Crowded but epic

Sooooo many people....

Best arch in the national park! And the hike wasn’t as hard as some may say. Just make sure you start early enough to beat the heat and avoid crowds. We started at 7 am and that was the perfect time. I wouldn’t recommend starting this hike midday; it should honestly be closed around 11 am - 4 pm because that heat can be dangerous!

Fun trail with three distinct sections. Just be careful, sign at trailhead lists it as “1.5....one way.” Quickly read it and assumed it was mileage for out and back (like normal...). Was in for a slightly longer trip than planned. Lots of groups complaining about water very early on and resting in any shade they could find. Also lots of little kids with no water and barely any clothing/protection. Plan appropriately, it’s lots of sun and decent climbing for families.

Mentally tough but rewarding hike.

I hiked this trail starting around 10am before it got too hot. It was pretty steep and I had to stop and catch my breath a few times. There were a lot of people in the same boat. The view from the arch was well worth the hike.

Hard hike but worth every minute!

This has made its way to one of my favorite hiking trails. This is a moderate hike that includes navigating rocks, some climbing and crossing the creek several times (and sometimes there weren’t rocks to walk across so wear good hiking boots). I hiked alone but saw about a dozen people during the entire hike. There are some small signs and cairns along the trail to help keep you on course which I was thankful for at times. The arch and natural waterfall forcing its way between two rock faces was worth it at the end.

i love this hike. not for non hikers.

Very worthwhile walk to see delicate arch. It was super hot so wear a broad rimmed hat and bring plenty water. There are some shady areas under trees and rocks on the way up but it's 95% exposed. Terrain is varied and includes walking up a rock.... not a problem if it's dry. Great views at top. We took some time to enjoy view before returning down. We stopped by to see the petroglyphs.

People are insanely unprepared for this hike. Energy levels are showing way to low and the main hike to the top hasn't even started. The chains are a huge help, but this isn't for the average "walker" or tourist in a pair of snickers. You must be prepared for this, hydrated and the proper footwear. Seriously people! no more near misses- this trail will close permanently

Easy enough hike, could be at the top and down again in under an hour. If you are looking to stretch the legs before a more advance hike I suggest this one. Views are incredible from above

This s one of my favorite hikes of all time!! I've done it several times. Incredible!!!!!I would recommend going early in the morning ( at least in the summer) the sun can be pretty brutal.

Amazing

easy hike, if you can call it that. it is less than 30 minutes but a fun experience if you have the time.

Very beautiful. I saw stars here at night, but it's really hard to find the way in the dark.

A must see in arches and Moab. Take plenty of water. Very hot and busy with people all day long. The hustle and bustle of all the people almost makes it more exciting in this case though. Not as negative as when I see lots of people on other trails I do.

A must do hike. We didn’t realize the green splotches on the ground were there to guide us so we did a lot of extra hiking. We went at 4:00 pm the last day of July so it was pretty hot and miserable until we made it to the other side of the mountain where you can view the arch from. Even in the terrible heat all four of our young kids were able to make it. They really enjoyed pulling themselves up the ladder and rope areas.

Short, easy hike. Nice cool place

It's funny to hike with chains in the hand, but don't too worry about the danger. Just be careful. Actually the most difficult part is before reaching the cliff, as it's very steep. When you hike with chains, you always need to stop to wait for others in the opposite direction, so will not be very tired.

Totally worth it! Bring 2 liter of water with you in the hot summer.

Gorgeous trail. It takes you down, so you can walk among the hoodoos.

Although the grade is steep to walk up to the falls, I didn't feel this was a hike - more of a walk up to the falls. This is a good trail for families because it's paved and wide. Just be careful nobody slips on the water.
This is a short hike, so every time I'm in Zion, I tack it onto my other hikes.

Nice trail!

Delicate Arch was amazing to view and it was definitely worth the hike! Bring a lot of water and make sure you look at the other scenery on the way up and down. It’s breathtaking.

What an incredible hike! I did it alone after consulting with some Utah friends. Right when you think you might be lost, there are green paint splotches on the rocks guiding you all the way to the Arch. Start early as there is no shade. Also wear good hiking shoes. So worth it!

Great hike. I didn’t do the chains but my girlfriend did and loved it. Even the hike up to the plateau at the top is worth it though. Go early to avoid crowds.

One of the best, most iconic hikes in the country. Hope it opens up again soon.

Definitely go as early as you can, the crowds are insane. Arrived at the park at 8am, left about 10:30. It’s a beautiful uphill climb to the arch, with little shade. At 8am in early August the heat wasn’t bad, but definitely bring water. There’s a line of people waiting to pose in the arch, so it’s near impossible to get a snap of it without some strangers, but still worth seeing.

Awesome trail beautiful views and not to bad of a hike
