Super good weekend

Fairly easy hike. Only took us a little over an hour to go all the way to the top. Best bang for your buck on hikes since it’s relatively easy with amazing views you usually only get from longer hikes. Only downside is it’s a 3 hour drive from Vancouver. View isn’t as nice as garibaldi but much easier and shorter trail.

Most amazing hike I’ve ever done but much harder than described. Took us 7 hours to do and the entire way up is basically very steep incline switchbacks but 100% worth the view. Out of all the hikes in the Vancouver area I would recommend this the most.

Fabulous hike. The lake is amazingly beaut and rugged. Be sure to take the path to the glacier just past the end of the lake.

Love this hike. Wow, the view on top it's really amazing. I recommend to everyone.

it was a nice sunny day☀. We did the 3 peaks all in 1 day. it was scrambling and steep. The chain was very helpful to climb up. I recommended this hike.

You need proper shoes and no need poles.

1 peak: scramble and ladder.

2 peak: Very challenging. Lots of chains to climb up. There is a shortcut to go to peak 3. It is a very short distance and simple view.

3 peak: from the top...You don't need to go back to the 2 peaks. You can climb down and turn right going to the parking lot. there is no chain or ladder to climb down but steep and lots of rocks.

The rocks are big and steep. You need to pay attention to yellow marks from 3 peaks going down to the parking lot.

Tough trail but great views. I stopped near the peak because I felt uncomfortable doing the rock scramble alone. I passed several people on the trail, especially near sunset. Recommend!

Really beautiful hike, lakes are stunning! Go to the last lake. It’s stunning! The mountains are amazing. I think some parts are on the hard side with the stairs and up hill, but worth the view. I clocked 10 kms but that would have been me exploring a little more. Was stunning!! I did it today. Soo many people though!

Trail well maintained- fabulous view at top - bring nuts for very friendly chipmunks!

Great reward at the top! Constant up but not difficult.

Love this hike! Done it with my kids and dog a few times. Challenging but so worth it!

Super hike to the 3 chiefs, 3 separate summits, with super flat rocks on each for a snack and take in the views. Good stepping practice to start the hike. The alternate route back quite steep in places, take slow.

Amazing views , great challenge

We did this hike at the end of September and it was beautiful! We are unfit so the steady and sometimes steep incline up was a challenge but the lakes and waterfall were definitely amazing enough to warrant the struggle!

We arrived at 8.45 and there were barely any cars there so we had a nice and quiet hike. It got more busy later on in the morning. The lot was full when we left around 1 pm.

Did this hike on the Saturday of the Thanksgiving long weekend. Started at 9:30 am and made it up by 11:30. I am a very new hiker and not in great shape. Took my time and still made decent timing. The first half is easy as far as the terrain goes but does involve some elevation gain. Super muddy and technical closer to the top and for about the last hour. Poles were a huge help due to the slickness! On a busy Saturday the space at the top is very limited but the views are pretty amazing. Once you get to the top you'll see the main rock to catch a view but if you go back to the trail and continue you'll grab a great view of The Lions and another viewpoint further below. Took a few couple minute breaks and with a half an hour at the top it took me 5 hours. It was very busy on the way down so had to stop a lot to share the trail. Enjoy!! :)

Fabulous hike with beautiful turquoise lakes and mountains with glacier above them. Entire trail was VERY icy and snowy on Thursday. Ice traction (e.g., yak trax) for your shoes or boots is extremely helpful as are trekking poles. Some people were sliding down on their butts in particularly icy sections (not for fun, but for safety). Highly recommend this hike! (In my 60’s and made it all the way to Upper Joffre despite the icy conditions thanks to my ice grippers on my running shoes.)

Had an outstanding experience, and the local fauna were more than accommodating.

Yours in good faith,

Cynthia

On Sept 23, with a group of amateur hikers: #Climb4Karam, we hiked the trail, starting 4:30 am, we were done around 5 pm.
My first ever such a hike, it was a great life experience .
I personally did not make it all the way to the peak, about half an hour shy.. Icy conditions at the peak, fresh snow on the ground.
We were met by a bear.
Excellent experience ..

Sweet short hike with beautiful waterfall at the end. Would definitely recommend it for families or as a short stop when you drive by.

Hiked yesterday, it’s late September so we arrived parking lot in complete dark. But it’s one of the best scenes ever seen since I start to hike. The first 6.5 km is long and painful especially in the night time. Personally recommend for hiking in longer daytimes if you are planing to do it in one day. In the peak it’s pretty windy, bring lots of food and water and finish lunch before heading to the last 3 km.

Our family of 8 had a great adventure here! We chose to go clockwise around the lake. Starting with the difficult, and finishing with easy terrain. Construction of a bridge repair made for an extra hour detour. We were slower than most hikers due to little feet. Took 4.5 hours.. We would recommend going to the right (counter clockwise) instead, reach the beach at the end of the lake, then turn around and return the same way you came. Significantly easier, more scenic, and shorter by far. We all had sore feet and were thrilled to see the parking lot.

Beautiful hike but very very busy - this was a Saturday afternoon. Very muddy and rocky after the middle lane and on route to the third lake.

Loved the second lake

Trail work happening on the lower portion of this trail made this trail a little busier than expected. The west side is so much nicer than the east side. Kind of wish we had returned the way we came instead of completing a loop.

Just hiked it again today on a clear day and finally got the views. Just amazing up at the peak! Love this hike! Car to peak in 4 hours and 40 mins, peak to car in 4 hours. Will definitely do again next year

Amazing views at the end!!

Awesome hike!!! Super steep, lots of stairs and have to hold on to chains towards the top. Distance isn’t long but it’s slow going. Don’t bring your dog.

Super gorgeous views! Very muddy and somewhat crowded but still worthwhile

Gorgeous trail and lakes, but SO CROWDED. Even on a Tuesday in mid September.

A great hike! Definitely not an easy hike. Did with a friend as an overnight camp, so had our packs which added a little difficulty. Took us 3.25hrs up and 2.75hrs down. Was the 2nd week of September and the lake was clouded in and it snowed, temp was hovering around 0 degrees so layers were helpful s when you stopped it got cold quick.

Hike itself is a near constant uphill at most points and a steady pace ensures no burn out (i.e. don't rush it at the easy points as the steeper points will take more out of you.) Take your time on the last 500m or so as it is an open, steep climb along large rocks and slippery gravel.
