Most amazing hike I’ve ever done but much harder than described. Took us 7 hours to do and the entire way up is basically very steep incline switchbacks but 100% worth the view. Out of all the hikes in the Vancouver area I would recommend this the most.

Did this hike yesterday, and wow what a struggle. - I want to start off by saying I started at the wrong end so that was a my bad. BUT there were little to no markers other than little orange tags which looked like someone ran through the trees and just stapled them all over the place. Every once in a while you would come up to a piece of cardboard that someone wrote 'that way' on. DO NOT do this hike without downloading this map first. If we wouldn't have had this map we would have been extremely lost. I'm assuming it wouldn't have been as hard if we started at the proper end of the trail because it would have only been one steep incline for the first hour and then mostly downhill the next couple, but on the end we started on we hiked up and up and up for 3 hours and then down for 1.5 hours. I would rate this as a hard hike, only because of the direction I went, and because of the poorly placed markers. The first vista has an amazing view, but the next nine get gradually worse each time. I'm glad I did this hike, but I don't think I will be doing it again.

Stay safe and make sure to download this map! Also - pack extra water and make sure you are out by 5:30pm! Gates close at 6:00pm.

Did it yesterday! Gorgeous view. It is not difficult but the trail is quite long. In mountain, it was cold.

Did this hike on September 23rd with my dad... what an amazing hike!! Super easy to find the trail head, great markers, and WHAT A VIEW. We didn't actually get that great of a view because it was extremely foggy and also snowing when we got to the peak, but the larches and the scenery close to us made up for that. I would do this hike a million times over, I loved it so much.
Round trip: 7.5 hours! (this is with about an hour of break time as well, and we weren't rushing at all)

DO THIS HIKE PEOPLE. Seriously you will not regret it.

Great reward at the top! Constant up but not difficult.

Stunning! Hiked this trail on 6th October 2018 when the larches were golden. After about halfway the trail was slippery/ icy - would recommend microspikes.

The first bit is easy and flat (part of the Lynn Loop). Climb starts at Coliseum Mountain sign where it says “Allow 7 hours return”. That part took us 5 hours 25 mins return with lots of picture breaks. Probably best marked trail I’ve ever been on. Views up top are pretty!

Quick out and back with a great view from the rock. Always a bit busy but trail goers keep the trail clean.

Beautiful fall hike close to Vancouver! Not busy early in the morning!

Loved the hike to Lindeman but got tired of the rocks pretty quickly on route to Greendrop. Unfortunately we went on a wet day which made trekking the rocks a slippery and slow process. Will do again but on a dry summer day.

Beautiful lake at the end, expect some stair climbing on rocks instead of stairs. Great hike, loved it.

I’d say this trail is more moderate than easy. It would be easy for the fit seasoned hiker, so overall a more moderate-easy for the average joe. There are a large amount of stairs initially, then more nearer the middle and a ton near the end of the hike downwards which you then have to come up on your way back. The only downside is how heavily trafficked the trail is.

Amazing hike, beautiful lake

Easy and dog friendly

Thinking of doing this one the last weekend of September. Would love to know if there’s still water up there then! Please update if you go up there :)

I went with a 5 year old and a 2 year old ....cant take a stroller so we didnt reach the falls but really nice walk

wait for a sunny day, the vistas are amazing

Sep 2. Left parking lot at 8:46 am, summited at 12 pm. 2 hours and 10 mins back to car. Beautiful views up top, hike is medium hard. Puppy made it almost all the way, I carried her the last bit where the rocks were pretty sharp.

Pretty decent, short hike. Good with kids.

a LOT of uphill. But well worth the climb! Luckily it's not ALL that steep. The hike to the Main lake was well worth it. Sat on the dock & ate lunch & thought about how nice it would be next time to go up the Taylor/Black Tusk trail.

It was a good hike with some steep parts. View was ok. Wasn’t marked very well, we had to back track a couple times...lots of people asking if they were going in the right direction, especially at the beginning. Busy place too, I prefer a quieter, less travelled hike.

The trail was quite busy & there was a lot of trash along it so it shows just how well used it actually is. It was mostly frequented by teens. The walk along the river was nice & the falls itself was spectacular! The water was warm & was very refreshing. I felt like a new person after swimming around in it for a while.
I'll be going back for sure.

On a Monday at 9am there were a ton of cars. The hike is not difficult. All switchbacks but doable. I completed it in 3hrs and 40min. Took a 40 min break at the lake to enjoy it. Mind you I ran part of the trail.

Think it would of been worth it to go to panorama if I didn't have somewhere to be.

The lake is drop dead gorgeous. Everything about this hike is easily accessible.

A lot of elevation, and the trail was much longer than the map. I had 23.6 km there and back. Fantastic panoramic views of backcountry, and we got to see a black bear at 15ft. Amazing hike; definitely need the right gear with experience. And take lots of water.

It's was really nice, and we had lots of fun! We saw different little places to swim and enjoyed the nature.

This was an easy-moderate hike. Lots of stairs but not too steep, with soft and mossy trails in between. The view at the end is worth the short hike (36 minutes one way on a very relaxed pace).

All up hill there, but the lake is fairy tale fantastic!

It was misty with rain today. We did the 16km hike that's including the loopback from the west side. The view was not clear from the viewpoint. It was steep to go down from the Diez vista. You must pay attention to the trail markers otherwise you may go the wrong way. all in all, it was a beautiful hike . Be prepared, I recommend footwear with ankle support. we used hiking poles and they definitely helped on the way down .we did the full hike no shortcuts .great hike!

Love this hike!

amazing view at barrier viewpoint and beautiful lake!
