Be warned! This trail is EXTREMELY busy. If the weather is good expect LOTS of hikers. Even backed up traffic on parts of the trail, especially the last .5 mile. If you're not fond of heavily trafficked trails then I suggest you go really early to beat the crowd. Otherwise dont be a jerk trying to rush people on narrow parts of the trail. Everyone hikes at a different skill level and I hate seeing punks bullying others to hurry up. It's better to be safe and go slow then pushing your way through narrow parts of the trail.

Anyways! I hiked Angel's Landing 12/15/18. Weather was perfect. No snow, no ice on the trail. The trail was nicely maintained and paved almost all the way which made it that much easier to hike. Not gonna lie, the view was nice but not the greatest. That's just my opinion. Although definitely worth seeing once in a lifetime. If you're in Zion, spare 4-5 hours for Angel's Landing. Happy Hiking and be safe.

Spectacular and well worth it. the last pitch is chained but extremely busy at times with people trying to pass one another with only a few feet between the chains and the cliff.

Hiked it yesterday 12/13. Absolutely awesome hike. Took my Dad and he enjoyed it as well. We started around 8am and were on the top by 9:30 or so. We enjoyed 45mins all to ourselves up there before we saw anyone. Perfect weather as well. Stoked to finally knock this one out since it was closed when I was here in September.

One of the hardest but great scenery on the top of mountain.

Absolutely breath taking!

Great easy hike. We ended up making it in 1 hour and 40 Mins out and back. Definitely recommend for a quick beautiful walk by the river

Probably one of my favorite hikes in Utah. The gate is closed... BUT! It’s not like last year when the gate was closed (13 miles total) now it only adds about 3 miles overall. So it’s about a 7-8 miles total. For the first timers if you want to make the trip faster I’d HIGHLY recommend bringing a couple bicycles and a good lock. You can bike the first mile and a half. There were about 20 or so people up there when we got to the springs at 2 pm. I’d definitely recommend spikes for the hike. Some parts are hard packed snow/ice. You can do it in just shoes tho. Don’t leave your trash up there and be respectful. Also, expect to see some nudity. Welcome to the wilderness

This hike was everything everybody said it would be, and more. Perfect weather and trail conditions.

Beautiful sights, challenging hike and uplifting experience!

Great views! Unfortunatly for us, we have to avoid last sector by icy.
For me one of the best perspectives.

12/4/2018 GATE IS CLOSED

Hike it anyway if you can. So amazing. Super easy hike, not sure why this is rated moderate. We hiked 2 days after a full day of snow and had no problems in regular waterproof hiking boots. There were two small parts that were slightly slick, but really, no big deal to get past. We're from Florida, so not expert snow hikers or anything. So glad we showed up to try this hike after being slightly worried from previous reviews. The path is basically a snow covered sidewalk. And the springs are great!

Nice little offshoot from Frary Peak Trail. Hiked 12/3 after hard snow previous day. Had no problem with regular hiking boots.

Beautiful view from the top! Well worth the effort. My then 7 year old was a little nervous about the narrow top portion of the hike, but she toughed it out and wasn’t scared once we were at the wide and mostly flat top of the peak.

This is such a cool slot canyon hike! Went at the very end of November and a lot of the creek was completely iced over. But if you’re slow and careful, you can still see a good bit of the slot canyons! The road to get there is pretty rough, but definitely do-able in AWD.

We hiked AL on Dec. 1st. 2018. We could not have asked for better weather. The condition of the tral was excellent. I would recommend checking the forecast, have good hiking shoes or boots and bring plenty of water and protein. Bars/bananas etc. The view from the top and also along the way is phenomenal. Cheers.

Did this loop in about 4hrs, hit all
The canyons, I’m a photographer to the photos were awesome! A lot better than dealing with the overpopulated slot canyons in AZ, and permitted. Some of the canyons get pretty tight so squeezing is required in some places and I am pretty fit. Had my camera backpack and had to remove to move forward through some areas. Hiking some of the trail can be strenuous through the sand so be prepared. But if you want beautiful slot canyons for photography, these are excellent!

What a beautiful walk. Did this 27th November. The snow made it all look like a wonderland and even more reason to stay in the hot springs longer when it’s cold outside. Beware we wore walking boots but the trail was very icy and slippery in places so we were sliding and a few falls along the way. Would definitely recommend spikes!! The springs were super warm and was only 3/4 other people there. Would recommend bringing waterproof shoes/sandals just for when your in the pools. The hike isn’t too changing and took us about an hour to get there and 50 mins on the way back.

Hiked Nov. 25, gate was still open and road to the trailhead was fine (with a couple of short icy spots). Awesome hike, but would definitely recommend chains or spikes for your shoes (a hiking pole at the very least). I was wearing chains and I still wiped out a few times on the icy trail, and I saw a lot of people in tennis shoes struggling a LOT to get up and downhill. Don't forget to take off any jewelry before soaking.. I forgot to take my rings off and they turned black from the sulphur almost immediately. Also saw a couple of nude bathers.. they weren't bothering anyone, but just be aware.

Awesome experience!!! I loved everything about this hike!!

Amazing rewarding hike to angels landing, with the 360 views at the top making the uphill struggle worth it. Is strenuous with Steep incline to the top with lots of switchbacks and with the final kilometre having chains to help up to the top of angels landing along a steep ridge. Definitely not for those scared of heights. Took us about 2 hours to get to the top but took plenty of rest stops along the way and about an 1.5 down. To get to trailhead there is shuttle bus service as the road is for shuttle bus only but buses come every few minutes and run until after sunset. The trail was very busy even in mid November.

Really beautiful hike. Moderate in terms of the physical effort. Hard if you’re scared of heights.

Peaceful hike at the end of the day. We did it in the evening and were given quite the show by Zion. The sun setting on the Watchman Mt was beautiful.

Fun hike on Thanksgiving.

Easy, paved walk in Zion National Park that goes along the river. Pretty views. There are lots of better trails in Zion, but this is the only one that allows dogs, so it’s the best trail for us dog lovers!

The last half mile is an outstanding hike with a few fun sections and the view is amazing at the top! Unfortunately the first part of the hike is extremely crowded and it’s basically a paved path of switchbacks all the way up. Regardless of the crowd it’s well worth it if you can make it to the end.

Love love loved this area!!!

Get there early to beat the crowds

Absolutely must at the Zion's ! Incredible experience in the middle November..it gets really cold and dark, when the sun goes down. Beautiful and breathtaking view !

We took our eight kids on this hike and had a great time. The kids loved playing hide and seek in the rock formations. Highly recommended.

We loved this hike through Zion Canyon! We thought we were arrived after the first meters chain but the true ascension was just beginning! The view really worth the effort! Be sure to have hiking shoes and no dizziness.
