Started at St Georges, took me 1h30 to get to summit. Did the loop- highly recommend it!frozen lakes up there. Beautiful views. Went down and up grouse mountain, took Gondola down. Then Badden powel trail back to car. Total time 3:30.

Completed on November 12th. Followed Vancouver Trails description and didn't get lost. It may be confusing while on the trail, but if you bring notes, there is no confusion or bushwacking needed! Out and back in 4 hours- 2 hours up, 1/2 hour break and 1.5 hours down. Once we got off the Old Mountain Hwy and on to Peer Gynt, we stayed the course till the lookout, did not do a loop. GREAT views on this clear day all the way to Garibali & Mamquam.

Great hike with lots to see along the way then a spectacular visit if greater Vancouver

Done this twice now while visiting Vancouver, love it!!! Second time, half way up I was wondering why I was doing it again, but worth it once you get to the top.

We tried! But turned around as it was pretty icy. Made the safety call. Unfortunately another lad did not and did in her ankle and needed rescue.. So proper shoes and ice gear highly recommended now. We went to Dog instead, but it had some icy parts as well. Beautiful day, but be safe!

This is not a hard trail, I would rate it as moderate.

Went on Remembrance Sunday. The first bit up to Cabin Lake is well maintained but steep. The path is icy in parts so be careful. I would recommend going via Black Mountain and Cabin Lake which I think is shorter plus Black Mountain has views of Howe Sound.

View is excellent!! Well worth the trip.

Steep uphill climb in the beginning was a great warmup to start off the trail. After that, the trail is easy and pleasant. Mildly trafficked on the Saturday afternoon we hiked. Spectacular view at the top

great hike, lots of rocks....with snow and ice everywhere, as we found today, poles were very handy. great views.

Pretty hard and totally uphill all the way. The views up are beautiful, worth your efforts. Took us 75 mins. Gondola was closed for seasonal maintenance so had to go down by the BCMC trail which was very tiring and painful as the trail was torn up due to heavy rain.

Fun trail. Mostly rocky terrain, some forest scramble and light climbing at the end. Rewarding peak and a well marked trail. Would recommend to beginners with a reasonable fitness level.

Over rated in my opinion. It's a good hike, but it's very busy most of the time and I hike for quiet, lot to be in rush hour. 50% people who are trying to beat their times are more than happy to give those slower a little nudge to get you out of their way.

Great hike. Viewpoint surrounded in cloud, couldn’t see anything. Snowing at the summit. Totally worth it. Ran into a crew working on the trail - THANKS!

A solid hour of stair climbing and a breathtaking view at the top! Another reason I want to move to Vancouver so this can be a part of my daily morning routine.

Careful, as the other reviews state, this trail is poorly marked. It's easy to end up on another trail or veering into the bush. Use your common sense and trail map for this one. Getting back is equally as confusing so it might be an idea to take the ski slope back - something we wish we had done in hindsight, but only due to sundown approaching as we ended the trail. Despite some issues, the trail itself is great. Lots of scrambling and a little easy climbing. Amazing views at the summit and some wonderful views as you approach the final quarter.

Really nice. Found it to be well
Kept. Hard to find the start. View was cloudy but I assume normally is amazing.

If you can, do this hike on a week day. Very busy on weekends. Nice moderate hike with spectacular views at the top.
Easy access from Cypress parking lot.

It's a beautiful hike but get started early! It starts to get crowded just before noon.

no fee for parking. bring water, no good place to fill your bottle at parking lot. take ski run , not trail for first 2km

superbe balade en foret avec bcp de lacs aux couleurs de l’automne. seul regret, le bruit de l’autoroute lorsque l’on admire la vue sur la sunshine coast

missed a turn to ridge trail and ended up doing the goat mountain instead. but I loved it. you can take for CAD 15 the gondola down. A must do option. Can someone edit hike description to mention this there

5 stars because the peak chalet at the top was a great way to end a very challenging hike.

At 36 and decent shape it took me 1 hour 10 minutes. This hike is basically a stair climb for the entire time with no let up. If you’re looking for a flat smooth hike look elsewhere.

Started at about 11am on Sunday and the crowds weren’t too bad. Bring a credit card for lunch and drinks at the top.

Strangely addictive and I think like anything, it gets easier the more you practice. Pace yourself, take a litre bottle of water per person and wear stretchy clothing as you’ll be stepping up for basically the entire way and scrambling over rocks. Pack an extra layer for the top as it tends to be a bit chillier.

Well marked trail. Incredible views.

Was such a good hike, soo busy! I went on a weekend. Silly me! But nether the less was such a great day. A decent incline and a little bit of climbing, but if you are unstable I would bring poles.

Go early so you can see the view without anyone! It was hard to get a picture without a person in it!

A fantastic morning hike. Yes, some steep uphill to start but well worth it! Amazing fall weather right now for it. Totally recommended.

Nice hike, well-marked in the lower part but somewhat erratic nearing the St. Mark’s peak. Roots can be tricky in this last km of the hikes. Beautiful view from up there. Whiskey Jacks make their presence known.

It was hella hard but if you take frequent breaks and bring good, energy giving snacks and at least two bottles of water per person, you can do it! I felt like the first quarter was harvest when it came to terrain, so when they say it’s harder for the first quarter, it depends on your perspective. Great view at the top and so very worth it!

Definitely a climb in the beginning but 100% worth it!!!

Love this hike little hard at first. But when you get to the top the view is breathtaking. Wow, it's amazing would recommend.

Love this hike. Wow, the view on top it's really amazing. I recommend to everyone.
