Great views of lava rock, flowers, caves and mountains. Not much shade and very hot in the summer.

For the $8 entry fee into Kodachrome, this park might be one of the best value stops in the area! We started the long loop around noon on a very warm and sunny day; as we started out, my group had some regrets about not starting earlier because it is very exposed and very warm, but as indicated by the materials provided at the visitors' center...if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes! We experienced full sun, cloud cover, wind, rain, thunder/lightning during our 2.5 hour hike. Highly recommend sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water! The Cool Cave at the halfway point is a serene, crisp and cool reward for sweating out the first three miles. It's no Bryce Canyon, but this less-traveled trail would be great for all levels of physical fitness and families; plan on picking up a lot of red dust! Also, up the road there is an awesome and extremely well-tended laundromat and restrooms to clean up and regroup after your hike!

Get out early. Love this trail . Great for mountain biking, hiking, jogging.

Nice short hike. Park map shows it has slot canyons, but I think that’s a stretch. It’s a steep short hike over rocks at the end. It’s always nice and cool up high, by the red rocks.

Short easy trail. Scrambling up the steep rock to the pioneer names is a blast! There are two points of entry onto the trail. The one where you can see the names from the road is shorter.

We've done this hike several times and finally thought to bring some headlamps. The caves are nice and cool so if you bring water you will be fine out in the sun. Fun for kids to discover.

This is a quick stop. Take a picture. Continue on type of hike. When I saw images of this I thought it would be awesome but the canyon is very short and that picture is hard to get as it is a popular hike.

Zion is one of my favorite places in Utah but sometimes when visiting St George you need to do something different. Snow canyon is maybe a one day, once only thing but there is some fun hikes. We took our girls to this arch right as the sun was coming down and had beautiful red colors going in, and a nice cool shadow to enjoy the last part of the hike. Not a hike to write home about but a nice walk with the kids.

Nice short hike. The views we're good and formations were interesting.

Easy and fun trail. It is kind of a mix between Arches and Goblin Valley. Great views of all different rock formations and very few people in the park.

Easy. Cool respite in the late morning shade, with sun not quite overhead.

The Trail is closed till September unless you have a guide.

great little in and out Trail especially for families with smaller children. Relatively flat and well-marked Trail. short and sweet but not much shade

Fun little trail that gives you the option of exploring a few box canyons.

This trail offers decent vista views but the arch is nothing to get excited about. For a challenge at the end, one can take the slickrock cut-off (it's marked). Almost stepped on a rattlesnake, so be wary that they like this trail.

Probably the best trail in Kodachrome. Expansive views, interesting rock features. If you only do one trail in Kodachrome, it should be this one.

Short enough even on a hot day. Bring a flashlight/headlamp for the lava tubes. There are 2 which are 100's of feet long into the ground and out of day light. Our 7 year old was more than able to scramble in and the teen's loved it.

It was totally unlike any hike I’ve ever done. Sorta felt like I was walking on Mars

Th perfect hike or those with small children. Once you get to the amphitheater kids love exploring the rocks and playing in the sand. If you go in the summer the sand can get very hot so make sure to go earlier in the day so the kids can still play. So many cool places to take pictures.

Perfect if you have littles. Short, beautiful, and young kids love exploring the little slot canyon. Plus if you go in the summer, the little canyon is completely shaded so you get a little break from the sun.

Good hike with beautiful scenery. Really best if you add an out and back along Paradise Rim and Scout Cave Trail...some of the best scenery looking into Snow Canyon from that route.

Easy way to see a slot canyon if you don’t have time for a big trek. Can be in and out in 10 min!

Very pretty, well marked trail even for beginners like us it was great!!

Great adventure for families, and anyone wanting a short hike it’s a sun break. The lave tube were fun and nice cool break from the sun. We climbed down in them and the kids loved it.
