This trail is a moderate to gradual climb up many levels of large outcropping rocks . After a rainy day the water is beautiful but it will be a bit muddy...

Perfect hike for after you've done Angel's Landing in the morning. Easy out and back trail with beautiful up canyon views. Do yourself a favor and take the dry creek bed "shortcut" on your way back to the Visitor's Center.

Extraordinary hike combining clean hikes, to more strenuous adventurers. Rock climbing, stair masters and high elevations — nice stop points to have lunch and take-in the spectacular views. One of my favorite ad it combines a little bit of everything into one full day hike. Wouldn’t suggest this hike as family friendly.

Makes a nice day for an easy hike, incorporating scrambling and some adventure if combine weeping rock.

Mild hike with exquisite views - quick 2 hours to complete full trail with stops.

This place is beautiful!! A must see.

This hike is fantastic. Pretty strenuous, but the payoff is amazing. The views cannot be beat. There are some steep dropoffs, but the trail is wide enough and it’s nice to have the mountain on one side of you. Every part of this hike is jaw-dropping. Echo Canyon is so cool and the views from the top are breathtaking. Did this in early December and the cool air was very welcome! There was snow but only at the very top on the last flat stretch. A must do hike!

Pretty trail with decent elevation gain. I went on a rainy, misty day, so I didn’t quite get the views. But it was still a nice hike. Easy to follow and a good workout for a shorter hike.

Easy paved hike to the lower Emerald Pool. The Trail to the upper pool was closed. I went on a rainy day so there were two waterfalls at the lower pool. It’s pretty, but not quite as memorable as some of the other Zion hikes. Good for a rainy day though as it’s not really a hike for views/vistas.

Made the best of the Emerald Pool and waterfall since the others were closed. A good walk, on mostly pavement, that almost anyone could do. Beautiful views all around you along the way.

Great hike over looking the Zion canyon and angels landing. I would have to say this was my favorite hike compared to angels landing b fuse you are at a high elevation see everything

October 2018- this hike is definitely a must do! We started at about 745 AM. Every turn had stunning views. We took so many pictures. The overlook was my favorite in the region. We saw chipmunks at the top. It took us 4 hours and 15 minutes. Don’t miss out on this hike!

The whole way up to the ”Observation Point“ hast great views and interesting sceneries. The big reward for the ascent is the perfect view up and down the main canyon of Zion NP.

Favorite hike in Zion

on The Watchman Trail

Nice walk up to a watchman point but lower down viewpoint than many of the others in Zion but still get some good views. Easy trail to follow and fairly well trafficked. Would recommend if you want a nice moderate walk in Zion but not life changing.

Amazing walk with great views over Zion canyon. Definitely worth the many switchback and long uphill climb. The trail is really easy to follow. It took us 2 hours to get to the top and just over an hour to great down. Would advise to head out early to beat the crowds, also the shuttle bus is only way to get to trailhead and back but they come every few minutes with first and last bus times varying depending on the time of year. Toilets are at the trailhead.

Great hike. Rent the gear, it is worth it. The farther you go up the less people you encounter. We went as far as you can go without a permit which is Big Spring. Start earlier rather than later to enjoy more time exploring as it gets dark early in the narrow canyon.

Peaceful hike at the end of the day. We did it in the evening and were given quite the show by Zion. The sun setting on the Watchman Mt was beautiful.

Easy, paved walk in Zion National Park that goes along the river. Pretty views. There are lots of better trails in Zion, but this is the only one that allows dogs, so it’s the best trail for us dog lovers!

In late November, we were only able to make it about a half mile down this trail due to standing water, but the section we saw was beautiful. In dryer portions of the year, this would definitely be worth the hike. Sections are a little more challenging for younger kids - it’s not so much a trail as much a dry-ish wash, but doable if you take your time.

Absolutely amazing place to hike!

Only had time to do half this loop but what we did complete was beautiful. Once you got past the Angels landing crowds and onto the west Rim trail that branches off from Angels landing it was quiet, peaceful and had amazing views.

One of my favorites in Zion. This trail gives you a variety of scenery and the end point gives you one of the best views in the park.

A long huff up on one of the hardest ascents in the park, but the variety of geology, slot canyon fun, geologic variation, and astounding views are Zion at its best. Start early, bring lunch, and hydrate.

MEH. Uneventful, compared to other water features. Muddy trail and a lot of traffic. The views are all looking UP.

last min hike to see the sunset. im glad i did it!

Our family loved this hike. We have 4 kids, from 12-3 and they all had a great time. It kind of has it all: slot canyons, places to explore, a tunnel, water to splash in and heiroglyphs...we even saw a large herd of Bighorn Sheep above us. All of this in just a mile or two. After parking at the two port-o-potties (.8 miles after second tunnel was perfectly accurate), we headed east and down the hill into the wash. We walked mostly east for probably 1/2 mile before it turned north, then it wound east again. Right after we started heading east again, we noticed a trail(ish) heading north and didn’t have to go far to see the tunnel that took us under the road. We could’ve kept going east though and I’m sure that would’ve been fun too. Turning north to go under the bridge took us past the heiroglyphs (along red cliff wall) and up (there’s a large curved, smooth rock you have to scale) to the pools. Such a fun, diverse and beautiful area to explore and we didn’t have to share it with anyone!

Did it in august. Bring with you at least 3l water. The view is astonishing

One breathtaking view after another. Beautiful!!!
