Perfect hike for after you've done Angel's Landing in the morning. Easy out and back trail with beautiful up canyon views. Do yourself a favor and take the dry creek bed "shortcut" on your way back to the Visitor's Center.

This hike was everything everybody said it would be, and more. Perfect weather and trail conditions.

Mild hike with exquisite views - quick 2 hours to complete full trail with stops.

Beautiful sights, challenging hike and uplifting experience!

Great hike. We started at 7 am and finished by 2 pm. No wild life . Saw 2 birds and 1 fish

Great views! Unfortunatly for us, we have to avoid last sector by icy.
For me one of the best perspectives.

Most exhilarating hike ever!

Beautiful view from the top! Well worth the effort. My then 7 year old was a little nervous about the narrow top portion of the hike, but she toughed it out and wasn’t scared once we were at the wide and mostly flat top of the peak.

This hike is awesome - very easy to follow and very little elevation gain with amazing views. However it was really crowded just before sunset on a cold December day, so I bet it’s crazy on a nice summer day. The views are amazing though!

Pretty trail with decent elevation gain. I went on a rainy, misty day, so I didn’t quite get the views. But it was still a nice hike. Easy to follow and a good workout for a shorter hike.

We hiked AL on Dec. 1st. 2018. We could not have asked for better weather. The condition of the tral was excellent. I would recommend checking the forecast, have good hiking shoes or boots and bring plenty of water and protein. Bars/bananas etc. The view from the top and also along the way is phenomenal. Cheers.

beautiful hike, way too crowded though. Very easy, and paved. Watch out for the squirrels. They make it impossible to stop for a snack :-)

I did this trail 2 days ago without really knowing what I was getting myself into. My two friends had a permit they got months ago and I added onto it the day before which was great but I didn’t have the opportunity to do much research. The other reviewers on here are really down playing the difficulty level of this trail. With numbers like 7 miles and 1200’ of elevation change I thought this would be a breeze but I was happily surprised by the challenging terrain. After the 400’ incline getting down the canyon you are in and out of walking in the river, along with constantly climbing over boulders the entire way up. The way back kept the fun going until you get back to the wall you have to climb up to get out of the canyon. This hike was a challenge that I enjoyed every minute of! Definitely now one of my all time favorite hikes. I was very happy I rented dry pants and neoprene socks for this trail although at the beginning I questioned if that decision was really necessary. I am usually a fast hiker but this trail took me a full 8 hours with very few breaks!

Awesome experience!!! I loved everything about this hike!!

on The Watchman Trail

Nice walk up to a watchman point but lower down viewpoint than many of the others in Zion but still get some good views. Easy trail to follow and fairly well trafficked. Would recommend if you want a nice moderate walk in Zion but not life changing.

Nice short walk along the river. Accessible for wheelchairs as fully pathed. Is very heavily trafficked. If want to go far into the narrows you can hire waterproof boot and trousers from the visitor centre for the next day.

Amazing rewarding hike to angels landing, with the 360 views at the top making the uphill struggle worth it. Is strenuous with Steep incline to the top with lots of switchbacks and with the final kilometre having chains to help up to the top of angels landing along a steep ridge. Definitely not for those scared of heights. Took us about 2 hours to get to the top but took plenty of rest stops along the way and about an 1.5 down. To get to trailhead there is shuttle bus service as the road is for shuttle bus only but buses come every few minutes and run until after sunset. The trail was very busy even in mid November.

Nice short trail with great overlook of Zion. Was very busy trail even in mid November. Also limited parking but there is some alongside the road, but this was also nearly full up.

Really beautiful hike. Moderate in terms of the physical effort. Hard if you’re scared of heights.

Perfect hike for kids and older parents. crowded though so go earlier in day rather than later.

An experience I’ll never forget. This backcountry is absolutely stunning. My friends and I signed up for the lottery twice. Got picked on the 2nd attempt. We arrived and made acquaintances with our fellow lottery winner and a volunteer hiker, Charlie. He ended up guiding us all the way to the Wave and giving us some lessons along the way. Best way to spend my birthday week! Try to grab a spot on the BLM page. If not, best of luck on the day you sign up at the BLM office!

Fun hike on Thanksgiving.

The last half mile is an outstanding hike with a few fun sections and the view is amazing at the top! Unfortunately the first part of the hike is extremely crowded and it’s basically a paved path of switchbacks all the way up. Regardless of the crowd it’s well worth it if you can make it to the end.

A crowded but short hike with huge rewarding views at it's stopping point.

I won the Lottery! The lottery today was for Thanksgiving & Black Friday. 90 groups, representing 264 hikers, wanted the 20 permits. I feel like Charlie from Wllly Wonka and the Chocolate factory. I was the last one called for Friday. I got the last winning ticket. My first time in the walk up lottery. Did I mention I won the Lottery?

Perfect easy hike to get a taste of Zion. Very crowded though.

this is the hike that gives you want zion is all about. canyons and water. next time I would not rent gear. but yes for the colder people. yes it's fun, scenic.

Love love loved this area!!!

Get there early to beat the crowds

A very fun trail, good for almost any level of experience hiker. The initial decent into the canyon is he only “hard” part that could be challenging on the way back up. But for any reasonably fit person it’s super fun. We did it two days before thanksgiving and rented dry socks, boots, and dry pants which I think was totally worth it to be able to walk through the water and play around. It was about 40-50 degrees and just a tiny bit cold on the feet but once you’re moving we stayed very warm and we’re not at all uncomfortable. There were people that did it with regular boots on and managed to stay dry it just takes a little longer to navigate around the water at times. In terms of timing it took us about 5 hours to complete. Started at 8am and finished around 2pm. We stopped to take photos about 3 times for approximately 10 minutes each time and a 20 minute lunch break. Would love to come back and do this in the summer!!!
