We hiked it with our little one (9 months) she was in a carrier the first time for her. The beginning part you have to hike the road because the gates aren't open to drive it yet. We started about 7 and two moose crossed our path. We saw deer as well, the nature part was amazing. The trail was easy to follow and the scenery was green. The trail was muddy and slick, wear trash shoes with plenty of traction. Enjoy the beautiful colors, the weather was overcast it had just rained and was cold. Hiking in the evening wear layers.

Really fun and relaxing hike, compared to the heat of previous hikes in this park. Recommend renting the boots/socks/stick to stabilize and keep balance as well as insulate.

My friend and I hit the trail afternoon in a rainy day. we couldn't make it to the donut falls as it started raining at the part where the climbing became complicated so you have to walk on rocks by the side of the river. it would be risky in dry days though. views of the snowy top mountain are amazing. Enjoy!

Best hike in the Park. We did it counter-clockwise which was a good call---also made it a harder hike.

Lots of arches on this one hike.

Do it.

A wonderful hike and beautiful geologic feature. While The Wave was the main event for the hike and certainly worth the effort, the out and back hike and wandering around the area is fascinating. The views are endless.

This hike was super fun. A bit busy in the beginning of the trail but you can break away from crowds about a mile or so into it. Some of the arches are disappointing and others are great. As an avid hiker the trail was a little hard to follow once you get into the primitive trail towards the end of the loop. There is some rock scrambling as well. Just pay attention to the little stacked rocks to stay on trail - I think park rangers put them there for that reason. With exploring off the trail a bit I walked about 9-10 miles and it took me about 5 hours to do total and I would consider myself in shape and an intermediate hiker. All in all,the hike was great and worth it!

Amazing experience!

Lovely

Nice, short and easy hike. Some great views but viewpoint 2 seemed inferior to 1. More up and down than we expected.

Awesome easy trail through the jungle. Great for kids and adults equally.

the climb till the fall is little risky and difficult because of cold flowing water.l which may not be the case in summers.

just do this one to be in harmony with nature.

Loved this. It gets narrower the father you go. I had good hiking shoes and wool socks which worked well. I had a tracking pole. This is a lot of fun!

Wonderful family hike! My sister in law and I made it easily with 5 littles ages 2-5!
PROS:
Going this time of year is SO much less crowded than the summer months and going in the morning meant we had the falls almost to ourselves!
CONS:
The gate was still closed, and that about doubled the hike walking from the main road...though often times the main lot is full anyway and you end up parking far away, regardless!

Great, easy and flat hike to see some beautiful slot canyons! The hike starts out going through a river bed/wash area for about a mile then leads through several slot canyons. The hike ends with one last slot canyon opening into a grand open space area with huge rock walls- almost like a natural amphitheater and intersects the Buckskin Gulch trail. **NOTE: you have to drive about 17 miles down a bumpy, rough dirt road to reach this trailhead!! Be aware it may not be passable with a small/low to the ground vehicle (I made it with my Ford Focus but had to drive very slow). You also may need to purchase a permit at the self-pay station at the trailhead which is generally around $6.00 per person (must pay with cash).

Excellent trail! Was a mix of sand trails and stone trails so lots of variety. We went clockwise so all of the good arches were on the front end. I’m not sure the best way to do it but was an excellent trail.

Nice easy paved trail along the river. This leads to the start of the Narrows trail.

Fun, easy hike. The scenery is fantastic. I went up on May 15th, 2018 in the evening. The ground was damp and there was a decent amount of mud, as well as a couple of places with super packed snow (super dirty snow that blends in with the trail). The water level is kinda high, so I got kinda wet climbing on the rocks up to the waterfall. The rocks are slick and wet, so be careful.

Easy very popular trail. Hiked this yesterday and there were several people. Climbing on top of the rocks is a little scary right now as the water is high. If you want to climb inside the falls I’d wait a few weeks.

Lots of options to break off and explore different areas! lots of heights and gorgeous views. Bring tons of water

Go early to get good light on the rocks.

If you want a challenge but a great reward than I suggest this hike! We got an early start, 630am, and ended around 1pm. It was a long one but we definitely made it a lot longer by finding own own paths and exploring as much as we could! This is breathtaking! I honestly felt like I was on Mars! It is a great challenge, especially the second half. If you’re afraid of heights then this might not be for you. Bring LOTS of water and sunscreen especially if you’re hiking in the hotter months. Bring lunch and snacks and find an awesome rock to sit on and gaze over. You will definitely be happy you did this trail!

If I didnt want a longer hike this ones good. I did it when I finished hidden canyon late afternoon. The observation deck was popular earlier but near the end of the day not many people were there.

fun! rent the canyoneering shoes and neoprene booties worth it. the side canyon was cool too.

Very easy, and so much beauty!

Super easy trail, and such a beautiful lay off at the end!

Love the hike! Easy trail and great reward at the end!

Spur of the moment we decided to take our 6 & 9 year old on this hike. Great hike and a beautiful waterfall. We all really enjoyed it and want to take friends next time.

Extremely beautiful! It’s a short hike so it’s great for younger children

Fun to walk through the water! Pretty busy the first mile, but less the further you go.
