weeds and brush on a very narrow path.

Great hike, took us 2 hours and 15 min for a round trip. Bring some food/drink for a nice little picnic when you get there. The waterfall is really high, you also can climb a little up closer to the top and touch the water. Very rewarding view after a good hike with quite steep and steady incline!

Great short day hike. A bit rocky and would recommend hiking shoes/boots. Round trip took us about 3 hrs. Falls were beautiful. Took a lot of nice pics

Good hike, about 3 miles, most of the way in is uphill over rocky terrain but the falls are really cool and its worth the hike. Bring water and a snack to eat while you sit and enjoy the falls. Wear good hiking shoes.

Really enjoyed this area. Had a little of everything. Some nice inclines to get a workout but not too rigorous. Loved the different venues, from meadows to walking along the pond and through the canopy of trees. Definitely will go back! Well maintained and easy to navigate.

Was a great hike for our 7 and 11 year olds!

Great trail with beautiful views at the top of Burnt Rock Mountain. A few technical areas towards top, but our 2 Golden Doodle pups were able to get up and down with us easily.

Great hike- wear hiking boots!

Awesome hike. Took 1:15 to hike in, and an hour to hike out. Plus whatever time you spend at the falls. Waterfall is gorgeous. We went right after a good rain, so it was running really well. Go early, or on a weekday if possible... seems like it’s a really popular spot. Moderate rating appropriate. Incline towards falls went on for a while... not just a “walk in the woods”. All four members of my family say “five stars!!!!”

Great hike.

Nice trail, a little heavily traveled, nice water views with waterfalls, good for kids and families.

Beautiful park!

Awesome place to explore! While there is not much hiking, there is a lot of natural beauty, and cool tidbits of info along the paths. There is something for everyone there :)

If you've got friends or family visiting you in Vermont, Mount Philo is the perfect way to spend a few hours. A very easy mile each way gets you some great views of Lake Champlain and the surrounding areas. Very crowded in the summer, try to hike this one around 5 or 6 pm to catch the setting sun over Lake Champlain.

This trail is definitely worth the trip! Easy start with a relatively flat forest path that quickly turns into a steep climb over rocks and streams. I would recommend wearing water or durable hiking shoes as your feet are likely to get wet crossing some small streams. The waterfall is stunning!

Great trail. Lots of variety although the rock slides could be daunting for some. Fabulous falls! At the end of the access road ( which has some fun potholes) on the way back out of the “park” is a clever sign telling you there is a speed bump! Hard to tell with all the potholes...good for a chuckle.

Nice family friendly hike. You can choose to stick to path or follow the paved road both up and down. Offers some beautiful views of Lake Champlain.
