Kayaking in is currently open. 2ish mile kayak taking over an hour. There’s some shade from the canyon walls but very little. We hiked about 2 miles into the canyon when we got there after kayaking. Ate lunch at a resting point in our hike. Hike back until you reach the narrow/one person wide canyon part. It’s a beautiful site. Do this earlier in the day. It gets busy and the shore gets muddy. The water was decently windy when we went.

WalkingGreat!

Beautiful outlook point that’s easily accessible. We arrived about 45 minutes before sunset and it was gorgeous watching the sun go down behind the bend. (Tip: stay for about 15 minutes after sunset for the real light/color show.) Watch out for all of the influencers and ‘gramers taking up photo spots along the front gated area. If you walk to the right there are great spots to see the full bend that’s a bit away from the main crowd. There are TONS of small bugs so if you have a bug-thing, be prepared.

Once you get away from the crowd. You really get to enjoy the view. A very simple walk I would recommend to take a bottle of water. Post Covid-19; June 30, 2019

short hike and worth the views. the wind can kick sand into your face and eyes. it also knocks hats off. I saw tons of people taking photos in areas without railing near the edge of a 1000 ft drop. given how strong the winds are this is probably a Darwin idea.

The gates are locked until just before sunrise, and there are a lot of bugs. Nonetheless, the view is fantastic.

Via Antelope Pointe Rentals we were able to do the trail. In order to get to it you will kayak approximately 1.5 hours (+/-) the hike itself is very easy with like incline. The slotted canyons were a great view and picture worthy. The hike can last as long as you’d like, there is lots to walk— we did about 2hrs worth of hiking and had a nice little lunch. Then kayaked back to the marina. On the lower end of time need to complete the full time, plan for a minimum of 5 hrs

The trail itself is super easy, very much a flat path. However the real reason for anyone to do is for the most amazing views of Horseshoe Bend. We did the hike just before sunset and wow— talk about the Golden Hour!

Fun and easy Trail. For inexperienced hikers great for staying on the trial. Also great for those who wanna do some extra side exploring. Next time I’m definitely taking my board.

Quick and easy! lots of sun exposure, but there are 2 shaded rest areas. Lastly, there are a lot of bathrooms, and they were really clean when we visited!

Beautiful views, just overcrowded. $10 entrance fee to park and then you can walk around. Lots of little gnats.
