We hiked the trail this morning to all 3 lakes. The trail to the middle lake is the steepest but there are lots of places to step off and take a break. if you make it to the middle lake definitely push on and go to the 3rd. Make sure you take a camera as the views are stunning.

Really great hike with an intense uphill, but definitely worth it for the views at the top! Trail can get super busy as it is very popular, and definitely worth going to the 2nd peak since the top has a lot more room for groups to have their own space to rest and have lunch. Definitely need to be in shape to do this hike especially since at the top you need to pull yourself up using a chain on the rocks.

Long hike, lake was packed with campers and hikers, took the loop up through the meadows by black tusk, flowers just starting to come out. I imagine in a week or two the colours will be lovely.
View to the Barrier was taped off as part of the bridge warning and kept many from going to see that view, however lots of toilet paper on that part as people now use the unused path as the john. Common people leave no trace and bury your leavings if you must go on the trail.

Please don’t miss this hike. Get there early, be ready for a strenuous first half of the hike. Incredible beauty will be your payoff! Take the time to hike through the campground and up to the second waterfall. It’s heaven!! Pack water and lots of bug spray. Enjoy!

Absolutely gorgeous once you clear the uphill slog initially. Panoramic views of stunning B.C. mountains along the ridge. Lake was still partially frozen and plenty of snow near the last 2 km of the trail, but doable in hiking boots.

I did peak 2 & 3. The stairs at the beginning were pretty exhausting for me as I just started going on hikes, but after that it went well. The view is amazing!! The way down was hard on my knees and ankles and I was sore for two days, but I would definitely do it again!
Great hike

One of the most beautiful places I’ve been!

Crowded but unbelievably beautiful. Pack bug spray!

Views are worth it! 70-80% upwards incline through dense amazing forest with the sound of waterfall throughout, occasional view points of mountains and forest from start to finish. finishing with the Lake at the top with more mountain views defiantly recommend! Took me 3hours up and 1:30hrs on the way down.

This was a beast of a hike. It's harder than the Grouse Grind but more scenic and no steps! Only 4 stars because it has limited shade and gets hit with sun hard. It's so worth the views, bring food and 2L water. Below is the video of the gorgeous surroundings from Tunnel Bluffs;

What an incredible trail. From the Elfin Shelter, there are almost 360 degrees of mountain views. I spent one night up there on July 10.

The road to the trailhead isn’t bad, but a bit rocky at the end. I did fine in my Prius, taking it slowly when needed.

The snow starts just after the hiking trail rejoins the mountain biking route, about 4.5km from the Shelter. It’s patchy in spots and then starts to thicken as you get closer to the lakes. We used poles, micro spikes, and gaiters; without them, the going was slow due to slush.

The route is no longer marked with the orange rods. At times, we lost the trail altogether and relied on following footprints and the AllTrails app. I suggest anyone going in the next few weeks do the same. It’s easy to veer off course in the snow.

The tent platforms are entirely melted out and looked pretty inviting. With the good weather coming, this hike will just keep getting better and better. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

No sign of the ranger(s), in case that matters to anyone.

This is one of the most beautiful and rewarding hikes I’ve ever done. The views are amazing! Make sure you hike all 3 lakes. It’s steep in some areas, but it’s worth it!

It’s so beautiful and worth the hike once you get up to the third lake. I wish I can do more to go up to the glacier so I can see the three lakes from the top.

Second peak has the best views according to most, I am inclined to agree but it’s entirely subjective. Try all three, all pretty spectacular

One star since dogs are not allowed!!!!

There is still snow on the half of the trail, but it was fun. Lakes are beautiful even they are still frozen.

Amazing views, still some snow which makes the slide back down hill great fun.

Very steep terrain but the reward is spectacular! Totally worth it!

The best hike. Kids and dog like it too. Took gondola down , pay 15$ for adults and dog. So worth of money than knee pain.

Great hike! We went past the 3rd lake up into the glacier. It was definitely worth going the extra mile, you can see all 3 lakes in a line from up there

Great hike, well marked, food and drinks at the top, epic views and a ride back down...no excuse to miss leg day.

Not technically difficult but it’s a long hike. A few muddy sections but it’s well worth the effort. For someone who rarely hikes it was an awesome day.

Great trail. Went in March very rainy and wet, and snow at top

This was a gorgeous payoff. It’s definitely doable without a lot of skill but I warn, it’s pretty much killer switchbacks the whole way up...however..it means pretty much down hill the whole way back! Will definitely come back and camp up at the lake and head on to the ridge the next day!
